Comfortable, clean. Very nice.
I could hear every step above me. It was very annoying.

Great location. Very clean and new. Great common facilities, especially the back patio for breakfast.

The room and bathroom were as expected and the coffee, granola, and yogurt for breakfast were good.
First of all, realize that there is no elevator, and we had large suitcases. Not the best planning on our part. That would have been fine but when we got to the room the windows to the deck were a little spotty, the screen door to the balcony was off its track, and there was pigeon poop all over the balcony railings. We asked for these things to be addressed while we were out, and when we returned one side of the windows had been cleaned, but there were still spots on the other side. The bird poop was removed, but the screen was still off its track. The next morning at 5:30 light was coming in through window blinds that didn't cover the whole window. This was fixed the same day. We shouldn't have had to ask for any of this. It wasn't awful by any means, but at $300+ per night we expected a little better.

The breakfast was good but maybe offer something hot. The location is awesome, alot of activities in the area.
My room was cold. Also my TV didn't have a firestick or whatever means you use to watch TV. We had to use our own.

location was great! not too close or too far from the action and didn’t feel unsafe. was worried about parking but plenty of street parking available during our stay. home was lovely and clean, breakfast was great.
not important at all since we only tried to watch tv as we got ready for bed/ ready for the day for short periods but no cable or streaming service other than one id never heard of that had absolutely nothing on it but really not an issue as we just used it for background noise.

Maddie was very welcoming, efficient and very nice. Available snacks were just right . Coffee, tea and water were available. Breakfast was a continental and generous
We stayed in room 102 in the lower level and we would for sure get a room on an upper floor if we return. We could hear every footstep, chair scrape, and bump from above. This was disturbing for sleep in the morning,
Also a makeup mirror is needed in the bathroom. I had difficulty putting on eye makeup because I am short and far away from the mirror.

very nice small hotel, with big rooms. Everything is new and clean. Breakfast is amazing, and you can take it on the terrace is the weather allow it. Very well located for visiting Chicago, the loop in 25 minutes walking or 10 minutes with metro.

Beautiful B & B and location was ideal.
Picked this accommodation based on free parking. When we arrived we were told no parking passes were available and to park a few streets away. No air or fan running in room, very warm. Rooms need something for white noise or fan. The house was full of guests, but host seemed slow to stay on top of needed breakfast items including coffee.

This was such a unique and incredible stay. We would recommend The Sono to anyone visiting Chicago! The neighborhood was beautiful to explore, and the home was immaculate to stay in. We loved the communal feel of the shared spaces, and one of our favorite memories of our stay is sharing drinks and conversation with another couple on the rooftop patio one evening! The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The beds were so comfortable, and the attached bathroom had a very roomy shower! We never wanted to leave!
Nothing! This was one of our favorite stays ever.

The Sono provided a friendly and homely environment. The atmosphere was greatly enhanced by April who wove her magic spell to make sure that everyone was happy and had what they needed. The communal area and kitchen were very clean and modern and were perfect for meeting other guests if one wished. Continental breakfast was included which April orchestrated with aplomb. The location isn't city centre but then it is a short trip on the metro which is within easy walking distance. A perfect location to stay if you are in Chicago and want a more personal experience.
The Sono doesn't have an elevator so if you have a heavy case like we did, it is quite a slog to get it up to the 3rd floor. Apart from that it is great.

The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower was nice and hot
I didn’t like the fact I paid for breakfast and wasn’t nothing available at 8am, when breakfast was suppose to be available from 6am-10am, I was offered coffee and a protein bar like really. I didn’t like how COLD it was upstairs. I didn’t like the fact I asked was this an AIRBNB and was told No but infact it’s like a AIRBNB. I didn’t like the fact that there’s a kitchen but you can’t use it due to liability. I didn’t like the fact when you Google boutique hotel it’s says you get special attention because the hotel doesn’t hold more than 50 guest well why I had to call the host more than once, just to be told if you call more than 20 times it will be reported to the police. This place is OVERPRICED & OVERRATED for basic services no microwave or refrigerator or a phone in the room I feel they should call this a dorm it’s no where to move around. I didn’t have a balcony or patio just in a tight small room like a Rooming house.

- The rooms and the house in general is beautiful. Great roof top and beautiful interior.
- great location, good parking and very close to the subway.
- after our arrival (which was already complicated because nobody was at the house at 3pm) the person that welcomed us made a very sharp comment about their smoking habits ("we do not allow smoking habits just you know you Europeans and smoking"). Neither do my partner and I smoke so we both felt like it was a rude comment.
- the entire breakfast experience was weird. The food was very good but we felt like it was just about enough for everybody to have one serving. When other guests arrived at 8:45 am there was only one croissant and one chocolate croissant left. After they asked if there was more they were told "well yes but it would take about 30-45 minutes to make". Also many things weren't filled up after they were empty because the person in charge kept going to the basement for a while. That felt weird.

Comfortable bed. Free parking
According to the description it was a superior room. In room were only 2 beds and a closet.
There was no chair and no table. Room was simple to small. Better to remove the cabinet
Also a coffee maker is missing.
The breakfast lacked bread. There was only one croissant for each.
