An amazing property with a fantastic view. Easy to access and walking distance to Bowness and a short drive to Windermere and Ambleside. The apartment was very clean and had the amenities that you need for a pleasant stay. Great to have the view so you feel like you’re on holiday even if the weather isn’t great.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful property. The locations is ideal, peaceful and relaxing, yet just a short walk to the bustling town centre. The house is very spacious, immaculately clean and so well equipped. But it’s the stunning views that make it so special. It’s a gem. Thank you for having us!

High quality accomodation right on Lake Windermere.
A short walk from Bowness and all its amenities, 1 minute from the Ferry. Immaculate presentation, very well equipped and attention to detail.
A most welcome "Welcome Pack" accompanied by a very thoughtful birthday card and bottle of fizz. Our memorable occasion became just a little bit more memorable. Many thanks to our wonderful host Helen, who we never saw but we felt well attended to!
This property is highly recommended to any discerning travellers looking for higher end self catering accomodation in a prime location with beautiful lakeland views.

Wonderful vacation home. The boat house was totally as described and fit for our needs. Clean luxurious and meticulously maintained it was a great vacation.
The lake/marina views combined with a quiet yet very accessible location was amazing. Being able to walk to the ferry was an added bonus.

This really was the perfect place to stay on lake Windemere, with the most amazing views, and close enough to Bowness to walk in. The house was most thoughtfully planned out, and all on one level making it easy for those less mobile too. And the lovely host Helen was incredible, dealing with every request and question with a calm helpful friendly manner. A truly wonderful place to meet my Uk family and catch up while visiting from nz.

The boathouse could not have been more perfect and the views breathtaking when we walked in. The icing on the cake was our charter yacht was moored just below waiting for us. Thank you for the welcome pack, your wonderful home and the rose wine which we drank on the balcony in the sunshine, watching the world go by.

Osprey boat house is beautiful, a really lovely place to stay. We all loved the location, a short walk from Bowness, so away from the hustle and bustle of a small town, but close enough to all amenities. The view from the balcony is amazing, and we really enjoyed sitting watching the boats and the sunsets. The boat house is of a very high standard and Helen’s welcome pack on arrival was really appreciated. Helen lives close by so was on hand if we needed anything and responded quickly to any queries we had prior to our stay. The Lake District is a beautiful area to visit and the boat house is a real home from home to return to after days out exploring the local area. Definitely one we will be returning to!

The communication from Helen was brilliant, everything was clearly set out , on entry to the property it was clean, fresh and the quality of the interior furnishings and utilities were just what you would expect from a luxury rental like this. The view from the balcony is so peaceful and the sun works it’s way across all day, kayaking next door which is great fun and boat hire on the jetty’s below for sailing experiences, my parents joined us for the weekend and Helen made a special visit to drop of wine and chocolates for there anniversary, I would and have already recommended staying here and we will be back again for sure , thanks again Helen

A good experience with tremendous - but unobtrusive - support from the property manager. Very comfortable in a stunning lakeside location. The whole experience was very straightforward and greatly enjoyed.

Osprey House is a beautiful home with stunning views from the balcony over Lake Windermere. Centrally located but peaceful location - we found it an ideal base for seeing a lot of the Lake District. Helen couldn’t have been lovelier or more helpful throughout, and the welcome pack and attention to detail in the house were fantastic. We couldn’t recommend highly enough!

From the moment we arrived we were very impressed by the Osprey boathouse. It was clean, warm and very well presented. Helen had provided a substantial welcome pack and fresh flowers. Great to have a good quality coffee machine! We went out and about during the mornings, but after lunch took advantage of the balcony and great views over the lake. Ideal position for walking into Bowness and local restaurants. We do a lot of cottage holidays and Osprey has gone to the top of our list. Would definitely like to return.

We were four adults sharing for a week, with spectacular weather.
Beautifully presented, with thoughtful welcome pack. Consideration was given to our comfort in the heat of summer, with extra fans and appropriate bedding.
Level access to the whole property was great for elderly parents, with limited mobility.
Overall a very enjoyable week.

We were so lucky to have only part of one day with rain with the remainder in sunshine. It was nice to be able to revisit old haunts and see friends who live there. All in all a lovely short break

The boathouse is well equipped and well furnished with lovely personal finishing touches to help your stay get off to a great start. I am sure we will return. We loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend break at Osprey Boat House. The accommodation has delightful views, is very well equipped and cosy for the cooler days.
Helen very kindly also surprised us with a welcome pack to include a bottle of champagne as it was my birthday on our arrival day.
So much to see within walking distance and very well placed for touring the rest of the lakes.
I can highly recommend and we hope to return one day!
