Our stay was comfortable check in was ok could have been a bit more friendly but all other times we interacted with front desk was very friendly and helpful our room was spotless and very comfortable the restaurant's evening menu was was a bit limited but breakfast was excellent with a great choice to fill you up staff at breakfast were fantastic check out was quick and simple will return in the future

Have stayed at the mill many times, always a pleasant stay clean rooms good beds and a excellent breakfast
4.3
This is our second visit, we booked the room using Tesco vouchers. Disappointed in the room, felt like we were in the smallest room in the hotel, and it was due to how we booked the hotel ! when you get out the lift it is not even numbered!
We were woke at 6.00 am by the noise of the traffic .
Our last visit room amazing breakfast amazing however our breakfast was very disappointing and not hot.
We had an evening meal in the restaurant due to the weather and it was absolutely delicious.

Check in all good, bar staff just need to know there allergy’s I checked and I could have the crisps they said wasn’t gf but only a minor niggle.
Breakfast service brilliant waiter knowledgeable and very helpful with allergies it really does make all the difference. Shame sausages aren’t gluten free. Only criticism was Room was very warm
4.3
Short stay in Chester and this hotel was ok. Staff were friendly and helpful, the bar area was nice too. My room was a little dated but it was clean and comfortable
4.3
Enjoyable stay, great facilities and friendly staff, great service. Leisure facilities were excellent. Good state of general cleanliness but some cobwebs on the bedroom ceiling. Would definitely recommend.
4.3
My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel to visit my granddaughter who is a student in Chester. I booked a twin room but were given a family room which was lovely and had plenty of space. Would definitely stay there again.
4.3
Very good hotel ,stayed many time .
4.3
Good value for the price we paid. Room was a little nosiy as next to the main road but it was fine. Found a few stray hairs in the bathroom that weren't ours, but we like this hotel, it's convenient for the city centre and also has a pool and spa. Breakfast was also good, help yourself.
4.3
Reley injoy the stay it was that good we stayed 1 extra night
4.3
We stayed on the 21stvof September and couldn’t fault a single thing everything was lovely ,and staff are amazing , unfortunately our trains home the next day were cancelled so we booked another night , and got given another room unfortunately this room didn’t look very clean at all and we had to ask the staff to change the bedding as it wasn’t clean , they did this no problem but we were quite disappointed with the room 😞
4.3
We have been here before, and really enjoyed our stay again...only downside as last time is the WiFi....apart from that it's great. Staff are always friendly and eager to help.
4.3
Pleased with everything
4.3
Rooms do not have air con only a stand alone fan which is very noisy. Could not sleep with window open due to road noise. Saying that we would stay again but woud request a room away from the road.
4.3
Room was nothing like it showed in the photos. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room was very old and tiny. Bathroom was very old and had a big crack in the sink. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Couldn’t say anything bad about them
4.3
The Mills have seen better days and needs a severe renovation - unfortunately at its current state it is very worn out. However it is a nice hotel - breakfast could be better though and the dinning hall is small and often crowded. A little expensive for the standard.
4.3
Hotel and town was good
Weather could have been better
4.3
The journey from reception/restaurant to our room was rather long - two lift journeys and a walk across a bridge; unfortunately one of the lifts was out of order so we had to walk up three flights of stairs. Unfortunately my wife is not very mobile and struggled a bit. I don't remember anything during the booking process that mentioned that we could request a room on a low floor.
4.3
From the welcoming of the staff to leaving, our stay was lovely.
The breakfast and evening meal was very good.
The room was a bit outdated, beds and pillows uncomfortable so not much sleep.
All staff were lovely and very helpful
4.3
Just average stay, but for £115 with an additional £12 for parking, I’ve stayed in nicer rooms in Chester.
Room 509 was very small, small double, dated and basic bathroom with just a car park view.
Staff were nice and breakfast and pool area was a nice bonus but wouldn’t book again.
4.3
The hotel was lovely and the spa facilities excellent. Parking was available at a charge. Breakfast OK. The room was uncomfortably hot with only a fan for ventilation
4.3
We had a really good overnight stay.
4.3
Excellent location
Good price
Friendly staff
Only downside you have to pay for parking if you don't book direct with the hotel
4.3
The hotel could be good but was tired. The rooms were unbearably hot. Fortunately we asked to be moved and had a room with air con.
The breakfast was very disappointing and the dinner was just ok.
4.3
The staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was fairly standard, but only small oranges for fresh fruit. Also no plain yoghurt. The twin beds were pushed together with no way to move them apart because of the large pipes, attractive as part of the original mill building, but prevented movement of beds. Apart from that all was good, great location for walking into the walled old town
4.3
The hotel is good and a great location. But! The room was far too hot and if the window was open there was lots of road noise. Very uncomfortable. So glad to get home to get some sleep. Would not stay again
4.3
City centre hotel, with pool and gym facilities. 5/10 min walk into the centre. Paid Parking on site. Although a little tired, the hotel was clean, and the Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was top notch.
4.3
Good location, breakfast was good and friendly staff. Bath was lovely in the room. Bed was hard and pillows, would be nice to have softer pillows. Balcony view of canal was disappointing, couldnt see the canal on the fifth floor.
4.3
Good location, fantastic staff and service. Lovely food. Looking forward to coming back.
4.3
Room was too small for a double and a single bed, no wardrobe, no A/C just a table fan that was so noisy you couldnt sleep if it was on, sink was dirty and we had to call services, hair's around nbase of toilet ,no water on the hottest day of the year, breakfast was luke warm and the coffee undrinkable.
No Netflix or prime.
We had booked two nights but only lasted one!
4.3
Overall a lovely stay. Room was a little dated and tired. Bathroom very clean but dated
4.3
Solo trip
Mattress to my liking but pillows slightly flat
Overall reasonable , sofa and room decor quite worn/dated but was only a overnight stay so not concerned
4.3
We had a lovely clean comfortable room overlooking the canal. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient.
4.3
Chose The Mill hotel as stayed there last year and we were impressed by hotel and level of service. Disappointed by our room this time - rather small and stuffy on a hot summers night. However we were provided with a fan. Were very happy with the service, leisure club was excellent, breakfast was good -would definitely stay again when visiting Chester.
4.3
Excellent hotel & staff. Room fabulous and spacious. Wouldn’t stop anywhere else. Great hotel. Breakfast fabulous.
4.3
Some rooms much bigger and better than others. Also some very near a busy road. Staff very helpful in resolving problems
4.3
Lovely staff, gorgeous room, would definitely recommend
4.3
Good stay in general as convenient location to city centre and train station. But room was hot and uncomfortable as no air conditioning, although staff did provide a fan that helped a little. Would not stay at this hotel in summer.
4.3
Pleasant hotel within walking distance from the railway station.
Arrived early and was able to get into the room.
Used the pool and the gym.
Breakfast was buffet style and was good.
Room was very clean. Had what you needed.
4.3
Really good. I was a solo traveller so had a smaller room than my 2friends but it had a balcony and bath with shower. Food etc great, small outdoor area but loved bar area. Would stay again
