I have a double charge on my charge card for my vehicle parking for one night. I was told it would take a few days to correct this. My charge for the room went through the system within minutes and I am told it would take a few days to correct a charge.

We had a great stay. Staff were friendly and rooms were comfortable!

Charming old hotel in the French quarter. Nicely redone bath and comfortable linens and such. Exceptionally clean. Bed was dipped a bit in the center but overall prettt comfortable. Service just ok. Well located place to stay close to everything but not in the middle of the highest noise areas.

Lovely people, lovely hotel. Best in NOLA

Business trip to attend a conference in New Orleans. The staff here are very friendly and informative. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My only reasons for not having this a 5-star is that I paid almost $400 per night and the breakfast offerings were only coffee. Doesn’t quite seem worth it!

this is definitely what I would consider a luxury hotel. the room was absolutely gorgeous, bed was very comfortable. & was so clean, and we were so impressed. staff was so very friendly and helpful. parking and check in / check out was a breeze. location was perfect and hotel was very quiet. they had a crib available for our daughter and brought it right to our room. will def stay again!

I was disappointed. Based on previous reviews I thought I would really enjoy this hotel. I love historic buildings and the room was a nice size but the service was not good. The pool was brown. Our room was never vacuumed. The lobby was small and very lightly decorated. I've stayed other hotels in the French Quarter that keep their lobbies decorated beautifully, especially during the holidays. This hotel had one tree - which was pretty but that's all. The restaurant was never open when we wanted to go. The front desk staff seemed to not care if we enjoyed our stay or not. Unlike other hotels in this area where the hospitality is through the roof.

Our stay was wounderful. The only thing that would make it better is if their black out curtains blacked out a little better. But nothing to make our stay to uncomfortable. For those wondering, yes the hotel is older but so are most original buildings in New Orleans. If you want an authentic stay then this place is perfect. Our king room was huge and the walk in shower was beautiful. The water gets hot! So be careful there. The parking is not on site but at a neighbor hotel that you can see from the street and it is secure parking. The valet parking is $44+ according to when you stay and what is happening in town. It has a restaurant and bar beside the lobby. This did not disturb our stay. The restraunts around are awsome. Everything is with in walking distance or you can take the trolly. The staff was great and very welcoming every time we left or entered they greated us. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is lovely. There's always complimentary eater available, as well as cookies and lemonade from 3-5PM. The courtyard was lovely and rather peaceful, except when the riverboat plays its boarding tune, at which time the sound fills the space. Our room was comfortable and pretty quiet facing away from the river. Most of the staff was sweet, conversational, and accommodating, but there was one less than friendly attendant our last full day there. We'd told her that we slept in and therefore needed housekeeping to attend our room (because they hadn't by time we'd returned from an excursion) and she grilled us about have the privacy sign on the door and acted like it was a bother to contact them. They still hadn't cleaned the room when we came back the second time, so we had to ask the front desk for towels. Fortunately, there was a different more accommodating attendant. Their cleaning staff doesn't seem to keep track of which rooms to go back to and who is checking out, because they were also pretty aggressive trying to get in on our last day at about 10AM when the privacy sign WAS on the door and checkout wasn't until 12PM. Otherwise, we definitely liked the place.

Checked in ac did not work, told them at 6pm it wasn’t working and they said they would send someone to fix it, went out to eat came in at 10 pm and still wasn’t working, called them asked to be moved, they said no they couldn’t but would send someone to fix it , waited until 12 pm no one showed up 84 degrees in room , no help at the desk , said because we booked 3rd party , we would have to contact hotel.com

Excellent location, great staff especially front desk!

I have been traveling to New Orleans for over twenty years and have usually stayed at Bienville House. I havent been since before Covid. The hotel is good but in need of updating. The lobby has ceiling pieces missing. The furniture in the room was worn and dated. The mattress would roll you into the middle of the bed. There was no shower pressure at all. The staff was very kind and helpful. It’s in a great location. Unfortunately, I will not stay there again.

We were able to check in early - that was positive but the front desk person was not friendly. Then we were informed this was an interior room with no window at all. This was never disclosed prior to check in. The room was claustrophobic and there was no way to control the ac that blasted freezing cold all the time. I will never stay here again. The location is pretty good kind of a few blocks from everything. I will never stay here again-

Elevator is hot! Water pressure is terrible otherwise a nice place in a great location

Shower water pressure was okay. Our patio area and hallway are to get to our room, had little to no lighting. Overall old hotel with a spooky secrets. Staff was always very friendly. Shopping and coffee shop near by. Fire station and house of blues right across the street.

