Good location for what we needed. The woman at the front desk that checked us in was very nice.
I thought the balcony was private from the pictures I seen. Didnt get creamer, sugar or straws with my coffee the next day. The hallway is pretty loud from people coming in and out. Doors are loud when they close.

Good location
You couldn’t control the temperature in your room and being on the second floor our room was consistently too warm.

Very well maintained.

I had no idea what to expect before arriving but was more than pleasantly surprised. This is an iconic motel that does not fit into its surroundings, which made it a unique stay. Inquire about its history - it is fascinating. Price is amazing for Chicago, especially this great location. Close to an array of restaurants - diner to upscale and everything in between. Riverwalk close. Nothing special about the room itself, but it was clean, furnished with what I needed, and safe. Staff was incredibly welcoming. Parking on site at very reasonable fee. I have found my favorite downtown Chicago hotel!

Location was great, employees were very friendly and helpful. Will diffently stay there again!

Location, walkable distance to downtown.
Staff, very rude and disrespectful.
I was overcharged 3x for parking when I only stayed 1 night, and when I asked why they said the system wasn’t working, so I asked if they could print me a receipt and the receipt said they only charged me 1x for parking but my credit card charges says otherwise. So I asked the manager to put it in writing that they will look into it or to cancel the extra charges and he said he couldn’t do that, for my records I asked if I could record the manager saying that and he said no (which I understand), so I stopped recording but asked the manager again to repeat the reasoning for them to not give me a written notice or something that stated that they would do something about it, and he literally said: “I will not repeat myself, I have already told you and if you didn’t understand that’s not my problem”.

It was clean, decent sized room
The shower didn’t work and we informed a employee and nothing was done about it not even credit or some sort of refund, the parking lot was awful and having to pay to park in that terrible of a parking lot was not ideal. The room was super hot and you can’t control the temperature in your own room.

The hotel is in a excellent location, near restaurants, Riverwalk, Eataly . The bedroom and bathroom was very clean. The fee to use the parking in cheaper than other hotels.
In the bedroom you will hear the sound of cars on the street during the night.
It is not possible to adjust the temperature inside the bedroom. In my case it was very hot inside the bedroom and It was necessary to open the window.

Very simple but clean and comfortable motel in the heart of Chicago. For us, it was a typical american experience. The stuff was very helpful! We had some problems with loud neighbors but the stuff clarified this situation.
Had some problems with the air condition but the stuff also helped us with it. A kettle in the room would be nice.

Impecable
Todo estaba muy bien. Excelente y recomendado 100%

The location was fantastic for what we were doing in Chicago and the parking option was great.
The top level have balconies which would have been great to know and that parking was for first in not that you had an actual parking spot with your booking.

The location was nice. There was a McDonald's across the street and a target around the corner. We had no problems with other people staying at the hotel. Staff was friendly.
We didn't like not having control of the heat because the room would be really hot and we were too scared to leave the window open for so long

Location

Superb location! Free parking, safe area. Nicely renovated motel, originally built in the 1960s. A little noise conveys from adjoining rooms, but it's not bad. Others have commented about traffic noise. You're in downtown Chicago, what do you expect? It's part of the experience! Edgar, the manager exceeded all expectations, as did the entire staff. There is an ice maker, it is at the front desk, right as you walk in the door. Plenty of clean filtered ice. We never had a problem parking in the week we were there.
There is very little not to like about the Ohio House. The Wi-Fi was weak in our room, which made watching TV a little difficult. The room could have used another lamp - the only lights were by the entry door, and the bedside table lamps. No big deal, though. Great value, delighted with our stay.
4.3
Shout out to Edgar for helping me out, I need to leave a tip for him, but I don’t know how. I forgot to that on my way out because I did not do the check out.
Free parking, accessibility to everything downtown, extremely clean rooms with daily room service ouff! There’s too much to say. My experience here felt better than a lot of chain hotels I have slept at. Perfect. I will recommend to everyone I know. And I will only use Ohio house whenever I come to Chicago.
There was nothing not to like

The room was very small, but clean and updated. Perfect for a weekend stay in the city. Beds were comfortable, shower pressure was good. The free parking is a hassle. You'll have to leave your keys and they'll move your car as they need. We didn't use the car during our stay, so it turned out to work fine. Location is great. Grab a coffee at Eataly few blocks away, and you're on Michigan ave after a couple more blocks.
The windows are paper thin, so it's really noisy at night with a bar next door and other city sounds. Would be nice if the motel provided ear plugs on the bed table. Costs pennies, but changes the experience.

very nice staff and clean cozy rooms. good location
parking was a bit of a headache. there were not spots when we got there so i parked in a handicap spot and left my keys with them and they moved my car a couple times throughout my stay. i didn’t need my car while i was there so it was not a big deal for me.

I love everything about the place, it meets all of my requirements while looking for a place to stay in Chicago:
it's very clean, free parking, short distances to CTA (trains and bus), close proximity to all the "touristy" places, groceries (Target, Trader Joe's), etc.
I don't think there's any. But a MINOR thing maybe some other rooms tend to be very noisy close to midnight, but it's really not bugging us at all.

Accommodation with free parking in downtown Chicago. No Smoking in rooms and balconies as well. The rooms are clean. Walking distance to everywhere downtown. There are supermarkets and restaurants for breakfast/dinner near it.

location is fantastic, also free parking was the reason I booked, you can reach everything on foot or with the loop. the room was nice, the bed comfy. would definitely come again
