Beautiful hotel in a perfect position in the city centre. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast.
Ate in the restaurant too and the meal was excellent.
Will definitely stay again .

Very well positioned hotel right near the cathedral with a good restaurant and traditional bar onsite.

When we arrived we were told we'd been upgraded to a suite, which was a lovely surprise (The Sefton, room 5). What a gorgeous room! Charming character with views to the cathedral. Room was large with plenty of storage.
Downsides were spiral staircase and room was very warm, so wouldn't recommend for a summer stay! We had to have the windows open, which then meant you got all the traffic noise and people leaving clubs and pubs. There is no aircon.
The bed was super comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Back again, always use ths hotel when we visit Norwich for gigs & shows, never fails

Came back at 10.50. We had one drink which we sat in the lounge area all rather lonely, so decided to pop next door to another establishment for a bit more cheer

Lovely historic hotel in a great location near the cathedral and near the city centre and shops . The food was great and the staff were very helpful. Our only criticism is that the car charger was like a three pin plug and therefore it was only useful for a 40/50 mile top up at night . Overall we had a great time and were pleased we chose the hotel .

Lovely staff, professional & extremely helpful going the extra mile, location was great as was the hotel overall.
Lots of lounge areas and lovely food.
The only 2 thing's I’d score down on were the hospitality knocking twice from 10 am until 11.30 both days, even though we had do not disturb on the door and requested a mid day checkout.
I realise the building is very old but the smell of sewer was evident in every part of the building especially the toilets, & even in the restaurant. There was actually water running down the wall where we were sitting which we bought to the staffs attention and there was a maintenance man there within 10 minutes.
Despite this I would book again if I visit Norwich.

Absolutely perfect location right by the cathedral and a short walk to sites and restaurants all around Norwich. The Maids Head is a very classy, old school hotel that is clearly proud of its history and tradition.

Hotel was lovely staff very friendly bed was comfy but the pillows OMG like dogs ears literally no neck support whatsoever next time I’m bringing my own!

A very quiet relaxing and well appointed hotel in an excellent location.

It was an amazing stay such a beautiful place we wanted to upgrade our room we had booked a standard double but they were understandably fully booked but when we see our room we’re very pleasantly surprised it was stunning far from standard I definitely recommend this wonderful hotel

Had a really wonderful stay the staff were really friendly. Had a birthday dinner and stay and they put some candles on my cake and one of the staff even participated in singing me a happy birthday song. Really lovely experience. And the place is beautiful.

Great location. We’ve stayed here before and a nice old feel to this popular wedding venue. The only niggle is the bar is small, nice & cosy but the poor staff have to go into restaurant for bottles of certain wines ice buckets or glasses. This then takes time & a long wait just to get a drink.
2.5
Helpful staff who all seemed pleased to help. Also good that there were lots of staff around so no waits. Location close to cathedral and city centre with on site parking worked well. The room was a good size and immaculate. Breakfast options were great with a range of made to order choices.

Perfect venue for my needs. Was very busy .. they had a couple of weddings there the day I stayed I think, so was a bit noisy until beyond midnight, but room was comfort had everything I needed. The place is a bit of a warren but that’s more about its age and character. Great breakfast.

The history of the property and its quietness and closeness to the train station were factors. We were happy with the accommodation as well as the speed of room service.

We stopped in Norwich whilst cycling the Rebellion Way. The hotel location is very convenient and they happily let us store our bikes in a conference room. Fantastic room with huge bathroom.

Overall our stay was lovely, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower was very good. The only disappointment was the fridge didn't work. We psin extra to upgrade our room as it was our anniversary but when we got our champagne out of the fridge it was very warm so this was a little disappointing

Nice hotel, I did ask the lady at check in to arrange an extra pillow for me which she didn’t do. This is why I have given a 4,
A wedding was on at the same time so quite noisy at times and lots of stairs. My friend has a disability so she struggled with this and we did make the hotel aware she was disabled at check in as she needed a disabled car space.

We found the maids head hotel to be an excellent property. All of the staff were very helpful and courteous. The full English breakfast buffet was also excellent with an assortment of traditional British fair and lots of fruit and other options. It is conveniently located next to the Norwich Cathedral For those who want to pop in for EvenSong.

It was lovely. Such a beautiful hotel and so convenient with its location to the cathedral and the city centre

The Maids Head is perfectly located right by the cathedral, restaurants and pretty shopping streets of Norwich. Rooms were attractive, comfortable and clean. The lobby and ground floor sofa seating area is beautifully appointed. The bar, when we found it, was a bit unexpected - old fashioned pub style.

Superb central location, very close to the cathedral and also an easy walk to the centre of the city. Reception and housekeeping staff were helpful. Parts of the hotel are admittedly a little tired, and need upgrading. Also, some better signage around the hotel would be helpful (it's quite a maze). But a pleasant stay, and we would return on our next stay in Norwich.

Lovely old hotel. We had a room in the 'new' part which was well outfitted and had the benefit of very good air-conditioning (it was 30 deg when we stayed).
Hotel is conveniently located near cathedral and shopping areas. We will stay again.

Great little hotel with bucket loads of history, good price and with the added rarity of a city-centre hotel with parking. Breakfast was also excellent. We will definitely return for future Norwich shopping trips!

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay in August for our wedding anniversary. The room was pleasant and comfortable with an excellent shower. A family member had arranged for us to have afternoon tea with Prosecco. It was delicious and taken in the restaurant. We also made use of the complimentary Bentley drive on the Sunday morning. Nigel took us on tour of the city and outskirts. Breakfast buffet was excellent and there was lots of choice. Hotel is next door to cathedral and is a great base for exploring Norwich. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed her in February and the room then was a lot better than the one we were in this time .To me the room felt and smell a bit damp. Also l really struggled with the shower when l put it on it was on the bath setting and l couldn’t move it to the shower and l had to get my husband to turn it off . The staff were very helpful and friendly and we will come back .

Lovely building and well placed in the town centre . Noticed stairs were dirty in places and cutlery not clean. Other than that the rooms were comfortable and nice . The noise was mainly from
The neighbouring pubs . All in all a pleasant stay

Beautiful old building, stunningly restored. Rooms are excellent with good facilities. Breakfast is fantastic, with good selection of hot and continental options.

Lovely property with a great heritage. Restaurant was a bit pricey and the quality was variable on the night we ate in. Loads of great eateries with minutes from the hotel so it was not a problem.
Very friendly staff, would certainly stay there again.

Booked months ahead for 3 nights in Executive room in historic hotel. The room had no character, & no outlook as base of window was at chin height, and on tiptoe gave view of carpark. Room size and bathroom good but not noteworthy. Disappointing.
