The room was lovely with a great garden to access. It was brilliant as we had our dog with us, but you wouldn't know it was a dog friendly room. It was really clean and smelt lovely. Our dog was left a bed, dog bowls and a bag of goodies which was a nice touch. Breakfast was individually cooked to order and was delicious. The porridge was fab. Highly recommend, would definitely go back. Thanks team.
Nothing other than it rained heavily but can't do anything about that!

Lovely building and surroundings large room friendly staff

Location is very good- near plenty of attractions whilst in an idyllic setting away from the main road. The evening meal was good. Breakfast buffet was OK. All the food was edible and good quality.
The public rooms on the ground floor have piped music which was played at a volume which made it audible (particularly the base) in the room above (our bedroom) so it wasn’t as tranquil and relaxing as anticipated.

Dinner. The food provided was delicious.

The historical building . The bedroom was superb- best was so comfortable. Barbi was exceptionally helpful.
Nothing - however I found the English breakfast too much for me !

Manor was lovely, well done hotel in an old building. Grounds were also lovely and a pleasure to enjoy. We did take a walk to the neighboring little village, which was a nice option for a different meal.
The property is very remote, and we didn't have a car so we were stuck. The restaurant required 2 or 3 courses, which I didn't like.

We had a lovely stay in the Cotswolds at Charingworth Manor. We used it as a base for cycling and exploring local villages for the weekend and it was great to come back to a lovely hotel. The chef was excellent and we really enjoyed the dinner and drinks menu. There are some nice outdoor seating areas and indoor lounges for drinks. The room was very comfortable and quiet - we got a great nights sleep. The pool was nice, although no hot tub. We would recommend staying here
There is a patio right outside the pool that would be perfect for a hot tub with a view. The pool also only had a couple of seats around so not an easy place to just relax - some very easy little improvements that could be made to add luxury and make it a great place to relax.

The location and the food were both really good
The swimming pool showers were dirty, hair in the plughole it was obvious they are not cleaned daily so we mentioned it and someone came to clean them. However the shower floors need renewing.
Our bedroom was very tired looking. Marks on the bathroom window sill and bedroom ceiling. Some of the younger staff did not know what a Mocktail was and brought the Cocktail menu.
Being called "guys" by younger staff is not suitable for two retired women. It is obvious staff are not trained fully before working with customers. The meals were good but in general the standards at Charingworth Manor have slipped over the years. It is a great shame to leave your hotel with the feeling of disappointment not fulfilment

Staff were great, Especially the restaurant/bar manager. Very kind. The hotel itself was stunning.
The sheep toy in the room felt a little forced especially since I was traveling with kids.

amazing location and great building
the staff were not attentive enough , I had to chase them to get us a drink and I accepted better service from a 4 star hotel , also I asked for a certain beer and they disguised it in a glass but it wasn’t the beer I wanted very disappointed

It was all very very good

Location, views. Lovely garden. Staff very helpful and pleasant.
Bathroom - needs updating; sink about a foot higher then normal and lighting bad. Shower in the bath, very high off the ground. Not suitable for older people.
Furniture more appropriate for traveller's lodge than an historic 'country house hotel'.

We loved the hotel. It was tasteful, comfortable and the facilities were really good. Breakfast was excellent.
When we booked, it stated the hotel was dog friendly in the basic description of aspects the hotel was able to offer. There was no indication anywhere that you had to put in a special request for your dog to come also. It merely said 'dog friendly ' with an image of a paw print. When we arrived, we were told very directly that it would cost us an extra £30 a day to have our dog in the room. This £30 a day (£120 total), covered the cost of the receptionist laying down a mat and 2 dog bowls in our room. Stuff which we had already brought as there was no information advising us about this charge. When we told the receptionist that we were totally unaware of the charge and in spite of receiving repetitive confirmation emails advising us to book for dinner etc from the hotel direct, and having looked on booking.com and also found absolutely no mention of this charge, it was clear we didn't have any choice but to pay or leave. It was a bad start to the stay and had we known about the extra £30 a day, we probably would not have brought our pet but at this point it was too late. Our situation was met with a little hostility which was a shame as we had just arrived and first impressions were everything.

The location is excellent for exploring the countryside. The included breakfast is very tasty, seemingly endless and so much choice. A comfortable drawing room. Fantastic room service and customer service.
For a deluxe double room having two single beds pushed together, with a dip in the middle, took the "deluxe" shine off. The pool is large enough but not the warmest. Thin walls (could hear the bedroom next to me)

Christmas pudding was really bad. Not many french wines

Exceptional, plenty to choose from, staff very helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Our 9 year old Grandson loved helping his self.
It couldn't have been better, it was above our expectations.

The staff were helpful and accommodating. Good communication throughout or stay.
The room was generic and without personality. The breakfast was below par for a hotel of this status and setting.

Lovely relaxing break in the Cotswolds. The hotel is in a wonderful location and has a lovely pool, food was delicious and staff friendly.
Hotel is tired, we had a downstairs room and the people in the room above us must’ve been tap dancing in the early hours as the floorboard were creaking terribly. Food was delicious but wineglasses and cutlery very ordinary. A little update and coat of paint would go a long way.

everything
the restaurant and bar manager
very rude comment when we arrived when we told him where we were from
then when we in the bar with another couple telling us to keep the noise down because there were guests above when we looked in morning there is no room above bar
also said we couldn’t have anymore drinks
wouldn’t want him to work for me
6.0
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great location. Breakfast was nice, gym and pool facilities were an added extra.
The one thing that really spoiled our trip was the noise from the room above. When the guests above us walked anywhere we heard an extremely loud banging. It woke me up both mornings (at 6am the second morning of our stay) and it was impossible to relax in our room in the evening while the roof rattled. I really don’t think the bottom floor rooms should be used for guests until they are better soundproofed. It was not at all what we expected from such a quality hotel.
