Very steep road up

The host was very friendly . The place is a family run small business and the service provided was excellent . The breakfast was superb with a great choice . The location is closer to kandy city but away from the main road and peaceful.

Everything about our stay was great, wonderfull hosts, very goood breakfast.

The hosts are really nice people which definitely gives you a good overall impression of the listing. When selecting rooms, I suggest you go for a more expensive one with an aircondition as it is also bigger and much nicer. The small room without aircon is a bit smelly so we selected a bigger one and we were happy we did. There is a tv, so if you have kids, they can watch children programmes. The breakfast was nice and decent. The location is up a steep hill but easy to walk, no big deal I read in reviews. It is not very central so you take a tuktuk (5 min) and get there easily from the city center that is very busy. Kandy mountain cottage is in a quiet area which is also my personal preference. There is a hot water. Nice balcony.

I would suggest having a small fridge in the rooms, however, the hosts let us put our drinks in their big fridge downstairs. I would also suggest buying new towels - they were a bit off.

We had a very good time at Kandy Mountain Cottage. Our booking was super spontaneous on Christmas day but our hosts welcomed us so friendly. They prepared us an amazing meal and we had a really nice chat. Would totally recommend staying with these lovely and caring hosts

The hosts were amazing! They go above and beyond to give you a great stay. Breakfest was wonderfull.

1 of the 3 nights we stayed there were some problems with dogs barking.

The best owners in Kandy. Every morning they cooked great breakfast for us and recommended a lot of place for visiting. Apartments with air conditioner was good, clean and comfortable. Nice view from room.

Very warm welcome the host was waiting for us with papaya juice, they were very flexible when we had huge delay. The room was cozy and clean and also the coffee was freat in the morning

Really lovely Family! The breakfast was delicious, and because it was the singhalese new year we could try some traditional homemade cookies

It was a bit difficult to find because the location isn't marked right on the map, but they send an explaination how to go there

The family is super nice and we always had a good chat with them at breakfast. They gave us tips for activities in Kandy and were super helpful when we had questions. Also a big thank you again for spontaneously bringing us to the train station.

Joseph and Sharni will be your Sri Lankan parents when you stay here! They go above and beyond to make sure everything is ok, to help you with anything you need including scooter rental. They also love to feed you! They cook delicious food, and any type of food you want. I suffered with a bad stomach and just needed plain food, J&S were more than happy to accommodate this and made some delicious chicken, potato croquettes and boiled vegetables. Thank you so much! The bathroom also has hot water which is sometimes hard to come by in Sri Lanka.

Rooms are very basic and could be quite stuffy and uncomfortable due to the heat with only having a fan, but you get what you pay for. The meals we had were amazing but might be a little expensive for those on a tighter budget so make sure to check the costs first.

Family is very friendly and helpful. The room have big balcony doors. Open it and the room gives you more spacious and bright feeling. Bed is big and comfortable. Everything is neat and clean. The breakfast provided is very good.

As bed is very big the space in the room is less. Small bathroom. The property is little inside.
