Breakfast wasnt included which was a surprise made worse by the surly manner i was told.

We enjoyed the hotel and spa. We appreciated how the restaurant staff were with the nut allergy. Also, we cannot fault enough the help from the staff when we had issues with locking our room and moving us to a new room. Very lovely stay!
There could have been more of a selection from the breakfast menu, which there is compared to other Hilton's.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Received a welcome cookie and great advice e.g. booking breakfast in advance to save money. Breakfast was excellent, buffet of very high quality and great choice. Room was very comfy and free parking!
On the second morning there were long queues for hot breakfast as they ran out of a lot of foods at the same time. Also the coffee machines weren't always working. Otherwise everything was great :)

Room, restaurant and the staff - especially the staff. Very polite, helpful and cheerful!
The quaint and slightly bizarre accounting practice of apportioning a credit limit to the room, so I had to pay by credit card for one dinner instead of charging it to my room (which is my company's preferred action), as I'd 'run out of credit for charging to the room'.
Never ever experienced that before, in all the Doubletree hotels I stayed at in the US.
Also, extending my stay by booking at reception - no breakfast included (as in the Booking.com reservation) without asking and without explanation.
Caused minor embarrassment at the restaurant, with a further difficult scene involving the assistant Manager, who then saw the light and gave me complimentary breakfast for the remainder of my stay, which was very good of him.

The room was lovely, comfy bed.
Did not think guests should have to pay extra to use the facilities such as the pool, sauna etc.

The breakfast was nice
Disappointed to find out when we got there we couldn’t use the pool facilities as a family and if we did on our own we would have to pay £20 each. This is not advertised well on the advert. The rooms are basic and not very clean.

Spacious and parking facilities were good
Really expensive for what it is..
Having to pay extra to use the pool in top of £326 for just to nights.
We mentioned about booking breakfast on check in but we were told to think about it or just come down…. NO ONE mentioned the extra £10 we would have to pay to eat…£35.90 for two breakfasts is ridiculous and it wasn't anything any different to other hotels..

Location was good and the outside grounds and outdoor terrace were nice.
There seem to be inconsistencies with the standard of the check in people were receiving at reception. Ours was nothing like the people infront of us. We were not asked about any allergies and we were not offered the welcome treats. When we got to our room there was hair in the bed which was immediately reported and the carpet had crumbs and bits of plastic all over it. The following day our room had not been refreshed and clean like we’d ask and again we had to report this.

Its absolutely stunning inside and out, grounds are well maintained. Rooms are modern, beautiful, clean!
Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice.
We got 4 drinks vouchers in total in my sisters’ bedroom to celebrate their 18th birthdays, decorations for a small extra fee. The drinks vouchers were complimentary and such a kind gesture!! Highly recommended for birthday celebrations.

The spa was nice
Room was terrible two single beds joined together to make a double very u comfortable hard mattress… room was extremely hot and stuffy even with the air con on would not go again..
Food was dropped on floor and all over me which was not fun!

Location and the hotel grounds are lovely. A good breakfast.
Corridor carpets were dirty.
Bedroom furniture chipped and stained.
The most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever experienced.
The bar couldn’t even produce a brandy glass.
4.0
Perfect location for access to Chester City Centre and Cheshire Oaks and North Wales. Nice room and plenty of free parking.
I felt there wasn't a very pleasant and comfortable area to sit with a drink in the evening. The booths approaching the bar felt like they were in a corridor, and the only other seating was in the lobby area.

Great staff
Doors banging, noise from corridors most of the night. Room service missing chips arrived 20 minutes later cold.uncomfortable bed.

Stayed here few times and it never disappoints
Quality of some of the breakfast food has gone down slightly

Lovely scenic setting, very clean, friendly staff, helpful staff, nice spa

The hotel is beautifully decorated, spacious and very well laid out. The food in the restaurant was superb.
The spa could have its own entrance and area of the restaurant to make it less awkward for those still wearing robes in the restaurant. For an out of town hotel it is a little pricey.

The exterior was really pretty and the setting calm
The room was slightly disappointing there was no fridge (though description said there would be and we were carrying meds which should have been ina fridge) and the decor was a little shabby in the room

Room was clean, food was good but expensive, most of the staff were as you would expect at a Hilton,
Paying for not a cheap room then paying £40 to go for a swim for two hours, which is extortionate, during the swim we were exposed to an individual who decided to use his phone for 46 mins in the jacuzzi which made my wife and other females feel uneasy and needing to move away fearing being filmed ,when this was raised with staff they said that he was only looking at the internet and it's not Hilton's policy to stop people using their phones around the pool area, clearly the risk of offending a lone individual by asking him to stop using his phone trumps the risk of women being potentially placed at risk, after 45 mins we left the pool area feeling extremely uncomfortable ,still Hilton had it's £40 so apparently that's ok, we have used the same hotel on numerous occasions but no more" even in the bar area it's apparently ok to sit in your robes from the pool' ,standards are slipping as any dress code doesn't appear to apply,

The king size room was 2 single beds which were in serious need of an update as the bed was all scruffy and all the leather tearing away. Furniture outdated and materials coming away. For the price much better value and cleaner to stay in a premier inn. Mould/dirt on the curtain vail they can’t even replace or update that for guests. This room was £166. Lesson learnt.
4.5
Clean comfortable quiet, good choice of breakfast.
4.5
Location beautiful with lovely gardens
Could do with a cafe in spa
2.5
The reception area is lovely as well as the outdoor areas!
Breakfast was great plenty to choose from and filled back up quickly. Bar area was also nice. Plenty of car spaces to park. Staff were friendly on reception. Staff at Breakfast work hard to keep area clean and also restocked.
Room was dated. Carpet had a large rip in the middle of the room. Bed was rock hard. Big gap under the door. Lots of noise from doors slamming. When other rooms used shower/water could hear water running through pipes constantly. Could hear flush from toilet from other rooms- above and next door! Very noisy room!
3.5
Stop off on way to south of England. Nice hotel, friendly staff, cannot comment on food but welcome cookie was delicious. Beds were a bit hard but that's personal preference.
2.5
Staff were very professional and quick to try and fix issues. Bed was very comfortable. Rooms clean. Plenty of parking.
Breakfast was like warm. Hotel refunded the cost. Room service pizza wasn’t very nice. Could have done with feather pillows.
