Overall, the property worked well for our group. We loved the location, the pool and hot tub were great, and the size of the property was perfect for our group, with lots of space to spread out.
The primary issue we ran into was the number of beds. The posting listed two twin bunk beds but there was only one in the house, our group was counting on those two additional beds and a few members of our party had to sleep on the couches. The house was also very hot when we arrived, and it took about half a day for the AC to cool it down when we turned it on. The living room area remained hot during the day. We also couldn't figure out how to use the sound system in the house + some of the outdoor furniture was old/should be replaced.
Overall, I would recommend this rental for location and size.

This house was phenomenal. Perfect location literally less than 12 minutes anywhere in the top spots of San Diego. The house was clean , pool and jacuzzi were perfect. Enough beds for a large group. Would definitely recommend!! Ali is very responsive to all inquiries!

The house is very well located so that it's less than 20 minutes to nearly all the main sites in San Diego. The neighborhood is quiet. The gated property provides a welcome sense of security.
The pool needs some repairs - the vacuum gizmo that must stay in the pool at all times doesn't clean anything. The pool lights don't work. Otherwise it was a great pool and hot tub. Plenty of pool toys.
The frig ice maker is broken so we had to go buy ice trays since they weren't provided. The windows need some refurb because not all of them open which was a nuisance since one of the neighbors was loud and we could close the window after opening it.
For $11k a week, I'd expect everything to be in good shape and fully working.

We had our traditional family trip on July 13, 2024, for our family of 14, including 3 generations from ages 2 to 77. We had a most wonderful time at this property. Since our trip was on July 13th, we read the review by “Andrea H, dated July 1st” The review was not good (6/10) and we were worried. We contacted Ali and stated our concerns, he assured us that “There is nothing to worry about.” We trusted him and it turned out that he was right! The property is just like he stated on the website.
The house has 3 levels, and it is very spacious for all 14 of us. The grandchild slept in the room with bunk beds, and they loved it. The house is reasonable clean, considering this property being so popular and rented back-to-back, the cleaning crew did a good job. The kitchen was great, with plenty and sufficient things needed to cook meals for a big group like ours. There is an extra refrigerator in the garage which is useful. Ali told us about the meat market-Sidsel’s, which is right down the street. They have a good meat selection, and the location was very convenient for us. We had Wagyu and Tomahawk steaks from there and we were not disappointed. The inside and outside dining rooms are another good feature, as there were enough seats for everyone. The pool was nice and clean, since the ocean water was cold, so we had the pool heated and the grandchildren just loved it. One of the highlights is the view of the Sea World fireworks every night at 8:50pm. They were splendid.

Our stay was great. My family of 12 was well accomadated in this house. It was very spacious and the kids loved the pool. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and within close distance to the beach.

We’ve stayed in many VRBOs and none of them supplied paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash! That was an unexpected perk!
It could use a good once over with paint. The outlets/electricity were kind of scary too.
All in all, great place for our San Diego trip!

The house overall was great, it could use a little TLC. The backyard and pool area was amazing. The bed in the lower level room was very creaky and squeaked all throughout the night with any movement and none of the tv's had cable or would connect to the wifi. On our last night in the house around 4am a loud alarm like noise kept going off in 1-2 second increments with one final longer alarm noise that woke everyone up and was actually pretty scary. Once someone finally got out of bed to check it out it had stopped. After everyone was back in bed and asleep it sounded one more time and then I didn't hear it again. I did reach out to the owner about it in the morning and never got a response. Overall a nice place for a family vacation.

It's hard to say enough great things about this house, which was our home base for 10 people, ages 8 to 70, 3 generations of our family, for 8 days. It accommodated everyone easily, with roomy bedrooms and living spaces, an amazing primary suite, and the pool-hot tub was the perfect place to relax and have fun each evening. The location is terrific; most of the places you'll want to visit are short drives away, and the freeways are nearby for farther-out destinations. The kitchen is large, and fully stocked.
There is one more point about this house that might be important for some. As a rehabilitation and physical medicine specialist, I pay attention to accessibility and mobility issues (although thankfully so far, that's not a problem for us). San Diego is quite hilly, and it would be very hard to find a house this size acceptable for some with mobility limitations. Here, from the driveway or garage, there is exactly one short step into the main level, where there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, the kitchen, and a large dining room and living room (with one of the TVs). The lower level, with the primary suite and pool, and the upper level, could be reached by those using a cane or walker, if the impairment is not too limiting.
Overall, this is simply a terrific place for a larger group. You absolutely won't be sorry if you stay here!

