The home has 5 Master Bedrooms with King Beds & En Suite Bathrooms located on 3 levels as well as a BUNK ROOM that sleeps 6 in twin beds.
The First Master Bedroom on the upper level has a King Bed, a Private en suite, shower and tub. The Second Master Bedroom on the main level has s King Bed, a Private en suite, and a walk-in shower. The Third Master Bedroom on the main level has a King Bed, an en suite bathroom, a shower and tub. The Fourth Master Bedroom on the lower level has s King Bed, a Private en suite, and a walk-in shower. The Fifth Master Bedroom on the lower level has s King Bed, a shared en suite, and a walk-in shower. The well-stocked kitchen provides all the cookware, utensils, appliances and items you will need for your home cooked meals. There is an oversized floor to ceiling stone covered WOOD Burning Fireplace that can be used from October 1 to March 31. The 360-degree wrap around hardy plank decks (no splinters) are excellent for entertaining. They also provide year round breath-taking views and endless peace, quiet and relaxation while listening to the sounds of nature. There is an outdoor 6 person HOT TUB on the lower level that affords both privacy and spectacular views. The GAME ROOM is fun for the young and old alike. We have a large screen TVs for sports lovers (Direct TV Plus) in the Family Room and Basement Recreation area. We also have a full size "Old School" arcade console with over 95+ video games. If you like foosball, Ping-Pong, board games or books, we have that too. There are Bluetooth speakers that guests can connect to anytime to play your favorite music in the kitchen & game room. Our gated community is entirely paved so you will not need an all-wheel or four-wheel drive car. The oversized driveway is not steep and can easily accommodate up to 8 cars.
Diamond Ridge is truly a unique mountain retreat that you never need to leave. Because of its one-of-a-kind location, there are literally 360-degree views from the oversized windows and expansive decks. There are spectacular views of Mt. Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, Chimney Rock, Linville Gorge, Lake Lure and Hickory Nut Gorge to name a few. Being so close to the Pisgah National Forest, you have access to numerous hiking trails inside and outside of Catawba Falls Preserve. There are countless hiking trails, streams, rivers and waterfalls nearby. The most common animals that you may encounter while out and about are deer, wild turkeys, rabbits and birds that span the colors of the rainbow. At Diamond Ridge, you will feel a million miles away, but you are minutes from the cultural conveniences of Asheville & Black Mountain.
All linens, blankets and towels are provided and we have an extra large Washer & Dryer for your use. We also have hair dryers for your use while visiting. The custom made (from reclaimed bowling alley lanes) dinning table really seats 16, there are 3 stools for seating at the kitchen bar and extra chairs and tables if needed for family gatherings. Steps from the cabin is a shed that has firewood for your use in the winter months. For outdoor grilling, we have a propane gas BBQ grill for you to use. SMART TV'S in all areas and bedrooms with unlimited YouTubeTV with tons of local and cable channels, and all the apps you expect, that you can access with your login/pw to use. There are Flat Screen TVs located in the family room, the lower level recreation area and ALL 5 Master Suites. The Wi-Fi Internet is provided through Sky Runner and works great for surfing the web, checking emails, and streaming. The house has a landline for unlimited U.S. telephone calls. Cell service depends on your carrier, but Verizon cellular service works best for mobile phones. We also have an outdoor gas fire table.
PET POLICY: Up to 2 well behaved dogs MAX. (no cats) that are NOT puppies, that ARE housebroken, that NEVER chew and will not scratch or freak out and scratch when you leave, assuming you don't bring your own cage to use while you are out. $195 non-refundable pet fee and you must get prior owner approval as to the type of dog(s) before any pet are permitted.

After living in New York and South Florida for over 30 years, our family decided to move to the enchanting town of Asheville, NC to raise our children. We still love living in Asheville, but we wanted a mountain escape that our family could enjoy from time to time. After years of searching we found the perfect Mountain Top site to build our dream vacation and eventual retirement home that is in a gated community with paved roads and some of the most breathtaking views in North Carolina. The best part was that is less than 30 minutes to Asheville. So in 2018 we built the most amazing log cabin vacation home in the perfect spot with 360 degree views as far as the eye can see. Since we live so close and enjoy it all the time, we decided to share this incredible log cabin so other families can enjoy it as much as we do.

Stay was excellent! The Diamonds were communicative, easy to work with, and accommodating of our needs. House is quite large. The wrap-around porch provided multiple spaces in which small groups could gather, or our introverts could sneak away for a “quiet break”. The large dining tables is grand! Definitely a place to remember.

To celebrate my husband’s 70th. We loved the house and all the special touches the host did for us. Hiking near by was awesome. Great places to eat and drink in the Black Mountain. Even got to see a black bear on the way out..

