Everything in the house was lovely, very comfortable and well stocked.
Only disappointing thing was the games room as this was very tired and we didn’t use it at all.

This property is as stunning in real life as it is in photos. The rooms are of high standard with very comfortable beds - everyone slept well. Communal areas are ideal for large gatherings as people can have their own space or mix all together in larger spaces. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The garden is a wonderful space with plenty of space for games, or just chilling in large egg chair or swinging seat - with the great addition of the outdoor hot tub.
Family came from Ireland and London so this was a perfect mid point venue.
Highly recommend, no one wanted to leave. Can't wait to go again.

Simply stunning. Three sisters, all grandmothers, children and grandchildren had a wonderful time. The hot tub was a big success as was the table tennis in the Games Barn - very competitive family! We found the beach, and paddled , did the Memorial Walk and ate far too much. Our six year old said the best adjective was ‘splendid’.

Stunning house in picture perfect village
Beautiful old manor house perfect for large groups, with a well stocked kitchen and several communal spaces to choose from. All of the bedrooms are of a decent size and there are plenty of bathrooms to go around too. Eardisland is an incredibly pretty little village, but the nearest supermarket is only 5 - 10 mins drive away. The large garden and hot tub is lovely, but do bear in mind that the Manor House is at the centre of the village with low walls so there's not a lot of privacy.

Perfect Weekend Retreat for a Birthday Celebration
This house was simply perfect for celebrating my mother's 80th Birthday. Half the guests came from Essex and the other half from Cheshire so this was sort of in the middle.
The house has plenty of space for everyone to relax and is equipped with everything you could possibly need - including a grand piano which was used extensively to entertain us. Beautiful walks around the village and surrounding countryside as well as 2 pubs across the street.
We had Christine's Catering come in on Saturday night to provide the celebration dinner for 16 people on the Manor House' recommendation and the food and service was exceptional

Wonderful and well thought out house
The Manor House provided everything we needed for a fantastic weekend away. The communal areas had plenty of space for 19 adults and 5 kids to hang out and the bedrooms were spacious and lovely. The well stocked kitchen meant we had everything we needed for staying in when the weather was miserable. A wonderful house.

Fabulous house for a big gathering in a great location
We recently stayed at the Manor with 9 families, and we had a fabulous school reunion weekend. We were 18 adults and lots of kids (aged 8 to 4 weeks old) and there was plenty of space for us all. we had mixed weather so at times we were all inside and it never felt cramped. The living space is vast, if we wanted to get away for a quiet 10 mins you could. Bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely. The house is extremely well equipped and we had everything we needed. The aga was a real treat to cook with, we slow roasted lamb shoulders in the low oven and it was amazing and very easy. The games room, hot tub and garden were all very well used. The location of the house is great, within a very lovely little village, with pubs, a tearoom and a little shop, everything we needed. Lots of places to go for walks straight from the house, across fields and so very child-friendly. We had a fabulous lunch at the Cross Inn across the road from the house and would highly recommend it, food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. We also ate in Rita's tearooms which is definitely worth a visit. All in all a fabulous house and location, would definitely return. Thank you.

Amazing property. First class. Facilities were simply outstanding
We had an absolutely wonderful weekend in the Grade II listed Manor House. The location is incredibly beautiful. Everything we needed, the house provided. The bedrooms didn't let us down at all, in fact the family room was stunning. I would highly recommend staying at this property and hopefully I will be again!

Fantastic stay with family, great space.
We were celebrating a significant 80 th birthday and had a fantastic family weekend. The house was perfect for everyone to have private time or to join in the the fun. The garden gave us the opportunity to talk over a glass of wine or to play games on the lawn. The hot tub was a favourite before dinner chilling again with a glass of wine. The kitchen was well equiped although some cupboard were broken as was the ice container in the kitchen freezer. We catered for ourselves but the tearoom across the road was able to provide food if we wished. We had a lovely tea there on our first day. The facilities in the house enabled us to have enjoyable evenings either playing games or doing karaoke - such a laugh. We played table tennis and boules on the lawn in the house and went over to the park to play rounders. I would definitely recommend the house.

Fantasic Property - Great Location
A group of about 20 friends go away for a weekend every year. This is probably the best we have stayed in. It was certainly the best equipped. The décor, furnishings and finishes were really nice and for such a lovely old listed building it was in great condition. The service provided by the owner was great, I managed to organise a slightly early arrival and a slightly late departure, those extra few minutes really took the pressure off.
It is a pretty village with a lovely river, we even saw a Kingfisher. We walked to The Angel in Kingsland for Sunday lunch - also to be recommended.
I would recommend this property to all my friends and relatives!!

The Manor House and Eardisland have the Wow factor
My wife selected Eardisland Manor house for our group of 17 to celebrate a special birthday over a long weekend. Our first impression on arrival was "Wow". The house and grounds are beautiful and as we pulled onto the driveway the anticipation built.
The exploration of the house was an adventure in itself as we toured a grand collection of ground floor rooms: huge well-equipped kitchen; dining and reception rooms, before going on to explore the staircases, landings and bedrooms. The house was clean and beautifully decorated and furnished with a mix of modern and traditional styles. The bedrooms ranged from the grand to the simple but again the mix of traditional and elegant modern facilities gave a feeling of comfort, good taste and quality.
Outside the gardens are spacious, pleasant and well kept. Sunny weather ensured we made good use of terrace furniture to enjoy breakfasts, BBQs and general social gathering along with the well-equipped games/recreation barn and hot-tub.
Eardisland itself was delightful, with "picture-postcard" village views of river, bridges and cottages along with church, dovecote/museum and other country village features. There are two pubs opposite the Manor house, but we had no need to try them as we were so comfortable and had ensured that we were well supplied in the house.
We had a walk with our OS Map, towards Shobdon - a little longer than expected due to some unclear footpath diversions! However, the walk was enjoyable, the pub at Shobdon was most welcoming, setting us up for the return walk via the nearby busy and interesting airfield.
Back in the house, the variety of lounge/sitting rooms meant that our group of young adults and the older generation could mix in large or small groups as appropriate at various times.
The beds were soooo comfortable with good quality bedlinen. Bathrooms had thick fluffy towels and were thoughtfully equipped with toiletries. All of our group were as impressed with the house, facilities, garden and Eardisland village as we were.
A couple of minor things. The hot-tub was initially out of action due to a leak, but that was quickly attended to by the on-call house manager who was brilliant and clearly loves the house as much as her guests do. The grand piano was out of tune which was a shame as we had a pianist in our party eager to try it.
This was a special occasion for me and the Manor House provided an exceptional setting for it. All the elements needed for a perfect weekend.

Our Weekend Stay at the Manor House
I rented the Manor House for a weekend stay with my family to celebrate my 70th birthday. 23 of us gathered on Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday lunchtime.
We had a excellent time and I cannot find fault with any of the facilities provided, from the beautifully-appointed kitchen, dining room and three lounge areas, to the hot tub outside in the garden. Everything one could think of was provided.
Many thanks to Maggie and Nicky for the obvious time and effort that has been put in to make things run so smoothly.
