Location good within easy walking reach of restaurants - staff friendly and helpful - we were moved to a room with a double bed as soon as one was available and they were accommodating about arranging an extra night stay for us
Breakfast was nice and served on a pretty roof terrace

Sehr schönes, kleines, sauberes Zimmer, hervorragendes Frühstück, was auf der Dachterrasse bei schönster Aussicht serviert wird. Die Lage ist perfekt, um alles fussläufig zu erkunden.
Gesamtes Personal sehr freundlich.

Breakfast and upstairs patio where it was served was wonderful
Noisy room on the street. There are two of these with balconies. Others are likely more removed and quieter.

The best at Comala is definitely their staff. Cesar was very helpful and made great recommendations from day one.
Spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was delicious
The cocktails were great.

Great location, lovely roof terrace and the staff were so lovely. We left a few things in the room and they have been so kind getting them back. Beds are very comfy and air conditioning is great.
Nothing!

Great location, beautiful roof terrace, lovely people. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the trees while having breakfast. A brilliant place to base yourself in Oaxaca. Thank you!

Location, staff and available cafe (breakfast not included in our Booking.com room - we booked additional nights direct, with breakfast included!) one of the staff speaks English and the others are handy with their phone translators! There is a laundry just around the corner. Rooms have separate WiFi networks and include Netflix with an English account. It seemed like we could access content beyond Netflix Mexico(?) There are outlets on each side of beds in the small ground- floor rooms we occupied. Hot water and a clear glass drinking water dispenser instead of plastic bottles. Lovely shared rooftop terrace. Walking distance to zocalo and cathedral. Would definitely recommend this clean, basic lodging for short stays!
The ground floor rooms are tiny with no hooks or counter space apart from a cabinet which could accommodate carry on luggage. There are no screens on windows, but AC works well. Also need additional towel rods.

Quite a few things actually
1. Our evening flight was delayed quite a bit, so we arrived very late, however the owner was there to greet us and make us feel comfortable, as well as give recommendations to late night taco spots (there’s one literally half a block up the road)
2. Extremely friendly staff and very clean rooms. Absolutely fantastic location.
3. Owner seeing us off at 6am to a waiting taxi, and offering us complimentary breakfast one of the mornings.

Location. Friendly staff
Noise from the road is far too loud for sleeping. We were lucky we could change rooms. I would not stay if I had to sleep on one of the roadside rooms which are listed as deluxe.

Great PEOPLE! Great location! If you want a place where you will be taken care of and be walking distance to all Oaxaca downtown sites, this is the place. The staff are the most friendly and kindest people you can have while you are on a trip. My wife got sick and our hosts treated us like family. You cannot pay for that.

This was an all-around great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The rooftop terrace was a lovely space. It was quiet and clean. The location was excellent, just a shirt walk from the historic districts. Breakfast was great, too.
The room could have benefitted from a ceiling fan.

Super clean. Very conveniently located close to attractions. Comfortable beds. Air conditioned. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Really nothing.

It is a very cute and pkeasant hotel with very nice staff!

Comala's managers Andres and Alex and their staff are exceptionally nice. The hotel is maintained clean and lovely, with eccentric decorations adding characters to this place. The Wi-fi and AC worked perfectly in my room. You'd need to run the water for a min to get hot water, but it is definitely available. The location is pretty central and only a short walk to most of the tourist attractions in city center.
Noise in the bathroom travels far and clear...

Carlos is a fantastic host at Comala B & B. Breakfast was amazing and had a nice variety. Great location, you can easily walk to many restaurants in city center. The room was clean and cozy. I would highly recommend this place for host friendliness, location and cleanliness. Also, I did have lunch there once and it was fresh and delicious.
really nothing..the shower took a few minutes to get warm but not a big deal. otherwise, a very nice and comfortable stay.

cozy rooms are very spacious and balcony areas are a gem since they have rocking chairs. Lovely staffs who were welcoming and attentive. Great breakfast as well!

I really liked our stay here - the beds were super comfy, the staff were amazing, and the rooftop beautiful! We checked out early and I couldn't thank the B&B enough for all their help and for being so understanding!

Andres, the host, was so friendly and helpful. He made our trip really comfortable, helped us plan tours and let us keep our bags at the hotel for ages after we checked out. Amazing location too

clean, nice stuff, breakfast was excellent
we had room in front and it was a bit noise from the morning commute

proximity to points of interest 7-14 min walking max ( eg jardin etnobotanico/ jalatlaco neighborhood). super clean. very attentive communication about arrival. Andres the manager makes the stay smooth. Cesar the waiter was very sweet and generally the whole staff is very kind. I felt very safe at this property.
the rooms are smaller but very functional and the cleaning staff kept it spotless.
nothing. they even offered to use their kitchen fridge if I had food to store.

little far from down town.
The beds are little small.

We loved this place. Very welcoming and hospitable staff, lovely room and terrace- there are very comfortable egg type chairs which I didn't see in the photos. Great base to walk around both the city centre but also some of the fringe neighbourhoods that offer quieter markets and streets to explore. Thank you!
