We traveled to Philly for my son’s 16th birthday. The house was absolutely perfect! Everyone had their own space and we were able to gather in the living room comfortably to watch movies. All activities were within a 15 minute drive and we always felt safe in the area. The rooftop view was beautiful and a great place to wind down at the end of the night, read quietly and watch the sunrise. The place was immaculate in cleanliness and the extra details were a very pleasant surprise! Communication was easy and timely. The neighbors were also very pleasant and helpful. Parking was not an issue as we always found a spot next to the basketball courts. When traveling to Philly again, we will definitely stay here!

A great place to stay. The house was just right for our group of friends. There were interesting restaurants in the area and a nice walk to center city. Thanks to our host for making the house comfortable and inviting. We’d love to stay there again next year.

This was the perfect house for meeting our NYC-based kids in Philly for a fun weekend! More than enough comfy beds and baths and the rooftop on a sunny day is unbelievable! I've always thought that I could be a VRBO host one day but the extra amenities that these owners threw into our stay makes me realize a new level of service. They're amazing! So many thanks!

Lots of families with dogs walking in the neighborhood. A very welcoming feeling. Easy walk to groceries and really good and varied take out. Full kitchen so cooking was easy and added to family enjoyment. Playground round the corner. Every age had a good time. Thanks

Decided to rent property for the weekend to see Luke Combs Concert. Property was tastefully laid out/decorated inside. Roof top views of the city sold me on this one. Def a million dollar view for sure! Would recommend to a friend.

We drove in and found parking right in front of house which was wonderful. We used the bus which picked us up and dropped us off conveniently on the block where the home is located. We are from a rural area and do not live in the city, but we never felt unsafe, taken advantage of, or put out by any of the locals.... quite the contrary, everyone was always kind, courteous, and helpful... kudos to the locals! This didnt stop short of the homeowners either. I called ahead and they gave me helpful information which was so helpful in navigating the area. The check in was easy and the accommodations were wonderful. We had 2 adults and 5 kids (ranging from 17-18 years of age). Everyone had tons of room to spread out and have privacy and yet room to gather back together comfortably in the living room and dining room for meals and socializing. And that rooftop deck!!! That was icing on the cake. We loved going up and seeing the neighborhood from a birdseye view as well as the sweeping skyline of downtown Philly... marvelous! It is without pause, that we give this location a 5 star rating and would recommend it for future travelers! Much thanks to the homeowners for trusting us with your beautiful property!

The property was clean, was as pictured, and was well stocked (really well stocked). We had one initial issue that was quickly fixed.
Due to travel schedules, we had a luggage storage problem the day of check out and the owner could not have been nicer about it.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

This is a great place to stay if you are coming into Philly with older kids! Right on the 17 bus line and 10m from Broad Street Line. Walkable with older kids to Passyunk for cheesesteak and cannoli. We had my family of 5 (mom/dad, boy, boy, girl). Boys stayed in the basement, mom and daughter on the 2nd floor, me and the hubs on the 3rd.
The roof deck is wonderful. Highly recommend having coffee up there. Drinks at night would probably be lovely too but we were dang tired!
The coffee shop up the street is THE BEST and we are coffee snobs. We did a lot of neighborhood walking, and it is urban. We are ok with that and thought it was a plus.
Great hosts, very responsive. Spent more than one night on the couch looking at Redfin to see what it takes to move to the neighborhood!

Nice house
House is very nice. Great view from the roof. The weather was nice so we sat up there at night. It’s a mile or two walk to most sites, so it’s walkable to everything if you consider those distances walkable. There was a mixup with the cleaning crew at check-in but the owners were very responsive and addressed the issue right away.

Fabulous home away from home
This home was clean and had excellent amenities. The kitchen was well equipped and linens, beds, bathrooms, were wonderful. The rooftop deck was amazing, even though we had chilly weather! Parking is to be considered. You need to be prepared for many steps but it is worth it!!!

Check in was easy. Owners were very responsive and the house was great. The view from the rooftop was awesome. 5 stars. Only down side is parking. Streets and pretty tight and parking is hard to come by. But once we found one, we just stayed there. I’ll definitely be booking this one again.

