Lovely period hotel in the centre of town. Great bar area and restaurant with good food.
Very individual rooms thoughtfully presented.
Parking in Rye is an issue and non at the hotel although within a 5 minute walk. High st facing rooms are noisy until the bars shut and the age of the hotel means that you will hear other residents in the evening and morning. Air con in the rooms would be a welcome addition.

Beautiful building in a wonderful position.
Comfortable and clean room. Quiet.
Food was really nice.
Some things felt slightly over priced. So could have been better value for money.

Beautiful property, beautiful room. Clean enough.
Not much attention to diet’s restrictions or intolerance. There should be more options and concern. For an inn of this rank/price, and comparing to others in the same stars rating, this aspect was not satisfactory.
Even though I am conscious it was a busy bank holiday period, it seems staff couldn’t handle properly the number of guests/customers both during breakfast and dinner.

Too many emails re a booking for one night. 14 in total! For a relaxing break repeated messages not necessary. Was this down to the hotel or Booking.com?

Very noisy bedroom and cleaners woke us up at 7am complaining and smoking outside of our room. I emailed reception at the time to ask them to go elsewhere but I never received a response.

lovely room, really comfy & great bathroom. amazing food in the restaurant
it was a bit noisy, I think because we were on a street - facing room but also you could hear people walking around above. other than that it was lovely though!

Gorgeous room and good customer service
Hearing the extractor (possibly from the kitchen). It was quite loud in the room and kept my husband awake

Room was lovely, clean with nice facilities and a copper bath - lovely.
Restaurant was great - good breakfast and coffee - lovely staff throughout hotel.
The room was above the courtyard which we weren’t aware of - so was noisy at times and very hot bit because of the courtyard we couldn’t open the window.

There wasn't much variety with the continental breakfast, no cold meats or cheese etc very few options for cereal.
