What an amazing find!

What an amazing gem! I booked this a few days before visiting friends in the area and thought that the prices would be high because of the last minute nature of my booking. Not at all! Not only was I around the corner from friends, to my happy surprise the property was hidden in plain sight–tucked into the middle of a neighborhood block I never would know it was there. This placement just adds to the charm. There are many rooms available yet it doesn't feel crowded. Passcode entry makes for even more of a sense of security. The sitting rooms and outdoor porch area are decorated to facilitate a cool and relaxing atmosphere, an oasis in the city. Impeccably clean, with just the right amount of decor in the room to be comfortable. Erick's hospitality was attentive yet not intrusive. I appreciated the Coivid policy, which added to my sense of comfort. I can't wait to make a trip back and stay even longer to enjoy it even more! Other guests were respectful of the early morning rising and kept conversations low. Love the self-sufficient well-stocked kitchen that all guests can access. Within walking distance of so many shops and restaurants, parks, and more. Simply delightful.

I have nothing to add for improvement. So well thought-out, the space is inviting, and the decor facilitates that so beautifully. The added touch of cotton bathrobes and Aveda products? Icing on the cake. I'm sure there are more small and delightful touches I might overlooked only because I was there for one night. Hospitality is an art, and this place epitomizes that art form. Being in the house makes you feel welcomed and cared for. It was only a night, but I feel like I just got back from a week's vacation.

we loved the location. so close to the lake walk and lovely neighborhoods. the house was tastefully decorated. felt very euro. we loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Overall, area was great and stay was good.

Loved the patio area.

The bathroom for our room was separate from the room. The shower temper valve needs replace. water pressure was low and when hot water was turned all the way on, there was no pressure.

Lovely host, bed, setting. Easy access to train. Google nap not accurate but NOT host fault. ))

Great spread, many options, lovely outdoor seating.

Not complaining but no AC.. and front room, lovely as is was a bit noisy due to school across the way. WE WILL BE BACK. GREAT HOST, GREAT LOCATION. will ask for room away from front but will be back. Really no complai to, 2 blocks to train, easy parking, lovely setting

Cheated out of $32. We will not return.

Great pasteries, nice variety for a continental breakfast.

I have stayed at many booking.com locations, with excellent results. This is the first time for me in using Booking.com that a deposit has been drawn by the proprietor in addition to the cost of the room. The reservation was uncancelable and I noticed the draw right after I made the reservation. The deposit drawn was $182 in addition to the price of the room plus other costs like taxes. The Booking.com information stated that the deposit would be returned upon completion of our stay. 9 days after we completed our stay and checked out, $150 of our deposit was returned. I have gone back and forth with the proprietor and he refuses to return the remaining $32. I wanted to get this straightened out prior to submitting my review but he refuses to do so. I am done with House 5863 and will not further pursue return of my $32. I am a "Genius Level 2" user of Booking.com and this is the first time I have given an establishment a bad review.

Staff was very uncooperative. Don’t expect to stay here and don’t expect to get your money back either. All things in consideration, my experience was terrible and I regret my decision.
