Neighborhood overview:
We love the historic feel and the charm that Old Town delivers. It's always enjoyable to slow down and spend time strolling through the square and the numerous shops and restaurants available. We feel perfectly safe walking around Old Town both day and night, just sticking to the immediate blocks around the plaza, and around Rio Grande Blvd. Going from Central towards Downtown does have some isolated stretches so it is recommended to use common safety sense as you would in any big city.
Location is perfect for walking to Old town and surrounding restaurants. Walk score of 84 out of 100. This location is Very Walkable so most errands can be accomplished on foot.
Bike score of 87 (very bikeable, flat as a pancake, good bike lanes). There is a bike rental shop within walking distance as well.
Uber, Lyft and Taxi's are always available.
There is a bus system, check the city website for routes & times
Distance to:
Airport: 9 miles
Balloon Fiesta Part: 12 miles (we recommend park-n-ride)
Hotel Albuquerque: 4min walk
UNM: 3.5 miles
Old Town: 2 min walk
Fairgrounds: 8 miles
Convention Center: 2 miles
Other things to note:
Old building - although this apartment has been remodeled there are many quirks that come along with trying to preserve a historic building. For example, most of the brick flooring is original but you will see in places that the owners had to replace with newer bricks.
Camera installed outside (this is the only camera) - we use this to monitor guest count and for security purposes.
Large Garbage container located behind the complex
Possibility for noise - apartments are part of an 8plex. This apartment is on the bottom floor with another apartment above. Typical neighbor noise is expected as with any apartment living.
Low Flow Toilets - do not flush anything other than small amounts of toilet paper
Air conditioner - please do not run temp lower than 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The compressor can easily freeze causing damage or HOT air to blow in.
The complex is regularly treated with non-toxic pest repellent. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Pests are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to stay on top of pest control and keep the apartments spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug. Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking.
Parking space is available as directed in the check-in guide. We are not responsible for tickets issued, cars towed/booted or any damage to guest’s vehicles while at the parking lot whether from casualty or negligent or intentional wrongful acts of other guests or third parties. Guest waives any and all claims, damages, and/or causes of action for personal injury or property damage against us (the host) and the parking company for use of the parking lot. We are not responsible for any articles left in vehicles.

Great stay. Second time staying here. Great accommodation and location

Great location close to Old Town. Super roomy and clean. Parking is a little tight and if you are downstairs, you can hear a lot of walking around from upstairs neighbors. But totally worth the price.

The price for 2 bed and 2 to bath was great. Exceeded expectations. It's an older building with brick floors . A central patio was dark, but perfect for 100+ weather. Bath and kitchen and laundry were nice and up to date.
Great location to stroll Old Town and leave your car at home.

The location is great because it is right across the street from Old Town Albuquerque. The issues my sister and I had follow. The issues we had were the cleanliness of the shower located in bedroom on the left. The tiles of the back of the shower and the small lower right hand shelf of the bathtub had residue and spots that look light purple in color. We cleaned up the front of the shower but left the back so the owner or the cleaning crew could see it. We did take photos of it if you would like to see them. It can't be any of the shower or shampoo gel from the dispenser as it was not dripping and not the same color as the shower products. Also we washed our own dishes and put them away. When we arrived the dishwasher had dishware in it. The dishwasher still has dishware in it (although they appear clean). We didn't want to move the dishware from the dishwasher. My niece and great niece couldn't stay with us overnight because of the temperature restriction of the cooling unit (it can't be lowered below 70 degrees) during the warmer days so they stayed at the Double Tree Hotel. My niece has a congenital heart condition and with the higher elevation needed a cooler temperature. It would have been helpful to know about the the temperature restriction prior to us renting. Just to note the bed in the other bedroom is higher of the ground than a regular bed. So anyone one in height 5'3'' or shorter so it would be beneficial to have a step stool to get onto the bed.

Nice property with open design and bedrooms and bathrooms on either end. Easy in and out. Nice, close parking spots. Well- stocked kitchen with teapot, coffee pot, spices, cold water and mints. Beds were firm with 4 pillows each. Very clean!
Clever sports theme decor with tennis, golf, and bikes!🎾⛳🚲We just stayed one night, a stop over on our way to Sedona, so we didn't get to enjoy what Albuquerque had to offer. We would stay again!

Thank you to the owner of this property. We had another property booked and they canceled 1 day before our trip so we had to reschedule in a hurry. We were not in this property very much but it was comfortable and clean and well worth the price!

Excellent location with walkable sights nearby. Comfortable and spacious for our needs! I would look to stay here again when I come to the area.

The condo was as it was advertised: very clean, all amenities that we needed, great location, and close to the marathon start/finish lines. We liked that it was on the 1st floor. However, whoever was staying above us was very loud! We could hear them talking and pacing/stomping back and forth, well after midnight when we were trying to sleep.

If you're heading to Albuquerque on vacation, this is a great choice. It was everything we needed in a home base - close to sights and stocked with all the necessities. We had an older family member with us, and the property was easy for her to get in and out of.

Very clean and professional communication. Only one call out was the noise from upstairs that woke us up at 1 am. Other than that everything from check in to departure was great.

The property was centrally located. We stayed downstairs in Unit 2, the tenants upstairs were very noise which made it very difficult to sleep. During our stay we were not provided enough paper goods such as toilet paper, paper towels, and regular sized napkins.

Cute 2 bed room apartment. We walked to Old Town shops. Kitchen had everything we needed. Court yard was a pleasant place to sit and relax. Only negative was the noise created by the people on 2nd floor. Very loud as we could hear every step they took. Unit was reasonably priced. Owner responsive.

Truly enjoyed this apartment. Very cute with 2 BR’s. Honestly, one of the only places I can remember where we wished we could have stayed longer - very much based on the apartment! Brick flooring, 2 rooms, washer/dryer! And they had NM piñon coffee! All made for a very nice stay.

We enjoyed Albuquerque a lot. The history of the area was fascinating. The apartment was near Old Town with great art galleries, food options, and, of course, many fun tourist tchotchkes. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

I wish we could of stayed longer! We were passing through for work. This home covered all our needs. The host kept in touch with us and made sure our stay was going well! We even had a great parking spot for our truck and trailer. We ate at Monica’s for lunch. It’s within walking distance. Highly recommend! Thanks again for sharing your home with us!

A co-worker and I had two days of training classes in Albuquerque, and we were both so happy to have found this gem! We loved staying there, it felt like home. The parking lot was very spacious, and the apartment had a really large kitchen and super comfortable beds, two rooms and two bathrooms which was perfect for us! The decor was fun and eclectic, the floors are amazing red brick! It was extremely clean and furnished perfectly! It was quiet, and we felt very safe! We will be back to stay for our next trainings!
Thank you Taryn!
