Mews rooms not worth it.

Location is ideal.

I was in the mews rooms. It wasn’t very clean, there were cobwebs all over. The bathroom is tiny. You can hardly sit on the toilet as the sink is over your knees. Overpriced to stay in a horrible room.

We had a fabulous time in Thirsk and the Gokden Fleece was perfect.

Our stay at The Golden Fleece was excellent. Our room and en suite were very clean and beautifully decorated. Our evening meal and breakfast were delicious and the staff were helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

The bedroom was a little too warm for us but that could just be our personal preference.

Loved the location and the staff, food was good too.

The room we had was very noisy as it was near the kitchen area and there was a motor vibrating :(

Stayed over to attend a wedding so didn’t get to make the most of the property though we enjoyed what time we had. Lovel

Comfy big bed and lovely breakfast. Toiletries were good.

Bathroom a bit small and had to ask for towel as only one left in room.

I would definitely recommend staying at the Golden Fleece in Thirsk. And I will stay there again.

As always the staff were friendly, helpful and most professional. The breakfast and evening meal were lovely. The room was quiet and comfortable.

An average hotel, bedroom was very small and the bathroom floor was dirty in the corners.

Staff at breakfast were helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out staff also friendly and helpful.

Staff on for lunch and dinner were dressed in jeans and trainers with phones in their back pockets. When chatting amongst themselves not very willing to come and serve - unless you had a dog with you.

Very enjoyable.

I felt very welcome and my room was very comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff were helpful. The food was very good. There is a very nice atmosphere. I very much enjoyed my stay.

the room we stayed in wasn’t that clean, dog hairs all on the bathroom floor, the shower needs a good clean in the grout and door runners and it could have been dusted as there was dust on the lamp bases.

well placed in the centre of Thirsk and was a lovely cosy hotel.

The lager that we drink was unavailable so we had to go elsewhere and there was a lot of noise coming from the room next door which wasn’t a guest room.
