Breakfast was very well presented with wide range of options.
Idea for us as we had a long travel day ahead.
No comment to make here.

A great breakfast, well presented with a wide choice.
Got us off for a good start to a long travel day ahead.
No specific improvement noted.

Good, location, lovely surroundings, clean rooms, very friendly staff.
Food disappointing, very varied menu but the food didn’t hit the spot. Room we had was very small and although clean, the bath was very old and needs replacing. Mould on ceiling over shower. Some areas outside need maintenance, loose slabs etc, could be dangerous.

Gorgeous hotel, beautiful location and surroundings. Facilities were great. Beds were super comfortable.
Nothing to dislike at all in terms of the property, it was fantastic. All the staff apart from one were really friendly and helpful. The receptionist upon arrival was grumpy and made us feel we were being a nuisance when checking in!

The location is idyllic. Rooms are very comfortable and big. Surroundings are amazing.
Our room was too close to the bar so at night I could hear people talking and laughing

Set in peaceful countryside.
Run down. I didn't expect that a superior room would have a loose toilet seat, the soap dish hanging out of the wall in the shower, no water at all from the hot tap in the hand basin, or the handle on the bathroom door loose. One bath towel and one hand towel between 2 people isn't good enough. Very poor lighting in the public stairway because one of the lights wasn't working, which cannot have gone unnoticed by staff.

The room was 3 sets of stairs no lift or anyone to help us except the receptionist that carried one hand luggage. The room was freezing until she put air con on. We only had one bath towel and one hand towel.no were to put products in shower. The pillows were not good.We had dinner with 2 guests in your restaurant my husband’s Gamon was over cooked and dry we told the young man didn’t even get an apology. Breakfast was a shambles waiting either for eggs or bacon or other products they kept running out of.We were so looking forward to staying in your beautiful house and all the above was a big disappointment and we paid over 300 pounds for this.

The location and the food/restaurant were absolutely lovely.
Unfortunately we didn't get the room we were expecting. The room was in an unacceptable state. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, spiders and bugs everywhere. Hair grips and dirt on the floor. We paid for 4 poster room and it was disgusting. Reception didn't seem surprised or even bothered when we told them which is concerning. We had to request another room ourselves. Only room available was smallest double which surprisingly was in a nicer state. Very tight but was nicer and clean so we stayed in it.
We were here for our 5 year anniversary and our first night away from our baby so was anxious enough and to walk into that room was so disheartening. No one should be in that room until they fix it up.
On our checkout, we were offered £20 refund but for the price we paid, we don't think this is enough. I am looking to put a complaint in to the hotel but since we left, their website seems to be unreachable everytime I try to get on.
Photos ive uploaded are all the 4 poster bedroom.

Breakfast ok. Dining room could be a bit more inviting and uplifting. A little soft music will help one to feel more comfortable and relaxed while eating.
I did not like the atmosphere of the conservatory and dining room. Very bland and cold.
4.5
The staff and the cleaning staff were very helpful, the cleaning staff especially. They came and changed our bedsheets immediately when we asked them. The food at breakfast was nice. Beautiful location.
There was no granary bread at breakfast (only standard white or brown bread). The shower didn't work when we arrived, and we needed to ask at reception to have it fixed. Even after fixing it was still quite cold. The breakfast was lovely but not worth the price.

In my opinion Room was only 2 star.window very small with no view and toilet area not comfortable for a person my size,ok for a child to use.room 301 is to close to a door that bangs every time someone opens it!.

Some staff were quite surly, room was adequate, bed comfy but pillows poor, food was only ok and dinner expensive

Beautiful location in very lovely grounds.
Unfortunately our room was directly above a power unit which made an extraordinary amount of noise all night. I'm beginning to think that Booking.com rooms have a cross on the doors as they always seem to be the least comfortable rooms.

The location is excellent, you have the entire country park at your doorstep, it's just breat taking. Waking up in the morning and looking over the fields is just something else. What a hidden gem this place is
I loved everything, can't complain

The vast green ground ❤️. The dinner was also quite lovely, although took about an hour to arrive & few of the items from menu were missing, may be because we booked quite late (around 8.30 PM) & there was a wedding party going on in the private area, not sure if that caused any delay. The staffs were helpful as well.
I booked a family room & a double room. On the day of arrival, I received a call from the hotel asking about whether I need an extra bed which they will charge £20 extra. Now, I had booked for 2 adults & 2 kids (10 & 5 years) then why do we have to pay extra for bed? Finally all 4 of us slept on one single king size bed.
