Gonna keep this review short, simple, & sweet so without further ado….. et’s get into my review!:
Pros:
- Near many fast food & regular food restaurants (there's even one downstairs!)
- Easily accessible from the airport by train, bus , &/or Uber
- Very kind Staff
- The walk-in shower had see through glass (also had curtains for privacy) looked beautiful & the water pressure felt amazing! No complaints about the hot water either! It was steaming!!!
- Perfect views, price, & room size for a quick weekend trip for friends, family, or even a romantic getaway!
- Spacious Gym as well. I worked out the morning before I left & it was peaceful with just me in there.
Cons:
- The lighting in the rooms were a bit too dim. Yes, there were lamps but still too dark in the rooms.
What to expect:
- A Fridge with refreshments inside (but of course if you touch it, you pay for it!)
- There's no microwave in the rooms to reheat food & the restaurant below doesn't allow reheating outside food either.

Arrived at hotel found a parking garage a few blocks away. Walked in there is a restaurant on ground floor and you take elevator or stairs up one level for lobby of hotel to check in. Instead of standing counter the staff sit at low desk. After checkin we went to room. It was nice with a nice view. As others have mentioned it is a bit odd in this country to have a glass wall to bathroom with a curtain that when open gives a view of the shower and bathroom to the main room. It was just me and my wife so it was not a big deal

Great location and friendly staff. Clean room and overall.
Really odd bathroom with a glass wall and a curtain.

The property only gives a high end appearance without the staff or services needed to achieve this status.

Great stay right in the heart of the city.

The room quality was average. We view through the from the bed, into the shower, then the toilet was not a good thing. The bathroom door would not close all or the way nor would it stay closed. The room also seems under-lit and the temp control was not great as the room always seemed warm. We were all very surprised that during check-in, we had to sign a waver and put down a $100 deposit to show that we would not have a party in the room...very odd. On the positive side, Brunch was great and the hotel location was perfect. Close to everything and easy to walk to most places.

This place was clean, modern, and close to everything I wanted to do

So the room was nice. I was not aware it was a “couples reconnecting” hotel. The curtain that covers the glass separating the shower to the bedroom was just odd. It wasn’t a room darkening curtain so if I had the light on and my husband was sleeping, it would wake him. Also, does he really need to see me showering or using the bathroom??? Not really sexy. Esp. the bathroom part. Staff were all very nice. If it wasn’t for the odd curtain, I would probably go back…..

This is the hotel I always stay at when I go to Chicago! I ball on a budget lol so I always book a single bed room to share with my sister because it's relatively cheaper. Each time I've booked, they've always upgraded our room to two beds for free. Front desk is always friendly and accommodating, rooms are always clean. Hotel is near Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, etc. Tons of food options nearby. Can't recommend this place enough!

I Didn't like stay, no microwave, no mini freezer on refrigerator for ice cream. Refrigerator full of Hotel items no room for my stuff, Brought my own snacks Hotel price too high. Room was discounted not worth full price. If I book for full price I would have been very disappointed. At least put microwave on every floor at end of hallway or one in each room. I am use to better service than this. If balcony could be included for sightseeing that would be great.
Keep huge discount that's the only way I will and many others will return. Not worth full price!

I was in Chicago for the marathon and this hotel proved an excellent base with close proximity to the start and finish of the race.
Room was great and bed extremely comfortable

Very clean and quiet

The location was awesome, the hotel was very new and clean, the bathroom tile was a trip hazard and not suitable for people that are disabled, which is me, closet door was super heavy, but very comfortable room

The staff was very thin patience from the moment we called to confirm booking. We were told we could check in at a time as we traveled 16+ hours. Arrived and was rudely told to please leave until we could check in. Even though we called 4 times in advanced. We paid for a king and was offered 2 double beds. This was a very intense stay as the lady at the front and answering phones was extremely rude and even rolled her eyes at us!!! Would never stay at this facility again and will be leaving google review. This was probably the worst experience ever!

Love this place and stay here every time I'm in Chicago.

This hotel should not be considered a 4 star hotel, the status ends in the lobby. The room that we stayed in needed a big update. The light switches were yellow and cracked, the sink faucet required significant pull to turn on, the bed headboard had cracks and damage, the wall near the windows has wall paper bulging and as some have stated in the comments I'll reiterate: The room has a transparent glass that looks into the shower and bathroom which is only covered by a curtain. Likewise, bathroom door and closet share the same door that's on a rail which if isn't closed properly rolls in the opposite direction another reason that adds on to the lack of privacy. Air-conditioning was really loud almost sounds like someone is flushing the toilet when it would come on or go off woke up a few times startled by the noise. Refrigerator is filled with items that can be purchased during the stay which makes it unusable during the stay. Refrigerator was also loud when it would cycle on. There is no sound dampening, you can hear people from the room next door and everything that's happening on the street (we were on the 13th floor). If you are staying here bring your own shampoo and soap the one provided by the hotel was not adequate. The restaurant downstairs is not affiliated with the hotel they simply lease the space. The hotel is fairly close to the Grand redline station. There are other hotels like Embassy Suites that are a little closer to other key areas and the L station.

The room was super clean, the location is great in the middle of everything, and the staff were friendly.
I personally wouldn't recommend the hotel for non-business trips, the room was quite small and dark (e.g. there isn't much room around the bed and the ceilings are bare concrete) so it wasn't somewhere we wanted to spend much time in.

Stay was fine, the bed was not very comfortable, definitely had a sag to the middle

Friendly staff, good location but noisy, traffic noise and noisy ventilation system that flanged horribly.

You should note that there are no parking options other than valet at $64; per day. I spent most of my spending money on parking.

The property the AC would go on and off leaving you hot & uncomfortable in the middle of the night. I woke up every morning stuffy noise....But my biggest issue with this property tho....Is If i would have know better i wouldn't have picked the downtown area. I Never been to Chicago before....But it was so noisy my husband and i couldn't sleep. It sounded like everything going on outside was inside of our hotel room. The cops & ambulance sounds are continuous sounded like every 10 to 15 mins. Ppl talking loud on the street, fights on the street. Yep Its just not a place i would ever come back too. I travel alot & it was the worse vacation stay i have ever been at for the weekend. The property is nice don't get me wrong and the veiw was amazing.... but all the noise i can't not deal with. Now on to the actual room itself. The open concept for the shower. Hummmm....!!
Its open so while you are showering you are also cold cause everything/air is coming into the shower its a NO for me. Hey some may like that !!
But its my review of what i liked and didnt like.... So this is my take on the hotel in itself.