We had a great time! Kitchen/dining spacious enough for our large group (13). Home super clean and beds very comfortable. We had lots of things to do together and spaces to retreat for quiet. Enjoyed sunrises on the 360° deck, and hikes to nearby falls. Thanks for hosting our family reunion; hope we can come again.

We were mesmerized by the views and the home! It was spotless and accommodating. The host checked in several times and made us feel welcome. We would love to stay here again.
Also, because we have a disabled family member, I searched for a home with features and layout that would make him comfortable. After the three low stairs it was a smooth entry. Thank you for considering all those who have circumstances life hands us.

Catawba Falls Reserve is probably our favorite place to stay when we visit North Carolina to hike. We have stayed in this area multiple times. The Black Diamond Lodge is definitely the BEST! We loved the location as it has a trailhead to Upper Catawba Falls right behind the lodge. It is secluded enough to enjoy nature without being inconvenient to taking trips into town for needs. The layout of the lodge easily held our family and we actually could have had more people with us. The parking can hold several cars ( we have 3). Jason, our host, was easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed for our week. I highly recommend this lodge.

Cabin was exactly as pictured and described. Absolutely beautiful with stunning views. We even got a little snow! Kitchen fully stocked! All bedrooms spacious with bathrooms. So private. Game room downstairs was used by all ages on our trip. Easy drive to town. Would love to stay there again. Highly recommend!

The house is enormous and the views unbeatable. Having rented numerous houses in these mountains, I can easily say this was the best view of them all. Thirteen of us (with 2 dogs) celebrated a family Christmas that will go down in the history books as awesome. There was room for everyone to have his own space. The large square table was a real plus; we could all sit for a meal and actually converse with each other. The house is on top of the mountain about 25 minutes from Black Mountain (up a very curvy road). We considered this an asset because we were trying "to get away from it all." We definitely hope to go back again; it was an A+ holiday.

This cabin (we lovingly referred to it as a chalet) was perfect for our Christmas/birthday getaway. The listing was the definition of under promising and over delivering. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions and the kitchen was supplied with everything one could need on a 2 family trip. We took advantage of the large game table and the games downstairs as well as the hot tub one morning after watching the SPECTACULAR sunrise. The house was clean and instructions were clear and the views were breathtaking.
If you’ve never stayed in the mountains around Asheville before, you may want to consider popping a Dramamine before you get off the highway (but I have become rather sensitive to car sickness). The twists and turns can make you a bit nauseous but the roads were easy to navigate and no need for 4 wheel or all wheel drive. Once you get to the gate of the neighborhood, what a beautiful drive to reach the cabin.
We mainly drank the water straight from the spigot so we didn’t need all the bottled water we brought with us.
There was an extra fridge downstairs that they gave us access to use and that proved very helpful for our large group.
We visited Asheville the first day and all the breweries and shops but my husband loved our last day more when we spent the day in the little town of Black Mountain. It was such a quaint town with all “coolness” of Asheville but on a much cozier scale.

We loved our stay at this property. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and has the perfect sleeping options for our group. Our kids loved the bunk room and games downstairs. I also love that there are incredible hiking options right out the back door.

Could not have been better. Owners were very accommodating and house was well supplied with essentials. Location was very picturesque and quiet. 360 views of the mountains. Shopping 20 mins away. Plenty of things to do and lots of attractions near by. Perfect trip all the way around.

We had a wonderful stay during the first week of September. The weather was perfect. The location is a bit of a drive to get to other cities such as Chimney Rock, Asheville, and Black Mountain, but we got used it as it's a gorgeous drive no matter which direction you go.
We had a blast in Apple Valley at both Stepps and Granddad's apple orchards, as well as the nearby winery/cidery.
We also had a great time in Chimney Rock!
The sunrise views cannot be beat. Our group enjoyed drinking coffee and watching the sunrise over the mountains each morning.
There was plenty of room for our whole family and grandparents. The kids loved the bunk bed room and games!
Highly recommend taking advantage of the handful of hiking trails that start at the trailhead near the bottom of the driveway.
There is plenty to do at the property or right around the corner if you want to stay in, or everything else is a 25-30 minute drive.
We'd definitely return to this property.

We traveled from all over to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary - the house was perfect and the hosts were very helpful. We all thoroughly enjoyed the stay - the views could not be beat, each family group had plenty of room (and the pre-teens / teens loved having a space to themselves). Highly recommend!

The cabin was wonderful and exactly as listed on VRBO. That has not always been the case, and we were very pleased. It is on a mountain top with a wonderful view of the Appalachians. It was well worth getting up to see the sunrise over the mountains.
Our family included two grandparents, a great aunt, our two children, their spouses, and four grandchildren ranging from 10 to 15 (three girls, one boy). The bedrooms easily accommodated us.

