From the minute that we arrived we were made to feel extreme welcome. The apartment is perfect with the two bedrooms and additional communal space for relaxing. Everything we could have needed was provided in the kitchen and an assortment of spare toiletries showed a generous nature that began with the host had extended to previous people that had stayed. Advice was given when sought, and was invaluable in seeing beyond the immediate tourist side of PR. There was an obvious pride and love of PR that radiated from the host, making the stay warm, welcoming and unique. A huge thank you, we really hope we can go back again someday !

IT WAS GOOD

My very first trip to Puerto Rico was the best trip ever, the location was great! the apartment was very cozy a home away from home. I felt safe and secure and the Host Mr. Lombardo was the best, he made us feel welcomed, he gave us excellent tips on where to eat and visit. He was very knowledgeable and very respectful. Even through this last storm Mr. Lombardo whipped into action to make sure we were not inconvenienced or affected by tropical storm Fiona. It was due to his amazing pre planning as stated in the apt description of having backup power. He kept us informed and safe, it was like a oasis totally oblivious of the effects that was reported on the storm by the news. I would totally stay at any of Mr. Lombardo's properties, and recommend that if you are looking for someplace safe and clean and comfortable enough to be home. Book with Mr. Lombardo you'll have the best time! I've been home for 2 days and when anyone asks about my trip I tell them Mr. Lombardo's properties are the way to go. and oh wait it's AFFORDABLE!

The place its moldy,dirtyand the Bbq still had last tenant burned food. We had to wash the sheets before using the beds. The kitchen and bathroom had pest problems, the bed in first room has a deep whole in the center. The Cabinet of board games has a faul smell. We had to desinfect everything with bleach and desinfectant spray. I took pictures of all in details, if anyone need to see what I experienced. I also experience a verbal racial comment concerning my son. It was really out of taste, completely inappropriate. I wanted to leave on arrival but no one understands when you have to deal with family that is mentally challenged, this ordeal was hard, too bad people can only see physical disabilities. A last minute change of place was impossible since you are requiered to pay before travel in full. Never again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was kind and had valuable suggestions on traveling the island. Our vacation would not have been as enjoyable without John’s suggestions. Nice walk to multiple beaches. Short drive to Old San Juan and piñones.

My wife and I had an amazing time at John’s property. Located at a perfect beach spot and many places within walking distance. We would highly recommend staying here.

This is our first time staying at Johns downstairs property. We stayed at the upstairs property on our last visit. We enjoyed this one just as much as the last. The patio was a perfect area to unwind after a long day. There was an island wide power outage for the first 48 hours of our trip, but this property had solar power so we experienced little inconvenience. The skate park and botanical garden next door were a great place to stroll around in. The swimming cove just down from the house was perfect. The wind made for extremely rough ocean conditions, but the area behind the rocks was calm and gave the kids some beach time. The music from the near by club was a little loud on Sunday night, but that’s no fault of the property owner. Thought I would mention it just in case you have family members or children that might frown upon “city noises”. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was adorable and is very well kept. John was very helpful and nice too. If we had questions or needed anything he was available to be contacted. The apartment itself was perfect for us and my dad who is handicapped (in a wheelchair). The ocean is within seconds of a walk and everything else is extremely close. It’s location has a little bit of everything for everybody that can be walked to, as well. If driving, there are a lot of activities within minutes is the apartment too. My family and I were very happy with it and will definitely be coming back again to stay, if John gives us the opportunity. We were treated like family and not just tenants which made our experience in Puerto Rico that much more amazing. If your looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend this apartment.

We had a wonderful stay. John was very helpful and super friendly. Location was close to restaurants and you could get anywhere in San Juan area vis timeshare. We will definitely come back for a longer stay.

John Is such a gracious host, his place is so well situated in San Juan. Right in front of the ocean and very close to many entertainment areas. Although you won’t see the sea from inside this unit you will most definitely enjoy the soundtrack of the ocean during your stay. I highly recommend this property for the congenial experience as well as the great location! Rafael is also worth noting; he provided an exceptional experience during my stay and was very accommodating. I plan to go back!

Only a few issues for us. The bed in one room was very old and should be replaced. There was no dishwasher which if a large group can be missed. Nice location to the beach. I would stay again.

We just loved the location and place where we stayed. Owner is so friendly and provided lots of guidelines. Felt like home. First time visitor to Puerto Rico, it was a great experience and excellent location.

We had an excellent experience with our vacation rental. During these uneasy COVID times, John made everything possible to make us feel comfortable, safe, and welcomed. I was impressed by how seriously Puerto Ricans take mask and social distancing rules, this is not a political or conspiracy issue here like it is on the mainland, EVERYONE takes it seriously, which makes you feel comfortable, if you can say that in today's world. John's apartment was very clean and a hand sanitizer was provided to us as we arrived. There is everything you can expect from the apartment rental and more - John is there ready to help with any issues on the minute's notice. This apartment on the first floor has convenient access, especially if you have small kids and a covered indoor area with hammock and loungers has plenty of space to play or relax away from direct sun. This is an ideal place if you rent a car, you will have your own parking spot on the private driveway of the gated street, which made me feel safe. Renting a car is the best way to see Puerto Rico, it's also safer during COVID than public transport or Uber, we got ours from Chalrie's down the street. Small beach steps away from the villa is ideal for the morning dip. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance and old San Juan is 15 minutes away driving, supermarket is 5 minutes driving. I love the place and would definitely come back, I miss Puerto Rico already.

