Lovely hotel great breakfast and friendly staff. Convenient location. Highly recommend for travellers to Nagano

Nice breakfast and central convenient location for sightseeing, railway and restaurants.
Room small but comfortable. Staff is helpful
Communal area, breakfast area and room look slightly tired and old fashion.
Room is small.

property was clean and neat, staff were friendly
my partner asked for extra pillows but were denied as only 1 per pax allowed. aircon does not work so it was very hot in the middle of the night as we approach summer

Nice, clean hotel and room
About a 15-20mins walk from Nagano station, usually not a problem, but can be a bit much with heavy luggage. Double room is a little tight for two people

location was very convenient and the hotel was clean, staffs were friendly
the room was bit small than expected

Convenient hotel a few minutes walk from the station. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, although a bit small. I was highly amused by their manga lounge although I did not borrow any books. The staff was able to assist me in forwarding my luggage to my next hotel. Breakfast was surprisingly delicious and was slightly different each day.
There is nothing I disliked about this hotel. It is a bit farther from the station than most hotels I book when staying in Japan but it is still relatively convenient. Thankfully breakfast was included in my stay. Although it tastes great, I do think the breakfast is a little overpriced if you were to pay for it separately.

close to train station
it was alittle old and smelly

convenient location, bathroom was nice
room is outdated and bed was super hard gave me a sore back the next day

Close to station and free parking if you park a little far from the hotel.
Onsen was so small. There were only 4 other people at the same time and it was completely full and others couldn’t take a bath during that time.

The onsen was great!

The buffet breakfast was amazing! Mostly Japanese food, and a few Western options. The onsen and sauna are quite small, but still relaxing after a long day. The staff were kind and they let me lock up my suitcase for the day after checking out at 10:00 AM.
The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the station. There is a 7/11 directly across the street and just around the corner, there is a great English pub called The Red Dragon. About 1.7 km from Zenkoji Temple!
The WiFi was not fast and did not work well in some areas. The building and facilities are quite old, but the bathroom in the rooms were modern.
Overall a good value for money, but if you prefer things to be newer and more 'modern', this may not be the best option for you.

The service was beyond expectations, they were helpful beyond any expectations anyone could have had. Everything else was on point, but the service went above and beyond. If you are looking for a place where you can count of the staff to help you if you need it, this is it.

- Room was comfy and well organised
- SUPER clean bathroom and newly made - very unique to have actual ceramic and not the yellowish plastic as in most Japanese bathrooms
- Public bath was really nice, including sauna, going there late in the evening (~22/23:00) it was almost empty
- Very good breakfast, good offer both for Japanese and western style food. All kept fresh and warm. The breakfast was a bit early, it would be great if it can be served a little longer.
- The vending machines with icecream and big offer of free toiletries that you pick up from spot next to reception was a great idea too
- Very nice & helpful staff
- Convenient lockers to keep luggage
- Good location, close to the train station but not too close, some konibis and other stores around
Nothing really, I'm not a morning person so later breakfast times would be great though :)

Staff were accommodating and the room was nice for what I paid, but I got a pretty big discount, I would not have been satisfied with the room if I had paid the standard price. The hotel is not too far away from Nagano Station, but it is a little bit of a walk. It's nice because it means being far from the loud crowds drinking at night, but it also means having to travel that distance to reach most of the restaurants and izakayas. The hotel is next to a 7-Eleven, which is really nice. While I did not use it, there is a small manga library on the first floor and you can take several books to your room (no English).
I may have missed it on the hotel listing, but parking does not take place at the hotel. I ended up having to park my car with the emergency lights on to ask one of the taxi drivers also parked at the front where to park my car. Parking ended up being a few blocks down and it's an indoor facility. I had to awkwardly drive on the sidewalk in order to exit the hotel and get to the parking building. If you want to be right where most of the restaurants and entertainment is, you might want to choose a hotel closer to Nagano Station, at the standard price you could be paying the same amount.
