The accommodation was spacious and was good to have the hot tub. That they said sorry about the delay with check in due to requiring to do a deep clean because of the mess of previous guests which i can appreciatecan happen. Food at restaurant was good bit expensive for what it is but expected when staying at resorts like this. Nice views and walks also maze is nice touch. Had so much potential to be great.
The room smelt after the initial day as when went in smelt the bleach so done the deep clean of which they said caused the delay. However, when voiced my concern to lady at reception she didn't care, sadly never got person dealt with when checked in so just had to keep spraying to try cover up smell. They forgot to refund my deposit until I contacted and said it was an oversight. I may have just been unlucky with the few problems.

The peace and quiet the shepherd.s hut was very good
The smell of dog all over the hut and outside and trying to get in and out of the bed ,would be better it there was a step as was not easy as both of us are recovering from surgery .

The restaurant is worth visiting, it serves local produce at a very good price and the food tastes great!
The whole resort is very peaceful and the walls in the oucal area are relaxing too.
We wouldn't change anything about our stay.

The lodge was amazing!!! Clean and comfortable with everything we needed!
The staff at the restaurant were unhelpful. We told staff on arrival about our dietry requirements and were given specific menues. We ordered from these menus flagging our requirements again. The food came out, and I was concerned it may contain dairy. Turns out it did, and the waitress couldn't have been more dismissive about this, not caring in the slightest. There was no offer to re-plate the food or offer an alternative meal. We ordered coffees that took over half an hour to make and a water that appeared dirty. Again, when flagging these issues with the staff, they were very unhelpful and did not seem to care. Such a letdown considering how lovely the lodges were.

It's an amazing getaway at Forbes of Kingennie, such a special place. Staff are friendly and the customer service provided is exceptional. Food and drinks at the resort are brilliant.
Unfortunately the toilet and bath were blocked causing major problems.
The lodge itself requires updating, speakers within the ceilings are not working and are shown signs of discolourment due to this.
Sky TV within the lodge-less channels than freeview itself, it would be worthwhile paying less for Netflix than sky, considering the limited channels available.
I have been coming here for over 4 years continually however this year its been very disappointing. These lodges are very expensive so you do expect the lodge and facilities to be of high quality.

the staff on arrival were lovely! so polite helpful and friendly! the shepherds hut was lush! it was clean and very comfortable! the hot tub just topped it off. such a gorgeous view too! never found such a lovely peaceful venue!
the only thing to my disappointment was the cocktail menu, sadly there was no pina colada but that’s just personal. I did have a mijoto and it was delicious! the service in the restaurant was also excellent!

Went for the first time in December 2022 and loved it so booked to go back January 2023. Chose the same property as liked it the first time and was familiar with it. Fully equipped with everything you need and the hot tub was an amazing luxury with great views of the land. Food at the bar was great every time and all staff very friendly and helpful.
Sky box is quite old and not many channels so not a great choice for watching anything. There is a dvd player if you want to bring dvds. Since it was my second visit I brought my fire stick so I was able to use that for the week which helped big time.
Very disappointed in the lodge though. New boiler system recently fitted in every lodge and unluckily mine (Glen Lyon) was the only lodge to have a problem with it. Every hour at least when the hot water system warmed up there was a terrible and very loud clunking noise due to an issue in the property. After reporting it and maintenance coming to check, I was told that it in-fact was a known issue they were trying to resolve and at the moment nothing could be done and they were sorry. Very annoying as I feel like I should’ve been warned and offered another lodge and that the lodge shouldn’t be booked out while the issue is there as the loud noise was constant throughout the day and night so I slept very badly which ruined the holiday.

Our accommodation was very good. Food was great in restaurant.
Bed in accommodation wasn't to our liking. Noise from radiator at night.

it was well kitted out with almost everything you might need. very private with wonderful views
just little niggles really, it could have done with a mat at the door as you ended up walking mud into the house, the Tv didn’t work, but we just plugged our laptop in.

Very nice lodge. Good quiet location and had almost everything you’d need to have a comfortable stay without having to pack too much things. Heated flooring in the master bedrooms’ en-suite was a luxury I didn’t want to leave! (dog loved it too and slept
on the floor!) Loved the hot tub and it’s location looking into the water of an evening was amazing.
Only had a sky box with general channels so not much choice to watching anything in the evening. Most places offer Netflix or sky movies etc but very little to watch on general tv. No internet, there is the option to log into the main buildings WiFi as a guest but it’s not proper internet so was slow and didn’t always work.
Also there is no dressing gowns or slippers provided for the hot tub and with it being outside and no instant access to it from a back door you need to walk around from the front door to the back where the hot tub is and in the colder months it’s freezing just being in a costume so you definitely want a dressing gown and slippers/flip flops so you would need to bring your own (luckily I did)

As a family party of fifteen we thoroughly enjoyed our two night midweek stay. The Kingennie Court North lodge which sleeps ten was excellent with generous and modern eating and lounge space and crockery and cutlery for the full fifteen of us eating together. The table was enormous; beautiful wood with an inlay which we all admired. Each room had a modern ensuite, were all a good size and there was ample parking right at the door. The view over the golf course was lovely, very peaceful, and we were lucky with the glorious sunrises. Perfect for our dogs too with great walking around the area. Two of our party stayed in the Stargazer and three in the Sealladh shepherd's glamping huts which were excellently positioned overlooking the fishing lochs with glorious views of the sunrises and sunsets especially from the hot tubs. The huts were small and luxurious and I think the lodge guests would all have liked a wee stay in them too. Some of the party enjoyed the bar/restaurant on site and said the food was good with a welcoming atmosphere. The coast is just a 15 minute drive away. Plenty to do and see for walkers, fishermen and golfers and for shoppers Dundee is only 20 minutes away. There is also the V&A museum and the Discovery ship to visit. Golfing and history at St Andrews just 18 miles from Kingennie. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.
Couldn't get cooker hood to work but there were lots of windows to open anyway.
