room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful
the location, too far from everything

I really enjoyed my stay here. Location was good, just a few minutes walk to the center of everything. The staff here were EXCELLENT. My arrival flight was so severely delayed and had to cancel a pre-booked taxi. They were able to arrange last minute pick up and transportation to the hotel. They helped with translations, recommendations, booking shuttles to and from the next towns, basically anything I needed. Wifi worked well and I enjoyed breakfasts in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again.
Room was smaller than I expected, but I was quite comfortable and had a pretty awesome view

the beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom were nice. the AC was very quiet and worked perfect. the private balcony. The staff was was helpful and friendly. the courtyard was very inviting, shaded and sorrounded by plants
the location seemed to be along a bus route and the exhaust smell was strong at times. The noise outside started early, but the AC neurtralized a good part of the noise

awesome breakfast! awesome staff! lovely terrace, short walk from town but away from the craziness! Love that you can book the volcano tour through them as well as shuttles to airport & other villages, they should deff advertise that before you book, I had no idea till AFTER I booked that they offered these things. Bonus they have AC
Wish the room was a tad bigger, but I understand this is a third world country.

Very sweet hotel. Loved my stay. Simple and clean. I spent a different tonight at another hotel that was much more expensive and regretted it. Was very happy with the quality of this place for this price point.
Bathroom was a little smelly!

Staff were outstanding, above and beyond in communication, helping with tours and transport, etc.
Best ever breakfast included: great presentation and decent variety
Rooms are good size
Location 4 blocks walk away and felt safe throughout, even at night
This is just knit picking:
Shower sometimes loses pressure and temperature - we think it was when someone else was using the shower at the same time you just need to wait out. Also, showers are a problem across Guatemala
Wifi was spotty at times - I was working from 3am Guatemala time and until 5am wifi was coming and going
There were only 2 plugs and you had to move the beds to use them but we worked around them

Value and location! But it's only about 5 blocks from the square so we had no problem walking to different attractions. It's also on the edge of the old town which typically means bigger room and easier parking. The host is also very kind to let us park the car for one extra day for our overnight volcano tours (for $10). You just have to let them know ahead of time

very nice hostal, very cozy and warm. room was great with a beautiful view in back if the volcano! I loved the window nook to sit on or put stuff on + the built in desk. Comfy bed, very clean and the bathroom had nice shampoo, conditioner and soap!
Good breakfast and nice patio seating
it was a bit farther from the center...like a 10 minute walk...not sooo far but at night, as a solo woman it felt farther.

breakfast was great and the staff was nice.
bathroom smelled very musty and water pressure was bad

room 16 is big and has a big bathroom with a lot of hot shower. the garden is very nice and the thermal bath also. women doing service are very nice but the man is doing minimal service…
old and overprice but a lot of hotel on Atitlan are like that. breakfast is also minimal quality. The biggest problem is Panajachel city that is an horrible city to stay. it is full of very cheap tourists shop and once our are on the street they jump on you to try to sell you boat trip or merchandise. go to other smaller village it is more charming

The staff was really friendly. They helped us with everything. They booked us several trips.
It was clean and comfortable.
There was no hairdryer and the water was only sometimes hot like in every hotel in Guatemala.

This hotel is amazing, such a nice vibe! I would stay again. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and it was so nice to have a bath! I loved the window bay seat looking over the volcanos. Breakfast was so delicious and the staff were so friendly!
I recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper because noise can be heard between the rooms if someone is being loud. Everyone at the hotel was respectful, and it was not a party scene - it's just that the walls were a little thin for light sleepers :-)
