It was near where we needed to go.
Almost nothing was as advertised. The Villa we booked doesn’t exist, the pool was not private, there are quiet hours and there is apparently a karaoke and outdoor bar as part of the complex that resulted in inebriated, multilingual music stylings into the wee hours. The rooms were not well cleaned, with substantial amounts of visible debris and hair in the showers, etc. In fact, it looked like we were placed in an apartment that was currently used for inventory, as the oversized dining table was completely covered in enough flatware and dishes to cater a small event. This was an uncomfortable stay and frustrating in that the playground and pool we hoped would give our children positive energy outlets weren’t actually options. The play set and swings haven’t been maintained or cleaned, so only the swings are functional but so caked in excrement that it would take a good thirty minutes of scraping and scrubbing at this point to get them usable. There was a shared facility pool with adults enjoying their beverages and loud music - not the private yard with pool and stand alone Villa we booked. We were told that was being cleaned and they were “upgrading” us at no extra cost and put us in a fourplex. We were staying here after crossing the border from Nicaragua, after completing a month long drive from California. It was meant to be a respite for the family before we traveled the remaining miles to our long term rental and it was just depressing.

Room was clean and adequate.
I would have given this a higher rating, but upon checking out, we had to wait for staff to check the room. I guess they were making sure we didn't make off with a jar of peanuts or something. The exit staff was not pleasant.

Authentic Costa Rica experience
Very little English spoken by staff but we got by

Room was not as show in the photos but still okay for a couple, there were a lot of noise since rooms don’t have noise cancellation.

It was nice
I didn't like that the clean staff didn't change the towels of the rooms.

Check in staff was phenomenal. Make sure to have WhatsApp downloaded as they will send you hotel info via WhatsApp. Room very clean, bed was comfortable, good wifi connection. Parking was limited but the guard helped me get a spot. I did not use spa or pool facilities. It's about 12 minutes drive to the downtown Coco but very quiet.
Breakfast - very disappointing. Gallo pinto, eggs, white toast, cheese, sliced ham and very sugary fruit juice. I've lived here a long time and this is the first place ever that has not had any fresh fruit or tortillas.

The room was alright and clean.
Staff wasn’t very helpful : very slow at breakfast plus we asked the receptionist to book a taxi for us, which she said she would do, but never did, so we had to ask again at the time we were supposed to leave.

It has nice pools
The bedroom was too small and without a window. It feels like inside a small box.
Poor customer service.
The restaurant has good food, small portions but tasty.
The servers need to improve customer service skills.
The property grounds need some maintenance it’s outdated.

The room was very comfortable and clean. I loved having a steady stream of hot water which is not always the case in Costa Rica.
We needed to have a car to get into the centre of town.

Staff is not very welcoming
Breakfast is greasy and restaurant is noisy just next to the road
