The setting is gorgeous and very impressive already from arrival. The building are beautiful and interior beautifully curated. We didn't use the spa, but walked around the grounds extensively and loved it. We also had a hawk walk with the falconer, who was super knowledgeable and passionate: we really enjoyed it and will never forget it. Dinner at the Terrace was superb.
We really look forward to coming back to Swinton Park.
Communication before arrival could be improved a bit, but nothing major.

We loved walking the extensive grounds and appreciated the size of our room. Our bathroom alone was the size of some hotel rooms. The port tasting was fun. The highlight was the owl and hawk experience, which was beyond fabulous. The place has a great and very accommodating staff.
Found the food at the Terrace Restaurant weird rather than good.

Beautiful building in a wonderful estate. Breakfast and dinner (at The Terrace) were very good. At reception, we were given a short tour of the premises with some history. Nice.
Rooms were stuffy and hot and difficult to aerate due to vines (insects) and housemartins nests (bird droppings). Couldn't get a scone in the afternoon as the kitchen was not able to cope. Would have expected a walk-in shower and not just a bath in this price category.

The staff are amazing, so welcoming and prepared to go the extra mile. It’s like being welcomed into their own houses.
Would have liked to try Samuels restaurant but unfortunately they were shut on Monday and Tuesday evenings , which coincided with our stay.

It’s amazing
Fresh air, wonderful food and professional service
The whole estate is very quiet, you can get close to the garden where have deer’s
There was a bit of smelly just in front of the room

Amazing hotel with staff who clearly care about the Estate. You do feel like you are being treated like royalty. Spa was outstanding, enjoyed outdoor swim in natural pool and different steam rooms and saunas. Enjoyed meal at the Terrace.
Needs to be clear if booking through Booking.com you have to pay extra for the Spa as not complimentary as it is for other guests. Also cost of breakfast on our last day was around £60 for two and we had very little.

Best hotel we've ever stayed at. And we go away a lot. Room was incredible. Bed was super comfy. The Facilities, food, spa and grounds all 5*
A little pricy. But, worth it.

We have been with our dog. The dog bed, blanket and cookies have been brilliant! The bathroom is beautiful, water is hot and quick to fill the bath.
The garden is amazing to walk! Beautiful hotel and great SPA!
The only downside was the bed. It meant to be comfortable, but we kept rolling to the center. It might be missing a support at the center. Didn't sleep well because of that. Which changed the whole experience significantly. All the other things are great!

This hotel is an absolute dream! felt like royalty staying here. it has a deer park and a walking path that takes you through the property. Food is wonderful too. Highly recommend

Beautiful Hotel, incredible rooms, warm and cosy. Stunning grounds. the breakfast was lovely but a little pricey... the spa was excellent but not nearly enough loungers and not tidied often enough after people had vacated.
We were charged extra for the use of the spa... NOT included in the Booking.com booking apparently... so had to pay an additional £50 which I felt was a little greedy considering we were guests. Restaurant choices were not great- either very formal and very expensive or less formal but very over fussy 'trendy' menu which was crazily expensive for very small sharing plates...£22 for a slice of cauliflower with some lentils seemed a little arrogant in our opinion. In the room the bed was a bit saggy, pillow uncomfortable cheap and dense. we had a room facing a courtyard where the light was quite bright and the curtains were too small for the window (I had to rehang them so that they actually closed in the middle!!) the room was lit all night. Also the extractor fan from the kitchen was quite loud and went on until late and started up again very early... not the peaceful dark country restful night we had hoped for.

The choice of two restaurants with contrasting styles of decor, menu and atmosphere was a great feature.

meal in restaurant was poor but after deciding to complain the staff dealt with it

Beautiful property, with a mix of old and modern. Lots to do, just not enough time on a 1 night stay.
Fantastic grounds to walk or bike ride, lakes to swim in and a wonderful spa to relax in. Also a golf course within the grounds.

This is a wonderful property in a glorious location
with fabulous facilities and a friendly and helpful staff.
It’s very expensive, which is not surprising given
that it is an exceptional hotel. That said,
the service was very slow: we waited for over an hour
for a bar meal we ordered in the evening. in addition,
the breakfast was below par - I have had better in
very modest establishments - and, at £20 for a
‘continental’, overpriced.
2.0
location and castle is stunning.
Over priced. No breakfast included which is disappointing after spending so much money to stay.
