Location - and even better when we could park outside. Stairs a bit steep but good exercise!!

Beautiful little home, that sleeps 4. Incredible value considering the location and how nice the place is.
Plenty of parking directly outside. Lovely little welcome box with wine, tea, coffee and cookies.
We visit Thirsk every year and this will now be our regular choice to stay at.

It was a pleasure to stay in such a lovely cottage very clean beds so comfortable every thing you need was in the cottage and within easy walking distance to all amenities
My partner and I stayed with my nephew his partner and there 7 month old little girl who had travelled from New Zealand. They just loved everything right down to the lovely comfy travel cot for Bella to sleep in with its brand new bedding. Tha whole experience was 1st class not forgetting the lovely bottle of wine and cookie's that where left for our arrival. Wonderful little break just one thing wrong we are sorry we didn't book for longer.

Gorgeous little cottage in a perfect location. The little welcome basket was incredible too.
Nothing. I would definitely recommend a stay here

Home from home feel. Spotlessly clean and in a good location not far from town centre.
There was nothing not to like.

Lovely, clean cottage near to the centre of Thirsk. Can walk into the town and very accessible to other areas.
Could have done with a few more hooks or rails to hang coats and towels.
Another toilet roll would have been nice. One for a 3 day stay wasn't enough.
Perhaps some basic condiments in the kitchen too.

Great location, easy walk into the town. Welcome pack was very much appreciated.
Very warm bedding, maybe they could be changed for summer duvets? We missed a full sized mirror and also hooks could be put on the back of the bedroom and bathroom doors?

Good two bed terrace in Thirsk town centre. Well equipped for a small house and comfort slt beds. Nice that a few essentials were left on arrival.
Probably due to the age of the house sound travels through the party wall - only really noticed that one evening

What a superb little place this was! Brilliantly clean with a perfect location and provided everything you needed. Would definitely recommend this place and we would love to come again. Extremely accommodating considering we stayed with a young child and baby.. a lovely home away from home!
Nothing ....a great place to stay!

Everything was perfect, clean cosy well equipped and just a short walk into the town centre. Peaceful location and walks from the door to Cod Beck, out into the country or round the lovely town. Highly recommend and an ideal base for visiting North Yorkshire Moors/ Dales. We had a meal at Racha Thai Bistro in Thirsk, excellent reasonably priced food. Finished off with Christ, mas day lunch at the Crab Lobster Aisenby 10 minutes drive from Herriots Nook.

The whole house feels like a country cottage, it's lovely. The beds are comfy, the welcoming pack and games and books in the living cupboard.
Not much, just the heating was slow to warm up.

location was good, close enough to town but out of the way. the accommodation was great, had all we needed. Owners made contact pre-visit with all essential information about cottage and surrounding facilities, which we found to be very useful.
not so much didn't like... more of a opportunity/potential improvement... thirsk and surrounding areas offer good opportunities for walking / site seeing, which we did.. at the end of a hard days walking, time to put up our feet with a glass of wine and watch a film or drama on TV.... unfortunately only certain TV channels were available due to poor reception... mainly channels 1-5.. others were intermittent due to the limited reception.

The cottage was cosy and comfortable very well equipped. Very welcoming and clean.
The Lord Nelson pub just across the green area had wonderful food and very pleasant staff.
Town center 5 minutes walk so we were able to park the car for the weekend and walk everywhere. Would book again.

We had a little difficulty finding the property, but it was a good location for easy access to get into Thirsk. The property is very nicely furnished and the beds were very comfy.
Perhaps give more details to it's exact location. Our Sat Nav took us to the wrong street and then we ended up going the wrong way on the One Way system! Fortunately we were okay and the lady at the pub told us where the house was.

The cottage was in an excellent location - quiet but only minutes from the centre of Thirsk with parking outside. The accommodation was lovely, well equipped and comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and sent information before the visit which was clear and helpful. We would certainly return in the future.
Nothing!