Our host was excellent. He made the entire process very simple and easy for us. His property is very well kept and sits on an amazing piece of property beach side. It was a pleasure to stay st this property once again. Thank you John and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

We really enjoyed staying at Punta Las Marias. It is located near a very nice beach, was within walking distance of groceries and restaurants, and was clean and well-kept. We also felt safe there during the 2020 earthquakes. We definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end.

When we arrived John met us at the gate. We met Lola, his dog. She was so friendly and warm. He was very nice and our family loved him! He gave us great suggestions as far as food and places to visit. Many places to eat close by and a supermarket was not that far either. The beach was about 5 minutes away, walking distance and not crowded. It was great. We would definitely stay here again and I recommend this place to anyone who is visiting PR.

John was a great host. He was very informative about the area and suggested things that we should do and see. Everything he suggested was right on point. The apartment was spacious and furnished with everything you need for a great stay!

This was my first trip to Puerto Rico and I was not disappointed. I celebrated my 50th birthday with friends and family. John was very nice and made great suggestions. The location was perfect and the apartment was just what we needed. We walked to several restaurants nearby, and the beach was literally right there. Most of all I think I found my happy place and the nicest people on earth. We were at dinner on my birthday and the entire restaurant sang happy birthday to me and a couple nearby stopped by our table to thank us for supporting Puert Rico. We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. It's cute, clean and in a great location to walk to restaurants and the beach. John was great and gave us numerous suggestions about places to go and was always there to answer any questions we had. I will definitely stay here again!

I have truly enjoyed staying in this secure private apartment. I wanted a place that was an easy drive to my office in the city, access to good restaurants, safe places to walk, and a nice beach. This place was perfect! The hosts are very helpful and made me feel part of the community. I will be back

We booked a stay in Puerto Rico to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary along with my wife's sister and brother-in-law (who celebrated their 35th!). John was exceptional through the entire process of booking, paying and providing information. He was quick to respond to any messages we sent and even texted when we arrived at the airport to make sure we had arrived! When we finally checked into the property, John's first task was to invite all of us to a cook-out/soccer watch party with his friends. He is amazing and was very helpful throughout our stay! I highly recommend booking this place!

My husband and I enjoyed a two week stay here, and found the house well-equipped and clean, the bed very comfortable, and with a lovely outside dining and lounging area. I would give it another star if it also had a view towards the sea. Only by walking outside the enclosed courtyard can you get that magnificent view, and then there are no comfortable places to sit. Also, it is quite a long walk, or a short drive, to get to a broad sandy swimming beach. Not that we would have gone swimming, as it was quite windy and rainy during much of our stay. But the restaurants on Isla Verde more than make up for that! We had delicious breakfasts at Cafe Bistro, and excellent Peruvian, Argentinian, Mexican, and Chilean cuisine within walking distance, as well as Puerto Rican food in Old San Juan. One great advantage that we were not aware of in advance is the convenience of the city bus just a few feet away. The 53 and the 5 (75 cents in exact change only) take you all the way to the docks in Old San Juan, and from there it's not a long walk to get to the Castle, the Fort, and all the shops and restaurants in between. The same bus will take you to and from the airport, so we could have completely done without the rental car! We used it to get to the Botanical Garden only to find that it was stilled closed due to Hurricane Maria. The San Juan Art Museum is a must-see, and also easily reached by using the bus. The kitchen was very well-equipped for cooking most of our meals, and the SuperMax grocery is walking distance, or a very short drive. John was very welcoming, and had lots of suggestions about things to do while in Puerto Rico, and quickly responded to the few requests that we had made. Highly recommended!!

For the price, this was a very good location. On the plus side, San Juan and the airport were close by and although there was no sandy beach immediately out back, a short walk will get you to one. Tourist locations were operating and not crowded. The El Yunque National Forest was still recovering from the hurricane Maria with the visitor center closed and just a few trails open. The proprietor was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The property was quiet at night with jet traffic only slightly noticeable. The air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms was a blessing. The place was well furnished including living areas, bedrooms and kitchen appliances/cooking utensils. The power was consistently on and there was only one interruption of internet service. On the negative side, there was some residual damage from Hurricane Maria including minor debris off to the side and out of the way and, more significantly, missing or inoperative traffic lights. Some left hand turns were inconvenient but everyone was sorting this out successfully. Several restaurants in the area, including some of the better recommended ones, were closed. These were not show stoppers. The facility was on the rustic side, basically clean but not totally clean. For example, I felt the need to wash the coffee maker before using it. This was fine with me considering the price. Bottom line is I'd go back.
