The staff was very helpful although they didn't speak English. I was able to use Google translate and WhatsApp to communicate effectively. The breakfast is included and very tasty. It's mostly buffet style however they also made omelettes according to your liking. The rooms are cleaned daily and the team and coffee station is always well maintained. Very quiet and relaxing.

Our stay at Casa Esmeralda was excellent! The hotel is gorgeous, and is located in a very convenient spot, without being too submerged in the bustle and noise of the city. The rooms were always kept clean by the staff, and the complimentary breakfast every morning was always delicious! Giara, the receptionist, is the sweetest! She was very gracious and helpful with anything we needed throughout our stay.

Nice clean hotel. Front desk great, room not big but pleasant, good breakfast. 18-20 minutes toPlaza de Armas. Hotel is on nice side street in an area that not particularly glamorous. Iglesia de Nuestrs Seńora de Belen is 5-10 minutes away.

We left a night early and moved to a different hotel. We advised the hotel of a feather allergy and what they were able to provide were 2 tiny throw pillows for me and my wife. The towels in the bathroom were tattered. The staff was rude, when I asked for an additional pillow case so I can stuff it with jackets to make my own. The shower did not drain well so if you took more than a 5 minute shower the water would overflow into the bathroom, not to mention you would be standing in 2 inches of water. The doorbell on the front door is not responsive and when we arrived at night we were stuck in this dark aly and they were not attending the phone number listed on the door to call for service. Lastly it is impossible to sleep here, you can hear EVERYONE on the same floor and above you, they appear to once have blackout curtains- because one window had them and the other did not and you have flood lights lighting up the entire room all night. The noise from the neighborhood, car alarms, and then from neighboring guest rooms is unbearable.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights, the room was very small, we barely have space to accommodate the luggage and the breakfast schedule was to short, around 8:30 am I’ve tried to pour myself a cup of coffee and there was none left, I’ve requested for one and they told sorry, no coffee available, no juice, no milk. Very disappointed.

Rooms are very comfortable, staff very friendly, breakfast was above our expectations. Due to its location is better to move using transportation to visit other places in Cusco.

I was only there one night between returning from Machu Picchu and heading back to Lima. But the entire place impressed me. It was beautiful! 12min walk to Mercado San Pedro. Eggs made to order at breakfast.

The place looks nice, the staff is very friendly, especially the lady who is taking care of the breakfast. There was an issue with payment by credit card. During payment I noted two times that I want to pay in USD. Nevertheless the front desk staff chose Euros during the payment process and a 3.5% fee of the credit card terminal operator (VisaNet) was charged. We complained within 24 hours at the front desk, but the employee assured us this was normal expected behaviour of the credit card terminal and there is no other alternative. I only found out at check-out that there is a step in the payment where you chose the currency (USD/EUR in my case). Please teach your front desk staff on how to use the credit card terminal properly, so you avoid unecessary 3.5% conversion fee charges. This issue spoiled the otherwise good experience

We were traelling as a family, occupying 3 rooms.
The place is done really tastefully, and the rooms are very nice, if they could be slightly more spacious and with a desk.
Bathrooms were clean and the shower very powerful (always a bonus).
Breakfast was a good spread, cooks most accomodating.
Reception staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.
Quaint little garden, which is blessed by the daily visit of a humminbird :-)
Location is ok, slightly retired from town centre but whithin walking distance.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying there and recommend it wholeheartedly.

great hotel: clean room and bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was delicious. It's a great place to stay in Cusco.
Located about 15 min away from the main plaza on a quiet street.

The scented plug ins were very strongly scented which combined with the altitude gave my partner bad migraines, other than that this was an absolute perfect place to stay with lovely and helpful staff!

This hotel is very beautiful. Small and tucked away on a quiet street it has a very quaint feel as if staying in someone's home vs. a hotel. The entire place is very clean and I loved the coca tea set out at all times as well as the complimentary breakfast. They were also very nice offering to let us have breakfast the morning of our check-in instead of the next day since we had to leave for Machu Picchu very early in the morning before breakfast. The first night was difficult as there were dogs barking loudly in the street all night but that is not the hotel's fault. I'm glad I took a chance and booked them again for a few more days later in my stay because those nights were very quiet. Be sure to ask at the front desk if they can help arrange tours because we had several very nice private tours to surrounding ruins that we would have never set up otherwise. They also let us store our luggage before and after checkin. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
