This hotel is a happy place for us and we like to stay when attending festivals or agricultural events. We are treated like long lost friends and we are always delighted with every aspect.

The pool and gym bedroom was okay apart from the bathroom.
Cracked tiles and orange mound in bathroom, workmen leaving hotel noisily at 6 am

The food was ok
I didn't like the fact that I paid for the hotel stay, but I had to pay again to enter the small gym and swimming pool. I haven't seen such a situation anywhere else. The staff at the pool and gym were very unpleasant. Me and my friends will never go there again

Everything was decent for the price. My room was clean the bed was comfy bed. Gym and pool facilities were decent for the price
Breakfast was poor. Buffet cooked food was dry and not a lot of it was left by 8.40am. No fruit and poor selection of cereal

Location was lovely staff were very accommodating especially with the circumstances of arriving later than planned. Had the room equipped with cot ready for baby and we’re fine with the dogs staying with us too.
A little rust in the bath and the lamps loose on the wall. Apart from that lovely room and would stay again. Very good for the money.

The location was great and the room was spacious and comfortable.
I had to pay for myself and my kids to use the pool which is not mentioned on Booking.com and I also was not allowed all 3 of my children in the pool at the same time despite them all being strong swimmers. It cost me £12.50 just to use the pool for one hour, unfortunately 2 of my sons only got 30 mins in the pool as they had to take turns. The whole reason we booked to stay here was to make use of the pool. For that reason I would not book here again. It ruined our trip.

All the food was good, the room was clean and fresh, the dining staff were very attentive.
Nothing, the experience was the same as the last time that we stayed there.excellent.

Breakfast was like rubber and tasted like it was reheated, staff in the restaurant was rude as they said we hadn't booked in but we had and there was also a few others who had same issue.
Also shows photos of swimming pool but had to pay extra to use it

The leisure facilities are great.
It's a little worn and needs upgrading, like many older hotels can get a bit hot during the night and doesn't have air con.

Location
Uncomfortable pillows and beds. No pressure in the shower, shower head leaking. No daily or room service at all. I stayed 3 nights/4 days, had to clean and empty bins in the room myself. Smoke alarm was on at 6am ( I don't smoke).
It was police incident outside the hotel in the car park, group of drunk men were having a party.
Gym - you have to pay 5 pounds, but equipment is so old, you can't do anything but weights. Hotel is very very outdated. Rooms - very outdated.

reception staff very good, whole place is rather tired, but its cheap.
The food, both breakfast and dinner was really poor. Just don't eat here would be my advice. A shame that you have to pay for the pool, but that's an option. Beds need replacing.