Our stay at 1904 Alter Street
I was not misled, but I expected a different looking neighborhood, one with brick front brownstones. Also, we did not come equipped to use the bedroom TVs that only could be used with streaming apps vs also permitting regular TV channels as was available in the main living area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thoroughly enjoyed historical Philadelphia. Thanks

Phenomenal place- Phenomenal hosts
We had a terrific experience here. The location was central to everything we wanted to do. The house was immaculate, the hosts were very responsive, and even the smallest details were considered. We truly felt at home in this lovely house. The views from the rooftop were spectacular and the recommendations for restaurants and local sops were spot on. All in all a terrific experience and we will most definitely rebook when we are next in Philly! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The little niceties
It was a nice place to stay in a busy city. Rooftop deck was a great place to enjoy a 360 degree view of fireworks. The little extras were a pleasant surprise. Its nice when you don’t have to worry about the little things like spices as they are well stocked.

Great for our three families
We stayed here to go to sesame place. It was easy to get to and easy to find. I will say getting down the street was a little challenging as cars were parked on both sides and often blocking traffic. The roof top area was great for once the toddlers had went to bed. The fourth bedroom is located in the basement with no door that I must’ve missed in the description. They had a fully stocked kitchen which was great!! Directions for the tv would’ve been nice for us that don’t have the xfinity service. We were able to connect with the host and she got back to us immediately. All and all would recommend and stay again.

Needs to be cleaned!Master bath room shower leaks and the floor drain has a matt covering a sunken area. Jacuzzi tub had parts that look like it was being repaired sitting on the tub. sheets and pillow cases had stains on them. The chair in the master bedroom was falling apart if you sat on it it would have broken.Neighbors out back partied from 2:00am-10:00 Saturday and Sunday. Rear bedroom has mold growing in the closet and the air conditioning is very weak.It appears that this property needs to have better attention by the owner.

Family wedding
Right off the bat we noticed the kitchen counter tops had crumbs and glass rings. The dinner plates were dirty. Floors were really creaky it was hard to be quiet when kids were napping. Neighbors behind property were loud the last night we were there apparently there was a party that went on until 6am, no one got much sleep.

Comfortable home in safe area
Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay in this home. The location was a bit out from the sites, and parking difficult. We parked our car the first day and did Uber the entire time (pickups were very fast, even for the XL size!). Main floor was kitchen and living room, but no bathroom (FYI). Downstairs our teens enjoyed their own “suite” to themselves. Next floor up our 2 moms enjoyed their 2 rooms and shared bath. Then we parents enjoyed our 3rd floor master suite. Everything was comfortable, but things we didn’t like were the toilet paper was crazy thin and our master shower faucet was not attached well and not good water pressure (falling off & would not stay upright). Overall, though, it was a nice place. Chick’s is about the only restaurant to walk to easily, and it was just ok. Note that all the homes here are row houses, so you will hear the neighbors occasionally (though it was not horrible during our stay). Rooftop deck was nice, but it was either raining or very windy during our stay so we didn’t use much.

Perfect places for large family
Multigenerational stay with 6 adults, 2 kids. First floor was perfect for eating/socializing. Bedrooms were ideal for each family unit. Laundry an added plus with kids. Only limitation is no 1/2 bath on first floor. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Home
This property was perfect for our stay in Philadelphia to be close to CHOP during our grandchild’s procedures.
The property owners were very prompt in responding to any questions that we submitted to them.
The home is beautifully updated, wonderful cooking kitchen, beds were very comfortable, lovely linens and plenty of space for our family.
The rooftop was fantastic and well appointed with comfortable wicker furniture to enjoy fresh air as well as viewing the sparkling lights of the city at night. The soaking tub in the 3rd floor Master Suite was luxurious! Anyone looking for a sparkling clean lovely home to stay at in South Philadelphia would love this home!

Philly trip
Very nice place to stay. Communication with the owners was easy and pleasant. A good central location. Parking isn’t the greatest, but owner did relay what it would be like. Didn’t effect my rating, but good to know. Felt the cleaning crew could have done a little better. Dust and crumbs in the floor in front of tv in living room and small pieces of trash (receipt, strips of paper) showing right out of the corner of the rug when we walked in. We didn’t mention this to the owners. We still liked the stay and had a good experience overall. The jacuzzi jets in the tub didn’t work. This would have been nice. If it allowed me to give a 4.5, I would.

Wonderful getaway
We absolutely LOVED our stay at this property. We had plenty of space for our family of five, and really appreciated the many included amenities and modern feel. This house has everything you will need, and we would definitely return if in the area again. The rooftop patio is amazing and the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day of walking in the city. I completely agree with all previous reviews about the parking. It’s limited and very tight, but if you are prepared to walk or Uber, it’s not an issue. The house is in more of an alley, away from the cute city neighborhoods, but we always felt safe and we didn’t mind walking a few extra blocks to get into the city. I would definitely recommend this property.
