About this house rental
A unique, 4-bedroom barn conversion in the corner of a secluded courtyard, with brand NEW KITCHEN!
Rated 4 star by 'VisitEngland', who described it as 'a striking conversion, providing a very good standard of self-catering accommodation'.
The house has been re-decorated and furnished to a high standard. There is a brand new kitchen, complete with electric Aga (not required for heating, instructions provided, very easy to use) Original features of the old stables have been retained, in the sympathetically restored master bedroom, including beams and names of the former equine residents! New family bathroom. New bath, shower & cabinet
The master suite includes a Kingsize bed with en-suite shower and garden access. A double bedroom also has French windows to the garden. Two twin bedrooms complete one side of the L- shaped house. All beds & mattresses are brand new. There is also a family bathroom with bath & shower.
The other 'half' of the L houses the enormous living room and kitchen, with wood-burner, flat-screen TV, large French windows to the garden, which surrounds the house. The old wood kitchen table seats 8. There's even a bed for one well-behaved dog, who has easy access to the garden & great walks in the surrounding countryside.
A trip to the renowned 'Old Inn' pub across the road is a must, if you don't feel like cooking. They cook delicious pizzas in an outdoor oven.
There's a washer/dryer in the well-equipped brand new kitchen. A travel cot and high-chair can be made available: if required, please give at least one week’s notice. There are also hair dryers in the two double bedrooms.

Accommodation was well presented and communication with owner was excellent.
I would say that the arga although lovely was quite difficult for a family meal, however we did use the Nija also which helped. There is a lovely pub 5 mins away if you do not want to cook, there is also a microwave and toaster.
The beds were very comfortable and the whole property was lovely and well decorated- as is shown in the pictures.
We made use of the garden for the family gathering and there was a good large table and chairs.
We had a great stay

A perfect location for a family Christmas holiday.
A warm, comfortable beautiful barn with plenty of space for everyone.
The Aga was a challenge with the turkey but cooked it perfectly!
The excellent pub accross the road is a real bonus and would love to return in the spring, as the garden I'm sure is beautiful.
Thank you Angela for letting us share you well loved family home and your excellent communication.
Would highly recommend.

My family had a really comfortable stay in the cottage. It had everything we needed and felt very homely.
The outside space is lovely and it was great to have "The Old Inn" a quick walk away for meals/drinks.
It was a good base for exploring Dorset.

The house was nice and well kept. Good kitchen. Oven and hobs take a really long time to heat so cooking a quick meal wasn’t possible. Overall - we had a great time and would stay again.

Beautiful property in a nice peaceful location, well furnished and plenty of space for all the family.
Only 4 stars because of problems with the hot water system which took the edge off our stay. If that can be sorted it would be 5 stars from me.

Thank you Angela for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
We found the barn had everything and definitely more that we
expected. As soon as we arrived we knew we had found something special. The location was great with a fantastic pub just along the lane called the Old Inn. The contact with Angela was just fabulous from the start and we would highly recommend a stay in this barn.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights (x3 couples) and had a great time. The property is spacious and was very clean and well decorated throughout. We particularly enjoyed the large open plan sitting room and kitchen, which we spent most of our time in, when not out and about. I always enjoy the big open plan communal areas as it means you can relax together as a group. Although we didn't use it due to the weather, the wrap around garden looked nice too.
The property is in walking distance of a really nice pub (The Old Inn) which we booked in for dinner on our last night and is definitely worth a visit. We also drove to Poole and Swanage during our stay which were both straightforward to get to (around 25 and 45 mins drive).
All in all, a lovely stay.

Beautiful place - Lovely location
Absolutely gorgeous property - lovely wrap around garden with lots of sunshine. Open plan living/kitchen/dining area which makes meal times extra sociable. Stunning bedrooms. Beautiful village with lovely pub (we went to Stoke Inn which was a mile or so down the road). Short drive to pool/Bournemouth. Fabulous nearby park for young children (adventure wonderland). Would definitely stay here again. A*****

Perfect to relax and enjoy the countryside
We had an absolutely great time over Easter weekend. Well appointed, clean and spacious barn conversion with everything on hand for your stay. Superb new kitchen and lovely garden. (Kids informed me the best WiFi ever!)
The kids, Grandparents and the dog loved the walks and the visits to the beach.
We all hope to return in the future. Thank you!

Wonderful place in an excellent location
This is the second time we have stayed and the first since the kitchen has been renovated. Both times have been fantastic. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and well kept with a lovely garden. We have two small children aged 2 and 3 and the property was great for the whole family. It’s particularly good as the garden is enclosed and the children can safely run about whilst you sit in the corner and can watch them the whole time.
The location is perfectly placed between the new forest and Dorset coast, with lots of excellent activities easily in reach.
Angela is a friendly and welcoming host with excellent communication.
Couldn’t recommend more highly and I’m sure we will stay again.

Lovely property. We were a group of 6 ladies, the open plan kitchen diner and lounge was perfect with plenty of space. Very well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms spacious. The whole property was very clean and the garden was a welcome space as we were really lucky with the weather.
A final note:- the Old Inn pub at the top of the lane is well worth a visit

This property was ideal for our family of six plus a baby and a small dog. The living area was ideal for us all to lounge around in the evenings. The bedrooms were adequate and the beds were comfy with crisply clean Linen. Two of the bedrooms had access to the garden which was a nice touch. The garden was well kept, however the garden furniture needs renewing as it’s seen better days. There are two bathrooms, One on suite with a shower in the master bedroom and one main bathroom with a bath and shower. We all had to take showers in the on suite bathroom as the water was very hot in the main one and we couldn’t work out how to control it. This made Our getting ready time a lot longer. We only made breakfast during our stay and the kitchen was Well equipped for us to do so. There is an extra fridge to keep drinks in which we found handy too. The property is set in an ideal quite location and it was easy to get out and about in the surrounding area. We visited the New Forrest which is a must whilst in that neck of the woods. It’s also nice to take walks around the neighbourhood and across the fields behind. There is a really great pub at the end of the lane where we had our dinner each evening. We would highly recommend giving it a visit!
