A very good location to visit this historical town and a pleasant stay at this hotel.
There is one problem, as many other guests have reported - the mattresses on the beds are far too hard and need to be replaced as soon as possible. We could only sleep when we put the spare blankets, folded, between the fitted sheet and the mattress tomake a more comfortable cushion.

The breaks fast
That people put that hand towels on the swimming pool beds the whole day and don’t use the beds. The management should do something about that

We drove so car park is readily available and the location was just next to the aqueduct which was amazing!
Not many options in breakfast. Room is a bit too simple. No fridge, no kettle, AC not good too.

We arrived by car so a free parking across the street was great. We has a room overlooking the aquaduct and therefore also our car. This was great. The rooms were nice. It's nice to have a pool but we only went for one dip as it wasn't too pleasant to be there. The staff was nice and welcoming. The hotel is close enough to the city center, perhaps a 5-10 min walk. This was good.
Hotel pictures on Booking are either old or enhanced because they look better than real life. The hotel is in need of some cleaning (floor carpets in hallways for example) and some outdoor painting and fixing (pool area for example need work, some tiles are missing, there is some mold and not pleasant smell. The walls of the hotel could do with a fresh paint). The pool is small - more of a dip then swimm :)
Breakfast is basic. There are no fresh vegeatbles provided. The dinning area had a strong and very cold airconditioning.

Great value for money, no hotel restaurant, and the bar is temporarily closed. Good view from street side rooms!
Breakfast, as everywhere in portugal, has no vegan options and little vegetarian options.