This was a good place to stay at. Their pool was small but they gave us access to another one in a different location that was bigger, and that was really good! Just make sure your sheets and pillows are completely clean they will switch them if not. A bit worn out place but the bathroom was modern. The bottom of the doors were kind of not completely reaching the floor. Seemed like cut but it wasn’t noisy luckily, here and there you could hear other rooms door slamming. Overall it was quiet and no windows in the room. Very good darkness for sleep. Staff is attentive and helpful with anything.

Very nice boutique hotel. Balcony is nice to have, but needs a small table for your beer. In warmer months you don't need a balcony. Small, peaceful pool. Restaurant & bar closed.

Room is very nice, balcony overlooking pool area is nice. The hotel is on a very busy street so there is noise! I used my ear plugs an slept great!

Right in French Quarter without the loud raucous crowd to keep you up at night. Also old world charm and access to sister property with Carousel Bar.
Would highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel, very clean and friendly staff, being on Decatur St it was noisy at night and had a squealing dog staying next to us, however the location of this property is perfect, was a little surprised at the $49 a night parking, guess I missed that fee somewhere, overall it was a good stay

First thing that started everything off bad was the fact that there were additional fees that were not listed at the time of booking. They wanted $75 per night for ''incedentials". I feel like any and all fees should be listed at time of booking so that guest can be properly prepared for their stay. Then the front desk staff was rude and stated that we could cancel the reservation and when i stated that wouldn't suffice she just walked away in the middle of me talking. It wasn't until I said something about her walking away that she wanted to get an attitude and say that she was going to get the manager to help and that was the reason she walked away but that was not stated before she walked away. The manager was helpful and polite and was able to waive the fee and stated we would only be charged after our stay if damages were found. Once we got up to our room we noticed that the AC did not work. When we informed the manager they stated they were going to call the engineer on call and gave us a box fan to use until he was supposed to arrive. The engineer never came. The next morning we asked if we could please be switched the manager stated that she had to call the engineer and he would have to attempt to fix it first before changing us. We left for a few hours when we got back the AC still did not work and we were finally changed to a new room. The new room the AC worked but we had no towels. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this hotel!

A cute budget hotel, the staff was very nice and accommodating. My only complaint is some of the amenities advertised, the gym for example, aren’t actually located on the property and are at their sister hotel about a block away which is a bit misleading. All in all though a good choice if you want to be right in the French quarter on a budget.

We originally booked this hotel when we arrived it looked a little bit dirty but i overlooked it the young lady that was working behind the desk was wonderful when we got to our room and opened the door it just smelled like mold and mildew it was so bad i went back to the front desk to let the lady no what was going on she tried her best to help with showing us other rooms but the other rooms smelled the same way it was just awful the room that i reserved didn't look nothing like i was giving i was told by the man that worked there they shampoo the carpets every time someone leaves he was very rude to me i mean come on would you want to stay in something that smells like mold and mildew and looks dirty absolutely not and to mention when i booked the room it stated yall had a complementary breakfast only to find out it is just tea and coffee me left and started walking around to find another hotel and thank the good Lord we did and it didn't disappoint us.I was so upset because and just ready to go back home you guys really should be ashamed at your hotel and again the young lady behind the desk helping us was wonderful that was the only thing good about the hotel needles to say of course me and my family will never come back there and if you guys do shampoo the carpets every time someone leaves you need to put the industrial fans in there and leave the door open to air out people our spending they hard earned money to be comfortable

Amazing staff and super helpful front desk made our weekend visit in New Orleans perfect. Hotel is beautiful with all the amenities available nearby. Loved our stay

Really liked the historic aesthetics of the building. Nice room . Only problem was the room sounds as if I was sleeping in an engine room. Not sure if it was the air unit or what but it had an impact on my sleep for sure. Beware of the $75 a day fee for incidentals and $50 for parking. Otherwise, all was enjoyable. Stayed in the superior room for a week

Stayed at the Ritz Carton for our New Orleans stay, but had to book a different hotel for our final two nights. Our stay at Bienville House was amazing. If I had it to do over, I would stay at Bienville House rather than the Ritz. The room was so sweet and had a perfect private balcony. The location is close to all things and the staff were very kind.
