The Personal, the Venezuelan and Ecuadorian guys were really nice and always servicial. The hotel was beautiful and really clean.

Really nice rooms and good shower. Stayed only one night and came late so can’t tell a lot.
Soundproofing left a lot to be desired.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. We arranged a taxi with them to pick us up at the airport, which was nice because we came in at about midnight. He was waiting with a name sign so we knew who he was. We had the front room but it was mostly quiet. Loved the upstairs kitchen area. Very cute place, would stay again!

cute and cosy rooms in a good location. the only thing was that the shower door was broken so water went everywhere

The room was cute. The woman who worked generally in the evenings was nice and helpful while my partner was sick. Nice balcony to work on.
The man who works here was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I only had breakfast once out of our whole time there because you apparently had to let the staff know the night before you’d be joining, even though literally no one ever told me that and all breakfast was were sad eggs and gross yogurt with fruit. The location is terrible, they basically say don’t walk anywhere at night so we ordered in dinner almost every night. I didn’t feel safe there. Would not stay here ever again.

Jimmy and team. We felt at home in the cozy relaxed hotel. It was more like visiting friends in their home than staying in a stuffy, impersonal chain.
The only improvement I can think of is the room could have had more lighting. We enjoyed our visit and would gladly stay longer if we could.

Excellent breakfast.
Location is closed to old town. 45minutes walk or less than US $ 5 taxi.

We arrived early and they let us put our bags to safety while we visited the surroundings until the room was ready. The shared balconies are great to enjoy a beer. The neighborhood isn't the prettiest but there are nice restaurants and the El Ejido park nearby is amazing on a sunny day.

i would suggest better/newer equipment on units with kitchen. microwave?
Mary was awesome in helping us!

Staff was very helpful and the room was great.
There was a smoking area right outside our room, and the smoke came into the room through the cracks around the window. Not the best room for a couple of non-smokers.

nice location, interesting building
my bed was cold, something about the mattress topper didn’t warm up? The restaurant had very limited offerings, and when I asked for a vegetarian option (of the frozen pizza selection) I was told that they just never has enough demand for that. No thank you for not trying to accommodate me, despite having veggie options on the menu board. so I had a beer.

This place is nice - lots of wood and art-deco vibe, good size rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff. The value for money is very good. The building is an older one and the rooms themselves are more on the basic side. It is about a 7-8 minute walk to the market and to the Plaza Foch where the dinner restaurants are. For what we paid, we were very happy with this place. The foosball table in the cafe was nice bonus for our teens.
The breakfasts were basic (eggs, very small cheese sandwich, small pineapple/banana fruit bowl)- a little more variety in fruit and/or more generous cheese sandwich serving would help make this a better breakfast. The curtains were very thin, so the room is very light in the early mornings.

Location was rough, sheets and blankets dirty.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely patio area on the second floor.

good amenities overall
ok neighbourhood (walking distance to most things within 30 mins walk, but not super central)
friendly guy on reception upon arrival in the late evening who spoke perfect English
no hot water in the shower
upon payment at check out I was told that I need to pay extra 12 usd if I want to pay by card. clearly it was not communicated anywhere and after us discussing for five mins they dropped the so called ‘charge’. unacceptable to even try

friendly staffs
same breakfast daily
if they can write the name bigger with some lights it’s really hard to spot in day time impossible to found at night for first timer.

I have stayed at the Art Plaza several times. To be very honest its the service that causes me to return. There are 2 Venezuelanos that work there. They are plesant and helpful and always greet with a smile and the desire to be of service. Additionally, they speak wonderful English. Personally, customer serevice in a primary focus when I am away from home. They make the cost worthwile. Thank you for your service.
My 2 issues are the breakfast and the size of the showers. For the cost of breakfast more food should be served. Before, the breakfast was at least sufficient for you to feel like you have eaten. Now the portions are so ridiculously small that I had to leave and take my kids to eat immediatley after. The other challenge for me is that the shower in the room we stayed was so small that I could barely turn around. I am a thin woman thats neither more than average in height or weight, yet I could barely turn around in the shower. Like I have stated, this is not my first time at the Art Plaza, its just that in this room, the shower was too small to be comfortable.

The staff is exceptional! Carolina went out of her way to help us organizing tours for the very short time we had in Quito. Without her we wouldn't have managed so much in such a short time, on such a short notice.
The setting and decoration of the hotel beatiful. The location is wonderful. The breakfast is excellent! The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable.
The value for money was unbeatable.
Would definately stay there again

On one of the 3 nights there was no hot water at night - the other days were fine. Don't know if it was a one time glitch...

Great hotel! We especially liked the large comfortable beds. The breakfast was nice, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the place is nicely decorated. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children and we were comfortable in our room with 2 double beds.
