Good location for Cateract Gourge and good value for money
No fault of property but arrived on a Bank Holiday that was totally unexpected and for a tourist a nuisance. Had laugh with locals about this.
4.1
It was close to Cataract Gorge and near to the waterfront. Nearby eating places too. The beds were comfortable. I thought I was a bit unsafe to have a heater near the washbasin in the bathroom. Other than that I am satisfied and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
It can be quite noisy from the pub across the street especially for those going to bed early.

We had a great stay here, very central location, lovely staff, free parking, nice and clean. Beautiful heritage building with bucket loads of character. Minutes away from restaurants and parks which made for some perfect evening walks with the kids.
The shower was very sensitive, it was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Not much in between!

Location and was great as we had a function there and my partner had access to room due to him having operation 2 wks
The noise from the upper floor. Needs better sound proving. Extra bench in the room to put your case on

Walking distance to the city and UTAS to watch the football game. The restaurants and local hotels were good and provided good service at a reasonable price.
We were in a two bedroom apartment over the weekend and were not told that the apartment s would not be serviced during the weekend. This information should have been explained to us on arrival or listed on the information sheet that was provided to us.
Example of where this created a problems for us was that we put our used towels in the bathtub so we would get fresh towels as the sticker on the bathroom stating, 'In keeping with our commitments to care for the environment and reduce our water pollution, we offer you the following: 1. Place your towelling in the bathtub/shower for daily laundering (normal service). 2. Hang your towels on the towel rack if you choose to allow them to dry for re-use.
So we place our towels in the bathtub to get fresh towels as there were limited ability to hang four towels off one towel rack only to received a phone call later in the day stating that our room will not be serviced as the apartments are not serviced over the weekend and if we needed fresh towels then we had to be back at the reception before 7 o'clock to collect fresh towels or we would have to use the towels that had been placed in the bathtub in accordance with the information provided.
If you are not going to service the apartments over the weekend, clearly articulate this when guests arrive. Also either remove the sticker telling guest to leave their towels in the bathtub if they want new towels or amend it to state this does not happen over the weekend.
Also there were limited ability to hang clothes in the bedrooms or the bathroom. A few simple hooks on the back of the doors would have been appreciated.

Great value

Unfortunately none of the adventure activities at the amusement Park were working, but we had a good view of the cliff climb outside our window. Apartment not fancy but warm and cosy. Kitchen functional.
Suited our needs well

It’s fun and cute, something different.
Can be noisy but appreciated the ear plugs that were provided.

The scenery was amazing the room was ok bed was comfortable and it was great to have a microwave in the room to heat things up
Apart from the rail in the bathroom near the toilet was too low they need to be moved up higher

The fact that the smoke alarm went off when we used the toaster

Clean and tidy.
Stayed upstairs above reception, no ramp access for pram or people with lower osteoarthritis that cannot walk properly.

Location excellent for walking to Cataract Gorge. Rooms clean and fair price.
Rooms a little dark.

The bathroom was the highlight. Bed was super comfy.
We could very clearly hear every detail of the conversation from the people occupying the adjacent room.

The proximity to rock and park
It advertised a restaurant but they were booked out

It’s architecture
Stairs. Would have preferred ground floor

The room and location were great. Loads of character and quirks. Quick to walk into the city and find everything I needed. A comfortable bed and great shower - what more do you need in a room!
The only disappointing occurrence during my stay were noisy guests at the hotel restaurant. I wasn't able to sleep until midnight and I had a early start the next day.

It was well priced and clean
There was nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom. The 2 flights of stairs were a bit much with our luggage..

The restaurant was very handy and the food was great. Great position, close to everything in the city.
Shower, noise.

The location close to Cataractt Gorge
When booking in April travelling to Tasmania for 2 weeks holiday.
Booking.com had cost of Queen studio appartment for 2 nights $304.
Was charged $639 lady at reception told us the prices were hiked up due to a major V8 super car event.
Learnt our lesson and wont happen again to us for nextt ? Tassie holiday.. Will check before we book!

Very clean and close to town
I don't think it looked the same. Unfortunately, there were stairs everywhere and we found them steep the water was very noisy at night

comfortable, good location

The hotel looks just like the pictures from the outside but that’s it. Room was clean
The room inside looks nothing like the pictures that are shown it was a dungeon tiny window at the front of the room that overlooks the car park which had to be close as people could see inside when they walk past. This was the most expensive room on the trip and the worst. Wouldn’t recommend
4.1
two separate bedrooms
the cooking facility didn’t work

shower rail and shower curtain needs replacing

I had a room above the car park (full view) and in front of the Sunday theme park attraction. Although you get a parking permit slip, parking was a problem on the Sunday with an event going on on the premises. The reception was 200 mts down the road. The room was clean but dated and grim. I escaped from the room to walk to the gorge (lovely Sequoia tree on the walk). The next morning I left my room really early as it was too depressing, and to the right found the long walk alongside the Tamar river (great Juice Bar on the way) which passed alongside parks and boats. The walks were the best thing to do in the circumstances. Jill

Close to Adventure Park
Our room was directly behind the Tavern and the live music kept us awake well into the night. Also the room was very “ light” due to the street lights and Tavern lights on all night. The simple white blinds could be easily replaced by black out blinds.

location
a bit run down now

close to city and cataract gorge. Air conditioning in both bedrooms.
Lots of stairs both outside and inside 2 bed apartment. bedrooms were small. No place for dishes to dry or drying rack. very small kitchenette.
