Sjarmerende gammelt hus, stilig oppusset og godt vedlikeholdt, moderne fasiliteter. Godt utstyrt. Gode senger.
Litt bilstøy på soverommene mot veien. Manglet dusjsåpe (en bagatell). Ta med strømadapter!

Lovely 300 year old grade II listed cottage with quirky period features. Very well equipped and presented. Close to great pubs.
Close to busy / noisey road.

great location and stunning home
the only thing was we run out of logs for the fire and couldn’t find any more but everything else was perfect

location
leaking roof constantly dripping meant wet floor ,3 wine glasses for a party of 6 and other crockery not provided in multiples of 6 showed lack of attention for what was an expensive 3 night stay .

Wonderful period property , that has been tastefully updated , providing luxurious accommodation at the heart of a stunning , vibrant Cotswold town.
A slight confusion over the recycling / general waste bin.

Location was convenient for Burford; however, with windows open (necessary as no fans were supplied at the property) it is very noisy as it fronts the VERY busy main road. Friday night and Saturday night revellers also a problem as they walk right under your bedroom window. A real issue for light sleepers.
Facilities at this price point were very poor. Showers were weak and the master shower had no temperature control so we were stuck with a dangerously hot shower. The shower in the second bedroom was, frankly, pathetic. Noise: with windows open (necessary as no fans were supplied at the property) it is very noisy as it fronts the VERY busy main road. Friday night and Saturday night revellers also a problem as they walk right under your bedroom window. A real issue for light sleepers. The 'welcome pack' is a cake from the bakers over the road.
All-in-all, consistent with the generally appalling standards of UK accommodation: done on the cheap to make a buck.

The fact that the previous tenants had left a problem was very poorly dealt with by Sykes/Marton cottages.
The initial call took ages to get through
The local agent was absolutely terrible with no empathy to the situation that the en-suite was full of excrement and overflowing in a cottage which we had paid top price for.
Her response created my frustration and she accused me of shouting and said she would cancel the plumber! (Oh yes, great idea - that’s gonna work I’m sure - NOT)
She needs retraining if she continues to work in a public facing role
Her superior was a different level, understanding and giving a personnel service to ensure that the blockage issue was resolved
The cottage, it must be said, was lovely, all the local pubs (there are 11 apparently) were great and MrsBumble in the shop opposite was world class in service and produce (and so was the butchers up the road and the bread shop)

This was a gorgeous cottage in the country town of Burford. Very nicely decorated. The courtyard garden was a lovely private space to sit. Step out of the front door to all the facilities. Easy parking. The welcome pack which included a delicious Victoria sponge was very well received. We crossed the road to buy more to munch on…The breakfast bar in the kitchen was a great place to catch up on emails whilst enjoying a cuppa. Lots of nice touches.
Nothing. We really liked this cottage and the vibe.

Characterful, nice kitchen and bathrooms, clean, cosy, well thought out. Very tasteful and lots of personality. We would definitely stay again if only 4 adults but not with 6 adults.
The two single beds were quite uncomfortable with a hard edge which we kept hitting in the night. Maybe not suitable for adults.
The fridge door does not shut properly and just needs adjusting.
The coffee table is rather wobbly and didn’t seem very secure with its slab of marble.

The living room set up and design
There was not soap/bubble bath to shower with

Everything required was there, clean, new and all recently renovated plus parking was outside property.
Minor fault was the fact the main outside refuse bin was full shame previous occupant was not more considerate because it was faultless otherwise quaint and our granddaughter really loved it to
