Ein ganz besonderer Aufenthalt

Lodge magnifique Personnel très gentil Possibilités de se promener aux alentours des lodges, différents parcours sont proposés. La piscine et les transats sont superbes La vue est magnifique Très bon restaurant

Nous avons eu très chaud la nuit, on aurait rêvé avoir une climatisation Les toilettes ne sont pas totalement séparées de la chambre , pas glamour en cas de maladie

Eine wunderbare, persönlich geführte Lodge in einer phantastischen Panorama - Lage mit einem Gourmet -Abendessen

Wunderbare, persönlich geführte Lodge in einer fantastischen Lage auf einer Anhöhe mit einem atemberaubenden Panoramablick. Zuerst : die Zufahrtstrasse ( ca 6 km von der Hauptstraße) ist gerade und gut gepflegt, super nach einer anstrengenden Anreise. Die Zimmer befinden sich in außergewöhnlichen kleinen Bungalows aus Stein, die in der Landschaft integriert sind, sie können Tierbeobachtung direkt vom Balkon aus ( Wasserstelle in Sichtweite) machen. Sehr schönes, architektonisch interessantes Lobby und Restaurant, fantastischer Pool mit Panoramablick ( sehr sauber und nicht zu klein). Alles war gut aber das Highlight war das Abendessen ( auf einer Terrasse mit einem Postkarten -Sonnenuntergang) - das beste, was wir bis jetzt in Namibia gegessen haben! Kein Menü sondern Essen a la carte, alle 4 Gerichte wunderbar frisch vorbereitet ( Fisch- saftig, knusprig, aromatisch gebraten, Steak - sehr schmackhaft und butterweich, Steak aus Calamari - so saftig, niemals etwas ähnliches probiert, Avocado mit Shirms - ein Traum) und perfekt, sehr aufmerksam serviert. Der Besitzer begrüßt jeden persönlich beim Abendessen und man fühlt sich gleich wie Zuhause. Auch bei unserem ersten Reifenwechsel wurde uns nett geholfen. Tipp: bleiben Sie ruhig mindestens zwei Nächte, es gibt wunderschöne, ausgeschilderte Wanderwege. Wir waren leider nur kurz zum Sonnenaufgang unterwegs.

Das wir leider, leider nur eine Nacht bleiben könnten. wir wollten eigentlich nicht weg.

Endroit magnifique

Endroit unique ! Au milieu de rien avec tout le confort, nous avons passé un agréable séjour . Il y avait des animaux au point d'eau en face des chambres, c'était magique. Déconnection assurée

Pas de wifi ou très peu . Très peu isole entre les chambres, on entends ce qu'il se passe a coté.

Tranquil, scenic and restful

Breakfast catered for all foodies. Staff friendly and helpful.

Electricity constraints, but maybe a flask with hot water and a selection of coffee / tea etc for early morning wake up.

Tolle Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Personal!! Cooler Pool mit tollem View. Die Häuser waren sehr individuell und schön eingerichtet, allerdings waren die Zimmer / Häuser nachts noch recht warm.

Not the best value for money, but nice views and restaurant

Very nice restaurant staff, the restaurant food is delicious, nice views from the room. Reception area is nice.

The internet never worked, there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, no different models of plugs in the room, no mini bar, the bed and bed sheets were not comfortable. Missing attention to details for the price charged, especially compared to other options in Namibia.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We loved the Rostock Ritz Desert Lodge. The location and views were incredible. Staff super friendly and food fantastic. Really good price too. I highly recommend staying here.

Superb

The Rostock Ritz is a welcoming and nicely located lodge. The "igloos" in stone are perhaps a bit small and with basic comfort, but they offer also a little porch with magnificent view. The main area has a.o. a restaurant that serves an excellent dinner and a fine breakfast. Friendly welcome, competent staff and much appreciated info concerning the hikes on the premises.

- The amazing view - the swimming pool - the hiking paths - the friendliness of the owners - the cold beer

- the room was small, dark and warm (even at night) as it did not have an AC - the food was only average and the filet steak cooked too long - no internet in the rooms and only very slow and poor internet at the reception

A very unusual accommodation and surrounding - we will return

We loved the hikes. The hike into the Gaub-river canyon is spectacular. We were lucky as it had rained and there was water in the canyon. Spectacular rock formation. We also enjoyed the evening drive!

The food options for people preferring to not eat meat could be more varied.

Food was amazing - very tasty. Location was stunning - very scenic although quite a drive on the dirt road. So tranquil.

Amazing experience

We loved the location, the view and the quiet peaceful atmosphere. We loved the sundowner drive, really interesting and exceeded our expectations. Bedrooms are amazing and really high quality. It was our second trip there, we would return again and again. The swimming pool is lovely and nice and warm too.

The service for dinner was a bit slow. We could not really see what we were eating because the lighting in the dining room is too dark.

Great remote location for a peaceful getaway in the desert.

The location is outstanding, stunningly beautiful landscape. If a remote getaway is what you are looking for then this is a great option. The staff were all lovely, accommodating and pleasant and offered an array of activities without pressurising. Breakfast was good, dinner options were great, especially considering the remote location of the place!

A welcome stop over in the desert

It’s a great stop over place on the way to Soussusvlei. It has a beautiful vista and unique igloo looking rooms. The food and service was very good - with a perfect patio for sunset drinks.

No tea&coffee facilities in the room. The toilet (with a pull up handle) made flushing noises during the night. The WiFi was very intermittent/ slow.

Just a bit tired

Amazing location and friendly staff.

We felt that the decor and facilities need some lightening up and updating. All bedroom doors should have security screens so you can sleep with everything wide open to assist with the heat as there is no aircon.

A delightful place to sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning landscape.

Beautiful accommodation in the desert landscape. Yvonne was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are fairly small and a little dark, but have amazing views so this is not really an issue. The pool area is very relaxing and the reception and dining areas very comfortable. Food was very good and the service of a high standard. Highly recommend Rostock as a place to break up a journey from Sossusvlei to the coast and spend a few days relaxing

During our stay, it was hot and the room was like a furnace. The stone walls collect and then radiate the heat in the evening. We were unfortunate that there was no breeze when we stayed and sleeping was a little uncomfortable. We still really enjoyed our stay though and were sad it was just the one night.
