centre of town / and attached to a pub. really helpful outstanding staff. huge room.
the hotel is located in one of the most beautiful atmospheric cities in Europe surrounded by Roman architecture, but the pub is brightly lit and played loud disco music even when empty. completely at odds with the surrounds.

The staff are really well trained, resulting in efficient friendly service.
The room was an excellent size.
The keyring, it's huge. Took the key off to go out.

Location is excellent, as the hotel is right in the centre of Chester and there are a couple of car parking options nearby.
We parked at Delamere Street Car Park which cost us £9.50 for 24 hours which we thought was good value.
The room we booked was quite big and there was plenty of space although we only stayed the one night.
The room was very clean.
There was tea and coffee in the room although you have to ask at the bar for your milk.
Bar is quite big and of course it is in the centre of Chester is used by the general public and not just hotel guests.
Service was very good at the bar, even when busy.
It is an old building so a little tired but was clean as indicated above.
Our shower cubicle was quite small.

location is excellent , although we did not eat the food it did look good and the bar area is nice
Room looked a bit tired. Bathroom need’s attention, very slippery ,no non slip mat, curtains hanging off.Had the large corner room. 1 teabag, no bottled water. Totally understand that it’s city centre but for £162 per night could put some bottled water in room and an extra teabag with a biscuit it’s the small things that people remember.

Great Central Hotel, huge comfortable room with drink making facilities and a fridge. Breakfast was extra but excellent food all cooked to order. Second visit, will stay again. Staff very friendly.
All great...no lift so be prepared to carry luggage up stairs. No car parking attached but fairly close.

I liked the size of the bedroom.
I was woken up about 6:30 am by delivery of the beer barrels for about an hour and a half, no heating didn't sleep all night due to the coldness and none of the wall plugs worked.
Optionally I tried the iron , no joy.

Very friendly, helpful staff. There’s a separate access door available for the rooms so you don’t have to go through the pub. Great location central to Chester. Large, clean room, quiet during the night.

The Coach house Were more than accommodating for us as a family, From the size of the room right through to breakfast, (we didn't take the breakfast only because we had dinner booked for 12pm) the kids did and mine are fussy eaters! They really loved it! Nothing was too much trouble at all !
We had a BRILLIANT one night stay as a family of 4! We love Chester therefore this will now be our go to hotel due to the price and all the staff. Thank you from the Roberts's :)
Nothing to dislike at all in our opinion! don't hesitate to book this hotel! you wont be disappointed if your looking for a nice/ convenient stay with decent breakfast

DJ playing till 11 at night with a bar below despite hotel being listed as a restaurant, room supplied with earplugs it’s that bad.
Didn’t stay the night due to not being able to sleep, told nothing could be done after being charged for the room as the issue wasn’t raised before we left.
