Some youths were having a party in a room below ours. Very loud music and yelling. We went to reception to complain. No one was there. (8pm)We could not sleep and had to move to another hotel for the night at an extra cost of $142.

Had to use a GPS or Google to find your way out so many little streets otherwise close to all amenities
They don,t service room every day but they supply what ever you need which suited us.
On the side of the hill, not good if you have to use a stick that was our only problem getting luggage to car. Other wise all good

The view was great from the 2nd floor
There was no bench in the room or a toaster.

The size of the room was excellent. The location was central to the CBD.
The rooms were not well cleaned. The bathroom was clean, but the taps and shower were not well maintained. We needed to move a bed to find a missing personal item, and it was clear that under the beds was not cleaned regularly.

Reception service was friendly and helpful

The receptionist could not have been more helpful and it was only her third day. The room looked recently refurbished and was a good standard, although the exterior had seen better days.
The problem we had with one of the rooms was the air-con was not working, I realise this sort of thing can happen, but it became apparent when the engineer was called by the lady in reception is that it was a known problem. He immediately suggested rebooting the heat pump. It started the unit, but it went down again within 5 minutes and the same happened again. The room was unbearable without it as it was ground floor so the windows could not be left open overnight. We felt that this should have been highlighted when we checked in. Despite having a microwave no plates etc were supplied, we had to get them from reception.

Close to Launceston CBD. Our room was a ground floor, so not too many stairs to negotiate. Room was OK and had had a recent makeover. (the room next door had a tradie grinding away when we arrived who thankfully didn't stay too long).
The hotel was a lot older and tired than the photos displayed. The car park was a real pain because some bits had a 15 degree slope and meant wrestling with your luggage getting it in and out of the car. It also meant we got a big ding in our rental car as someone next to us let their door swing into ours (it was easily done). Hotel is at the top of a hill, which meant although it wasn't a huge walk into town it meant it was really not practical unless you felt really energetic, especially for dining out. Was discounted but not enough in my opinion.

Information on their tourist information was way out of date. Food places their recommended had been closed for over a year.

Great location. Stayed a week and was pleased with our choice of accommodation. Super friendly staff on check in and was just as pleased here as our stays at their sister properties Fox & Hounds in Port Arthur and Allurity in Hobart CBD.
Disregard the other reviews that mention the hill. Yes there’s a slope but it is certainly not a drama walking around the property and if myself and my assistance dog are capable of walking up it from trips down to City Park and back up in one go then I’m sure most normal folk will be fine.

Location, location. Every thing on arrival went smooth. Many thanks.
10 emails, they tended to be repetitious. No sure whether they originated from Coachhouse or Booking.com. Or both?