We had a Great time at Diamond Ridge! The home was Gorgeous and location Perfect at the top of the mountain. The views and sunrises were Spectacular! The cabin was spacious and our group of 12 had plenty of space. We especially enjoyed the large kitchen where we could cook and the large kitchen table where we could all sit around, enjoy our meals and play games. The game room was a huge hit too. Jason and Rhonda were excellent hosts, and we would highly recommend this Beautiful home to others looking for a mountain escape and adventure.

I stayed with 8 friends for a yearly reunion and it was great. The cabin was clean and well kept. It feels very modern, but appropriate for the setting. We appreciated the soap provided in the bathrooms. We had everything we needed to cook our own meals in the cabin. The owners are very hospitable and checked in a few times with us. The views and location are beautiful. There is plenty of seating and a firepit to talk away the night on the wraparound porch. You have to be comfortable with driving some switch backs and hills to get to the remote location, but the views are astounding and it's worth the drive. Do not miss the hike to Catawba Falls if you don't mind a semi-strenuous hike; the waterfall is magical. It was an amazing experience.

We were a group of 4 brothers with their spouses as well as a few children. We were looking for a place for the brothers to get together. They had not all been together for years due to several being in the military. Our only plan for the week was to spend time together. We could not have found a more beautiful site to get together. The cabin was beautiful, clean and private. The fact that the majority of the bedrooms had king size beds and private bathrooms was a definite plus. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had within moments of sending a text. He even came out on Sunday when we found a bee's nest on the front porch. He dealt with it immediately & had Terminix out the next day to spray even more. They made sure we knew what the checkout process was well in advance and checked in with me throughout the week to see if we needed anything and give us suggestions of things to do. We found a hiking trail literally feet from our driveway that lead to a waterfall that was child friendly. I would definitely recommend staying at this cabin. It was truly a wonderful vacation.

This cabin has everything that you could possibly need during your stay. We enjoyed playing corn hole and ping pong. There are TVs in every room but my group never turned them on.

The accommodations were fabulous and the unusually warm weather made for a wonderful week. Having so many bedrooms and bathrooms was great for our large group and the large open common area and kitchen was a perfect hangout space. The owner Jason is very attentive and available. The home is a real gem and the town of Black Mountain was also. When you explore the side streets of Black Mountain and the shops and restaurants, there was so much to do. We spent time exploring in places like Seven Sisters and Sassafras (this was a favorite). Lunch at Louise’s Kitchen and their mimosas was fabulous. The Sierra Nevada brewery and the Biltmore Tour and wine tasting in Asheville also favorites. The information Jason provided on things to do was particularly nice. We followed his suggestions on hikes and places to go many days and it made for a wonderful family trip. We hope to return sometime down the road.

This property was beyond amazing. The views, the expansiveness of the house, the private mountaintop setting are all things we will never forget.
Just as incredible is how clean the property is! We had some friends joining us that are embarrassingly picky (hopefully they're not reading this!). I was concerned as they have never stayed at a place that met their expectations and they are VERY VOCAL.
Upon entering the house for the first time, they spent an hour going from room to room and could not believe the overall condition of the cabin and how clean everything was.
Their only comment after pulling the sheets aside, studiously inspecting the inside of each cabinet, and peering underneath all of the beds was: "This place must be brand new."
Brand new or not, we had a fantastic time relaxing in front of the wood-burning fire, sitting around the 16-person table for dinner, or just gazing entranced at the panoramic long range mountain views.
Living above the clouds for a week is something we will never forget!

We really enjoyed our stay at Diamond Ridge! The location was great - on the top of the mountain - and the home was beautiful. Jason & Rhonda were very quick to answer any questions we had throughout the weekend. We would definitely recommend this home to others looking for a mountain getaway.

We rented out this property for a low key bachelorette party in Asheville. The house fit all guests perfectly and the views were amazing. The cabin was exceptionally clean with ample instructions for all the amenities available. Check out the hike to the stair step falls it was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a weekend away in the mountains.

There are endless words to describe this property and all are synchronous with stunning. The space was well equipped to accommodate our family of 12 with space to allow for individual relaxation and group family fun. The kitchen was well stocked, very large, and easily allowed us to cook family meals. The views were phenomenal! Thank you to our hosts who made our vacation even more enjoyable! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Asheville.

This place is absolutely amazing! The home was spotless and well stocked. Was perfect for a week away to the mountains for my MILs 70th. We traveled w three small children in our group and the game room and property were well thought out even for their ages! The hot tub was one of our favorite things in addition to morning coffee sunrises by the fire pit. Short drive to downtown Black Mountain and Asheville breweries made it the perfect location! We are already trying to book our next week away.
