Breakfast was very good. The staff (Gaye and Chris) were friendly, welcoming, efficient and good humoured.
On the day we arrived there were a group of young men drinking in the reception area. As the group grew larger and the beer flowed one or two made much use of the ‘f’ word.

Huge, spacious room that was very clean. Staff were absolutely lovely from start to finish but special mention to Gaye, Chris and Jo during breakfast service. They were very professional, engaging and couldn't do enough for us! They made a special fuss over our little dog which is always a lovely touch. We will definitely be back!

I stayed 2 nights in lovely Masham. The hotel is on the market square, with plenty of parking available. There is an honesty box in the square and in the Kings Head to pay for the parking. Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The food was good both in the evening and breakfast, with the later served from 07.00am. The breakfast, is cooked to order and did not get served till 07.35am on the first morning. However, when I spoke about needing to get away quickly in the morning, they told me to come down five minutes earlier, which solved the problem. The room was comfortable with free wifi. I would thoroughly recommend the Kings Head at Masham, and would definitely stay here again.
The wifi was unsecure and as given above about breakfast.

this is the third time we have stayed at the Kings Head and as always everything was great, quick friendly check in, the staff are amazing, chatty and friendly, the rooms were clean and had everything that you could need, the bed was a little bit hard for me but it wasn't a problem, breakfast was excellent, local produce, plenty of choice, will defiantly be back.

We had a slight issue with our room, the cold tap didn’t work and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Mentioned it and were immediately moved to another room.
Meal in the evening was lovely. Bar area really welcoming. Breakfast was amazing!! Gay and Chris super helpful and friendly.

We loved our stay at Kings Head, the staff were all lovely and the food was exceptional. It is also dog friendly and the rooms were lovely! We were in the courtyard and it was so quiet and peaceful even with other doggy guests.
Nothing.

Dinner was not available which was disappointing, Room was nice and clean only issue was there was a room above me and the people had a dog that was running about and barking a lot when they went out. Breakfast was very nice apart i asked for poached eggs and my plate had a lot of water on it
People with pets should have downstairs rooms the eggs could have been drained before being put on the plate

Lovely, adequate sized room, we weren't in it long! Very, very clean and newly refurbished. The staff were very nice, helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We thought it was good value for money. There is no hotel parking but the large market square has free parking and only ask for a donation at the honesty box towards the floral arrangements. Our room was facing the square but was lovely and quiet.
There were workman outside but they didn't start work too early and it had nothing to do with the hotel.

Despite being a lovely old building, everything looked fresh and clean. Good food and selection of real ales. EV charging points just outside in the market place car park (albeit 3rd party) were perfect for us - and we suggest should be listed a “selling point”. Very helpful staff - with weekday breakfast service excellent. Overall very comfortable and homely - with the accessible room facilities just what mum needed (with a little help from a Red Cross loan of mobility equipment). We’d definitely stay again.
Although the two courtyard rooms we booked were nice and spacious, and well equipped, they were a bit dark. Also the tables and chairs just outside being used by members of the public drinking and chatting until late wasn’t ideal. There were also no drawers in these rooms, which we would have liked. Additionally we had no hot water on the second night, due to a boiler breakdown, however we were well compensated for this.

nice decor friendly staff lovely room in courtyard
food was a bit of an issue we weren’t told that it was pre-booked meals only which I enquired about the day before and as it was NY Eve was £50 per head fortunately we managed to get booked into the pub across the road. we weren’t able to get a snack/sandwich on NY day either as we hadn’t booked. Breakfast was really nice though and room was lovely.

Downstairs room as requested. Large, and lovely and warm
Evening meal. As was Sunday ordered the roasts . Husband ordered 7 hour slow cooked Beef Rib, I ordered beef sirloin roast . Both delicious, lovely sides with them , and fabulous Yorkshire Pudding.
Breakfast excellent variety . Pastries in particular were so fresh and appetizing. Husband really enjoyed his full English, and the smoked salmon and scrambled egg I had was equally enjoyed
nothing. Our stay exceeded our expectations in all aspects

good food, great location
We booked a double room but as we were bringing a pet we were given a different room which was very small and the bed was smaller than a double. When I complained I was told they didn't have any other rooms. The room we also had faults, the sink tap kept spinning round, the hook on the door fell off, the bath was dirty and there were cobwebs and spiders in all corners of the room. We couldn't switch the TV on then realised that the aerial wires were hanging off.
