Good value accommodation food and drinks .

We had a great room with large modern tv and a deep bath. Lots of free parking and breakfast was excellent with loads of room and pleasant staff
3.8
Lovely old place with good train linkd
The place is a bit run down, needs decorating and the food was nothing special for the pricr.

Bed
Wifi intermittent - one night no connection was available
3.8
Comfortable room
Friendly efficient staff
Usually nice restaurant had several noisy tables of drinkers
First time we have had breakfast there but it was cold, as was the water to make tea

rooms were very clean, warm and comfortable. staff were very friendly and the price was great value for money. Breakfast was very tasty too with a good choice.
I liked everything although the only very slight issue was the pillows being to thick as a pair but not thick enough as one!! this is a personal opinion so everyone will be different

Staff friendly and helpful, good food in the pub with generous portions, beer's good too. Excellent location with easy access to the motorway
While the room was perfectly adequate if a little tired, the reception area was scruffy and littered with broken kettles and used coffee cups. The free wifi was non existent. When you logged on you just got the dot at the bottom of the wifi symbol and that kept flickering off leaving you offline. When asked the staff confirmed that the wifi was rubbish, that they were hoping to get boosters in. I cancelled my second night, which had been prepayed, and they promised to refund me. I haven't received it yet. You shouldn't advertise free wifi in every room if you don't have it.

My room was always clean, when I got back.
The hotel is more like a maze.
3.8
Good clean basic accommodation with excellent bar and restaurant facilities.
Issue with shower. Low cold water pressure at the bath meant that the shower could not be used. Hot water was scalding hot.
3.8
The bed was fantastic, we both slept very well
The hotel was great, public toilets in the pub not so great

Everything went very well. Excellent value for money, lovely breakfast, very good, and very pleasant staff, lovely bed.
No complaints at all

Our room was lovely and spacious, comfy bed, lovely to have a bath as well as the shower (over the bath) with good water pressure. There was a fan in the room too, necessary while it was so hot. The hotel is like a rabbit warren with so many fire doors and corridors and the room numbers don't go in the order you expect, which added to the fun the first few times we went up and down all the stairs (no lift). But it was lovely and quiet and the reception staff really helpful.
All the stairs!! After days of walking around a festival site (Car Fest) my knees and blisters really didn't like all the stairs! We were on the second or third floor - never did work out which! A real shame for us that there was no electric charge point (although there is one in the Tesco two minutes away).

Lovely spacious room (Simpson Suite).
Breakfast was very tasty - clearly well thought out local ingredients.
All staff we had interactions with very friendly and informative
Our room was up a fair amount of floors and stairs. We were warned haha!

Good location to visit family.
Have stayed several times and rooms ok,
but not good this time. Window opened about 5
inches to the side, and room directly facing
into sun. So hot in there, so asked for fan, and
was given two! It did help a bit, but with two of
us sharing just a double bed it was still difficult
to sleep. On our return the next day one fan had
been removed, so less comfortable.
The lack of fresh cool air!
We were staying for three nights, so not very
refreshing sleep.
Would not return again unless we could upgrade
to a better room.

Location was ideal

bed was very comfortable
the shower was a bit fiddly

Shame a family with two children under 3 had to walk up 100 stairs to get to their bedroom! And then discovered
Two double beds in a family room
Family room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay
3.8
The beds were clean and extremely comfortable - best night's sleep I have had in ages.
The bathroom needs updating.
The carpet was clean.
We could have slept 4 of us which, for the money, was great. It was quiet and ample parking.
The bathroom!
The staff could be friendlier.
