The property is spacious and has lovely views. The location is quiet with plenty to do within a short drive. Communication with the host was disappointing as no messages were answered and there is no BBQ on site, despite it being listed in the property details.
Something to be aware of for future guests-the floorboards are extremely noisy and all movement can be heard throughout the house.

Had a fabulous weekend, the house was clean, big grounds, comfortable layout of the house. Only few minor details - no amenities in showers and only one hairdryer for the whole house

Stayed for a long weekend for a family rememberance and celebration. Great size house with lovely proportioned rooms that met the needs of all generations. The house was generally clean and well equiped. However, it is in our opinion beginning to appear tired and could benefit from some updateing. For example the towels were all looking slightly grey and quite thin. The sofas in the main sitting room were not very comfertable. Whilst there was plenty of cutlery and crockery not that much mtached and was cheap. The weekend we were there it snowed and was very cold and while there were two log burners there was no kindling when we arrived although the owner did supply a bag the next morning, we would also have run out of wood if we had them both going all weekend. The Bloom and Stay folder desperately needs updating, its is poor condition and seriously lacking in useful info, All this said we had a fab weekend, the room sizes and bathroom facilities were excellent and the host was extremely welcoming

We had a wonderful time at the Chestnuts. Lovely spacious house, friendly, helpful owners and magnificent location . We woke up each day to views over the fields and horses grazing at the fence!
We were a family of 23 and this place felt like our home for the weekend.

Very good location, very spacious including the outbuildings, great for walks, getting to Canterbury (15 min drive), to the north downs walks and other locations in Kent.

Lovely house for a special 70th birthday surprise
We had a lovely stay at Chesnuts. we had a small problem with the fridge not working when we arrived but the owners live accross from the house and helped us. The garden was great for the kids, had a hose so perfect for a paddling pool. All rooms were well equipped

A wonderful family Christmas
We stayed at the chestnuts from 23rd to 30th December.
Our 3 children & partners & 4 grandchildren & a friend, it is the perfect house for a family get together.
Unfortunately we could not book the weather, it rained the whole week, but the house is big enough to cope with us all.
Paula & Martin (the owners) were very friendly & helpful if we needed anything.

Great stay
We booked this as a family holiday home for a week. The host was very accommodating. Everyone loved it. I would book this again. It's worth the money.

Kent retreat
Chestnuts house and barns were perfect size for our group. Our “even better if” would be: decent cooking pans to reflect number of guests; maybe curtains in the bedrooms to reduce sunlight in the mornings and most importantly decent garden furniture. The bench provided broke with two members of our family sitting on it - on inspection it was rotten through at the joints and unfortunately the concrete seating had a large crack so we avoided using that all week.
The staff at Bloom Stays were very helpful with our booking and customer service and the owners were helpful on site.
Would use again.
