If you are looking for a place for the whole family or all of your friends to stay together, look no further! This property actually has three units on it: a beautiful farmhouse style home with three bedrooms, a completely renovated barn which is a fantastic mixture of rustic and modern, and a quaint cottage. The barn features a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and an awesome bunk room complete with two sets of bunk beds and a cabin bed! The kids (and adults) are sure to love it. The attached cottage has one bedroom and its own fireplace and separate kitchen. Complete with wrap around porch, a three fireplaces, and a rooftop patio with pool table, this compound is the perfect venue for gatherings of large families and groups to relax and enjoy one another's company, while still maintaining privacy - the best of both worlds. The outdoor grill makes cookouts easy, and the spacious backyard provides plenty of room for sports and leisure activities.

This beautiful property was perfect for our daughter's wedding weekend. Plenty of room for our whole family and the ideal backdrop for getting ready with the bridesmaids on the wedding day morning. The property is beautifully designed--from the spacious bedrooms, bathrooms, and high-end kitchen and family rooms, it is perfect inside and out!

I couldn’t rate this place higher! Teresa was very responsive and helpful when I looked for accommodations for Labor Day weekend over a year ago! She helped me find the right place for the amount of girls I was hosting. When we got to the rental it was spotless, clean and looked brand new! Such a beautiful rental with the comfiest feel. This is a 3 building compound that was perfect for our three generation family. A huge back yard offered the kids a place to run around and play games during those times we were not at the beach. Teresa, the host, was always available to answer our questions. The property is in a rural part of Rhode Island but just a few minutes from Newport. The closest beach "Peabody" and "3rd" are perfect for families with small kids. They are really one beach and the parking for visitors is at Peabody. It is just a little over a mile from the house. Parking is $30 during the week and $45 on the weekends during the summer. On only one day did we have difficulty getting a place. Second Beach is just a little farther away. It is much larger. Both beaches have nice soft sand to set up on, but as is true with almost, all New England beaches, there are lots of shells etc as you get to the water. Bring water shoes and you will have a great time. Both beaches have small snack bars. There is much to do in the area and we had no problem keeping everyone occupied even when the weather made the beach less than desirable. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and will hopefully be returning next year.

We loved this property so much. It gave us enough space to spread out, and the barn was large enough for everyone to gather, eat, and hang out together. The backyard is beautiful and I love the privacy the mature landscaping gives you. Nice design details throughout all 3 units and perfect for parking up to 6 vehicles on the 2 driveways.

Our initial impression of this property was amazing and the accommodations were perfect for our family. However after staying there for a couple days, we found several issues that should have been taken care of before our arrival. We had very little water pressure and thought it was because of the 3 buildings it had to service. In hind site, we should have called Theresa sooner, instead we went the majority of our stay with no water pressure. When we finally couldn’t take it any longer, we contacted Theresa only to find out the water pump had been turned off. We don’t like to complain but this is something that should have been checked prior to our arrival. When staying at a property of this caliber, we wouldn’t expect something like this to go unnoticed. We also had to buy a coffee pot. There are Keurig’s in each unit, so bring pods with you, or if you have a large group, like ours, there is now a working coffee pot. There was a strong sewer gas odor in the two smaller units, not sure if this was because of the inoperable water pump or if there is something else going on. Overall, we had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter’s wedding and didn’t let these issues ruin our special week. Theresa was very responsive and the grounds and furnishings were beautiful! We would highly recommend this property for any large group and we would definitely consider staying here again .

We took a big girls trip to Newport and everybody was SO excited about this lovely house. Both the interior and exterior were spotless and well cared for, the overall decor and amenities were amazing, and the large amount of space gave everyone plenty of comfort throughout the day and nighttime. Location was also phenomenal - just a quick 10/15 min drive to Thames st. as well as the vineyards. Teresa was so wonderful to communicate with prior to our booking and made our trip better than we ever imagined. I couldn't recommend staying at this gorgeous compound more if you're a large group and/or family. We will be back!!

We loved our stay at Whitecaps! The house and property are the perfect set up for large groups. Beds were super comfortable, rooms and gathering spaces were spacious. There are many outdoor toys to be enjoyed too. Close to Newport and just a short walk to the beaches. We would definitely stay here again- it was perfect!

Such a wonderful house! Our wedding group stayed here and had a fantastic time. Whitecaps is well-appointed and the layout is such that everyone really had their own private space. We really enjoyed the main living area, plenty of space for communal meals and great kitchens for cooking. The backyard is fantastic for a game of cornhole and the rooftop pool table was a hit. Close to the water, dining options, bars, bakeries, Newport, and beyond. Overall, a perfect spot for a large group!

Beautiful home to host the bridesmaids for our daughters wedding.it was spacious enough that all felt comfortable. The outdoor area was great little kids could run > lighting was fabulous for hair stylists and makeup artist to work their magic. We did use park down the street day of wedding for overflow cars when stylist came. My only suggestion is too bring a few towels we weren’t there long enough to do laundry & we’re too busy to do so anyway. But needed a few extra bath towels. It was an amazing place to host an event of this kind. Pure relaxation.

Whitecaps was a wonderful place for our Thanksgiving holiday. There was plenty of room for family meals and game nights in the "barn" and yet nice places to escape if anyone wanted their privacy and some quiet time. Each of the houses was super clean and very nicely decorated. We lucked out on the weather and enjoyed a corn hole tournament in the spacious backyard. A great getaway!

We stayed at this property for a long weekend to celebrate our son's wedding in Newport, RI. The property was beautiful! It looked exactly as shown in the photographs. The design and decor was outstanding! Having 3 separate units on 1 property worked out so well for our family. The barn structure, with it's Soho chic decor and large living area, was the perfect gathering spot for all of us. This property was very convenient to the activities we had in Newport. The owner, Teresa, was so responsive! Her proactive communication, as well as her quick reply to any questions, was much appreciated! We would definitely recommend this property with confidence that anyone staying there will have a delightful stay and wish they could stay longer!
