The breakfast was gourmet with different options each day. Freshly prepared it was also the time during which our hosts
spent time including the guests in group discussions as well as one on one sharing tips on everything from unknown car paths to little known eateries.
I did not like it that I had booked another location for the last 2 days - we stayed here for 4 nights and should have stayed here for entire week in Skye.

The new owners/hosts have taken great time and care in creating an exceptional B&B. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. In addition, we received great advice about places to visit and see and an insiders view of Skye.

Very lovely place and the owners, Martin and Charles, were incredibly welcome. They helped us with everything we needed and recommended different places to visit on the island.
The house was beautifully done, and the homemade breakfast absolutely delicious! We would love to come back one day!

We would like to thank Martin & Charles for your hospitality, the wonderful breakfast, the lovingly furnished rooms and the really great sightseeing tips.
We sincerely hope that your B&B will be discovered by many nice people.
You make me feel at home.

Martin, Charles, and Brodie, the dog, are awesome hosts.
The room was on point, and the breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I ever had.
Martin even went out of the way to prepare something that wasn't on the menu for my wife who is a vegetarian.

The reviews were really good and I loved the thought of the guest house and the history. The reviews also implied that the owners were lovely and accommodating. We were hoping to have one last trip away before our baby was born.
Unfortunately 2 days before we were supposed to check in, I was hospitalised and diagnosed with preeclampsia. This is a very dangerous condition for mother and unborn child. I contacted Booking.Com and the owners to see if there was possibility of a refund (I understood this was a long shot) or if it would be possible to change the dates to sometime in the future, I assumed January would be a good date as i know it’s a quiet time in hospitality, I was flexible with this. And I was still very interested in staying at the property and giving them my custom. This was flat out refused.
I was quite disappointed given all the good reviews that an exception couldn’t be made in this very unexpected and unfortunate situation. I felt the owners were blaming Booking.Com and Booking.Com were blaming the owners. I was originally going to book again but as I have reflected on the service I received, I have decided I won’t be giving Roskhill House any more money as they obviously don’t care about their customers.

Superb breakfast - wonderful scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Spacious, well-appointed room with place for wet boots as well as a fridge and comfortable sofa.
We enjoyed everything about our stay. Our only problem was that Skye is so popular that it is hard to find somewhere for an evening meal.
