Nothing
Very aged and dirty. Breakfast staff and service shocking. Baths all battered and dirty. All in all desperate need of a clean up.

Clean, spacious room. Very dog friendly. Owner and staff were lovely and i had a great time. Would definatley stay again

Quirky and owner was welcoming
The room was very hot and couldn’t keep window open as was windy and window clasps weren’t secure enough to prop open.

nothing-left after seeing the room
room was full of damp and mold so asked for refund and left

Location. Dinner was good. Very large bedroom.
Being on the top floor, too many stairs.
3.9
The room was quiet and very comfortable.
The water pressure was a little low, but manageable.
3.9
nice location, staff were super friendly
Room was VERY tired, shower didn’t work, was literally a trickle with both taps on full, pointless, the bath took an age to fill
very basic toiletries, no glasses for water, dressing table pointless unless you squatted on floor as it was impossible to see in mirrors, we couldn’t find a phone.
it was just a bit shabby and sadly not worth the money.

Beautiful surroundings near Llanrwst.
Easy to find and lots of parking
The food was amazing.
We just felt well looked after.
It's great to be able to have the dog with us, even while eating in the bar.
Be able to have breakfast in the bar so we could have the dog with us .

breakfast could’ve been better

Breakfast was beautiful,
Evening meal was out of this world the food was one of the best we have tasted

The warm welcome by Kerry, the fact I asked if I could have a first floor room as requested was quickly dealt with. I really got the impression from all of the staff that NOTHING was too much trouble. The evening meal was outstanding value for the money. Slept in the most comfortable bed followed by a faultless breakfast. In all honesty I was blown away. Well done to you all
The hot water was an issue when I had a shower late afternoon. That is the only thing that I could fault my stay on.

Breakfast was very good, lots of choice. We also had dinner on the Saturday night, again very good food, in fact it was one of the best steaks I have had for a long time, cooked perfectly. Bar and ale was also very good, lots of choice on drinks.
All of the staff that we met were very friendly and polite too, overall a very enjoyable weekend.

We loved the peacefulness and ambience of the hotel. Breakfast and evening meals were very good and so was the service. Our room was spacious with modern decor and our beds were very comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the lounge area that we thought was very tastefully decorated. It was easy to park the car in the hotel grounds. The staff were all friendly, particularly the lady on duty at breakfast.
The bathroom was adequate but we felt that it could have been better. We had to climb up into the walk-in shower and it was small. We booked the room as it was advertised with a walk-in shower as I have a disability. We found the temperature of the water fluctuated also, making it difficult to easily shower.
The reception area and the first floor (where there is a doorway that leads to the kitchen), smelt of burning fat and was really quite overpowering at times. The door to the kitchen was always open which meant that the odour permeated parts of the hotel.

Beautiful building, welcoming and helpful staff, food was amazing and so was the service
Our bed was a bit too small, also the carpet in the room had multiple stains on it.
We could not find any towels in the room either. Wasn’t the end of the world, but requires more attention when rooms are being prepared.

character and made to feel welcome throughout the stay,
couldn’t fault any of it

Fantastic venue, amazing, welcoming, friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. David was very hospitable and great company. The lady serving breakfast was lovely and very friendly. The building is amazing, full of character. I read lots of negative reviews beforehand but I am so glad we went to see for ourselves...it is a great place to stay and couldn't have been any better. Thank you

Lovely welcome and kind hosts. Excellent location and a grand place. Great breakfast and the service was excellent. Lovely clean bar & sitting area with fireplace.
The king suite needs updating and a proper clean. Dusty chandeliers & wallpaper peeling off the walls, it was a bit of a let down, especially for the price. The bed was super creaky, and the mattress was very hard. The kitchen was directly below so it was very hot and uncomfortable in the room.

David and the staff where so lovely, they made you feel very welcome
The food was of a high standard.
the entrance and lounge had Warm coal fires.
Thank you for the mince pies David.
However I know it's a dog friendly hotel, and that's ok.but dogs where allowed in the lounge where food was placed on a table, with dogs walking close to table. Please leave dogs in room while people are eating.
Also shower in room was of low standard, we could not have a shower, head rest to low down, water scolding or to cold, but if they where to take jacuzzi out and put walk in shower in it would be fab.

Staff were very friendly and kindly upgraded our room with no extra charge. Very accommodating and made our dog feel very welcome too! amazing double jacuzzi.
Food was nice but not super special. a bit of dust above the bed and some bits in the sink. Decor maybe a bit dated.
3.9
The location was great and the people there were really nice. Room was spacious. The hotel was really nice to look at on the outside.
I think that the furniture could of been a bit better for example the mattress wasn’t very comfortable and having chairs that you could see where peoples heads have been was a bit yucky. The bathroom wasn’t really that nice. Also the bedding was stained as well.

Beautiful property with a cozy library with a fireplace to relax in the evening, nice pub and peaceful grounds. Welcoming staff that made my stay feel like I was special. Dog friendly and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was fantastic with a super sweet server.

Breakfast was excellent.
The room, cobwebs hanging above my head in bed, toilet didn't flush properly, ran out of toilet paper and tissues, hadn't been hoovered. Room was 2 flights of stairs, we're elderly and had to carry suitcase up

Absolutely stunning venue, staff are amazing. Had booked another chalet for a couple of days after here but WISH we had stayed here instead!!
nothing liked it all
