The location was good, it was pretty close to different restaurants, and it was walkable to go to the centre. The beds were comfortable.
They made us pay in cash at arrival, 20 mil colones. Which was more than I was supposed to pay. I was supposed to pay 18 mil colones, it isn’t a big difference but it still is a difference. At breakfast I asked nicely if it was possible to make the eggs more cooked. It wasn’t possible but when my partner asked it in Spanish, all of the sudden it was possible, which felt weird for us. The towels they provide are microfiber, which we also didn’t like.

The location and views were stunning! Wildlife all around, great breakfast, served with much efficiency!
The staff were great at organising tours.
1 staff member seemed unhappy when we went for breakfast at 7.45 - he said it was too late?

Deluxe cabin was super! Felt like a quiet “house in the trees”, private, monkeys visited! The brothers who run this place worked hard. Thanks for the nice breakfasts you made!
Loves the private cabin. A few hooks on wall could be useful? Otherwise great!

The incredible view down the valley from the back terrace! Monkeys visited us, and we ate breakfast out in the fresh air. Wonderful breeze and incredible view. A great place to play games in the evening and visit with other backpackers as well!
We liked everything about it!

Super nice breakfast, a fantastic view and very good, quality and fresh food
Our room (n°1) was located at the outside, the isolation was poor so all night long we were hearing all trafic.
The bed was old and very uncomfortable.

Very nice little gem overlooking the valley, friendly and knowledgable staff, nice breakfast, walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and groceries.
Can be a bit noisy with the proximity of the road

The location is good, and the balcony area is beautiful, you can see views across Monteverde. A basic breakfast is included (coffee, fruit, eggs and toast).
On arrival, Andres told us all about the rules before he showed us to our room, not the warm reception we've had elsewhere. We asked about activities and he told us the expensive options and when we asked for more budget options, he said their weren't any so we had to look up our own plan for the afternoon (cataratas los murciélagos, would recommend!)
The bedsheets were old and the mattress sank underneath us. The walls were so thin we were kept awake by someone snoring in the next room. There was no ambience in the place, not like in other hostels we've been to where the shared area has a social buzz to it. Reception was almost always empty so we couldn't easily ask for anything.

Such a comfortable and clean place, I loved it! We unexpectedly got a room all to ourselves, with our own bathroom. The beds were super comfy a the staff was really nice and friendly. The view from the balcony is also great!
The only thing that could be improved would be to maybe equip the kitchen a little better and have basic ingredients like salt and maybe oil available.

Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean. The common areas were very clean as well. The view from the back is absolutely gorgeous. Lots of room in the fridge to put your food. It has a small and quiet B&B vibe, which is great.
So many bugs... but, it is in the middle of a jungle area, so bugs are kinda to be expected. The staff was a little unfriendly, but I understand. They probably get so many tourists coming through there. Tourists are exhausting; I know. :) It's also VERY loud if you get the front room, but you get used to it. I've slept in much louder rooms in India, so it really wasn't that bad.

Nice small terrace. Ok price if you manage to get the breakfast.
The reception guy who welcomed us was very rude, looking bored by our questions and looking at us like wodering what we were doing here when we just expected the keys. He gave us bad information about transport and kept pressuring so that we clean everything we used in the kitchen.
He advised us to go early (6.30) to the park but said there was no way we could have breakfast by this time, so no breakfast (which is only from 7 to 8...).
The bed was super squeashy and the noise from the road just beside super loud (even though we are used to this after 7months is latin america). There was a scorpion in the kitchen.
We left our bags after early check out to go to the park and no one was there when we came back, with the door locked. Some guest opened but the bags were not there. Thankfully we had the wifi and managed to call all the numbers on the door until one answered and gave us the bags before we could miss our bus. This guy looked way nicer than the other.
Overall very bad experience although the plqce has potential.

Close to center (walking distance). Good breakfast and nice terrace with a view. Coatis will join you for breakfast.
really noisy (close to street with lots of traffic from early in the morning till late night), I could not really sleep. Hot shower not working.

The location is great - a short walk from the facilities of Santa Elena but just enough out of town to feel like it's in the country. Lovely view from the balcony, and on two mornings we had a coati and some monkeys join us for breakfast. Breakfast (fruit and then scrambled eggs+toast or pancakes on alternating days) also very good.
I was initially overcharged when I checked in, although we got it sorted out. The shower wasn't very warm but it wasn't a huge deal.

Amazing balcony and communal seating area with a beautiful view from the mountain. Great value for money with just a short 5 min walk into the centre.
Quite noisy, our room was on the main road so could hear the cars a lot and the sound of wind was loud, just bring earplugs! There exchange rate came higher in dollars than what was shown on Booking.com which was a little misleading.

can be very noisy until 22:00 since the property is closed to a main road

Our room (#1) on the road was very loud with street noise and the wind and monkeys on the roof. Bring ear plugs!

The view out the back from the terrace was beautiful.
The Room we stayed in was right next to the towns main road, which made it hard to sleep due to the engine noises.

Good place to stay if you are on a budget. Nice view from terrace. Close to public transport, supermarket and restaurant.
Was bad ventilation in the room. So room always smell chemicals after cleaning. I have asthma, so was a discomfort for me. This is a biggest reason why I gave just 7. I think it will be better to use other chemicals for cleaning if ventilation is not good.

- view
- early check in possible. Guy who did the Check in was friendly and helpful
Worst place of our whole trip.
- rat in the kitchen drawer
- cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen
- maggots or something like that in the bed
We did not even spent the night there and left earlier. Do yourself a favour and spent 20 $ more for a better place.

We had the family room in Mora’s Place B&B, with private bathroom.
The room was very spacious and was good enough for us.
The staff was nice although one of the owners was friendlier than the other.
We loved the breakfast, it was delicious.
The accommodation had a good Wifi signal.
The best part was the balcony with the astonishing views. Having breakfast in the balcony was very very pleasant.
We booked a family room with private bathroom. Upon our arrival, they tried to change our room to one with shared bathroom. Of course, we declined.
The room had some cracks. We found a big spider in the bathroom.
The parking was not a private parking, just a spot in the street, so it was not totally secure, although we didn’t feel insecure in any moment.