Fantastic location. Amenities were perfect. The bedrooms could use an upgrade in furniture but otherwise it served our purposes well. Communication was great. checkin and checkout were clear and simple. Great place for hosting family vacations.

The place was nice but it is a bit more dated than the pictures show. The size of the place is huge and you can have a good amount of beds so everyone can be comfortable. The living areas are big and there is a lot of place to relax. We didn't get to utilize the pool area since we were there for work but it was VERY nice. My only complaints were that it was super hot when we arrived so I was uncomfortable for a while, took a while for the house to cool down but it was an unseasonably warm in San Diego.

The most perfect house for a big group of friends. It’s super close to everything and the backyard is so dreamy. There was 7 of us and we all got our own beds, tons of space and had the best time! Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The house was a great layout for our group of 3 families. Everyone had their own space. The location is fantastic, close to everything, with beautiful sunset views. The pool was a big hit with the kids. Check-in process was easy and the house feels very private with the fence. As others had mentioned in their reviews, the house could use some updating/TLC. For example, there were some knobs that were off the cabinets, chipped paint, and some of the dishes were not completely clean when we arrived.

Eleven members of our family, ages 12 to 81, came together from the East Coast to join with those living in Truckee and Ventura at this home for a week of fun. The house is beautiful with a well stocked kitchen and lots of space. We spent a lot of time on the balcony with the beautiful view. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all for the entire week. The location was close to all the San Diego attractions we had on our bucket list. Would definitely stay there again. Many happy family memories were made there.

Our stay in San Diego was great! Location was in the center of all attractions. The kids loved it there. We will visit again. I can say being from Louisiana, California food is not the greatest.

We celebrated my moms 70th birthday at this beautiful house. It was the first time all 4 grandkids were together which was super special. All of us (especially the kids!) enjoyed the pool and view of the bay. Ali was super responsive with questions. Would definitely recommend!

There were 4 families and the house was nice because every family had their own bathroom and bedroom.The kids loved the pool. We enjoyed the beach Coronado beach (very family friendly). We used the beach chairs and that was very helpful.

Beautiful home with all the amenities! Spacious rooms and very comfortable beds!! Loved having two refrigerators and location was near all our activities. Plenty of pool towels for the awesome pool time. The view from upstairs deck was breathtaking. And the bunk room was great for all our grandchildren. We enjoyed our stay.

Clean house, lots of room and very comfortable! Everyone had plenty of space! The weather was a bit chilly but we got to use the hot tub which was still awesome. Great views of the bay! If we had any questions we received a very quick response or answer. Would definitely stay again if we are back in the area!

Location was good, space worked out nicely...there were 6 of us . We had an additional 6 for dinner one night and while the space was perfect, the serving bowls and cooking utensils and serving utensils need to be updated. We had one large bowl, no salad bowl etc... grill needed to be lit manually and one burner did not work.
House also could do with a a coat of paint inside. We enjoyed our stay, beds comfortable and overall clean! View was great as was the pool and hot tub. Would recommend!

It has all the amenities and materials we needed for our stay… the place was located close to where our events were held… slight issue with the gate on our last day… the host was prompt in calling us back with our concern… overall, it was a satisfactory place to stay … thank you

The house has so much potential to be nice! It desperately needs some TLC. It needs to be painted badly and some items fixed. We were surprised by the overall condition.
We arrived later in the evening (around 10:00 pm) and had trouble getting the garage door to open but the property manager was responsive and helped us. Upon entering the house, we learned every door in the house was unlocked. That made us females, in a new location, a bit uneasy. The neighborhood was nice and we had no safety issues or concerns while staying there.

We loved this house! It was even more beautiful in person. The house comfortably fit our large group and had all the amenities we could ask for. Ali was a great host and answered all of our questions and was incredibly accommodating. Highly recommend this house.

The house was big and pretty comfortable for our group of 14. Very good central location, can walk a bit, but you'll mostly need a ride/car/bike. Hot tub and backyard area were nice, but there were two issues. The listing didn't mention the pool heating fee and a maintenance guy had to come fix the hot tub the first day. Not deal breakers, but that could've been better. Overall pretty good stay and I'd recommend it for a large group.
