Fieldhouse is a real oasis of tranquility close to the amenities and bustle of Newcastle City centre. It was perfect for us visiting relatives in the north of the city. Couples with Marilyns superb hospitality makes it a hidden gem.

i booked the place for my brother visit who unfortunately didnt manage to come. The place is stunning. Very looked after house, with stunning view into a field. The owner was fantastic when i met and spoke to her. Hope next time i will be able re book the place for when my family will come to visit again and hopefully they will be able to stay at this fab accomodation.

Marilyn was a brilliant host, left lots of delicious treats for us. Field House is immaculate, extremely comfortable and spacious and very well equipped. It is in a quiet peaceful location, set in stunning surroundings. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home.

A relaxed , comfortable home in a lovely home. Everything there that you require for your stay. The welcome box of "goodies" was brilliant, with even homemade cake on arrival. Towels fluffy, sheets crisp, bed comfortable. Views lovely, house central for visiting beach and town and countryside.

The whole package from meeting Bill and Marilyn, such warm friendly people. The apartment was beyond our expectations.
The welcome pack made especially to our specifications when taking NH g our looking , which was a lovely a danrastic start to the first day we arrived.

We have just returned from Field House and have had a wonderful time. The apartment is exceptionally clean and spacious and is situated close to amenities but remains quiet. The addition of the garden is fantastic and we found the location ideal for visiting the places we wanted to.

Stayed 4 nights ,lovely welcome by Marilyn who showed us around whole property.Beautyful house ,had all ground floor,rooms huge and very well presented.Lovely furnishings,comfy beds and every where spotlessly clean. Also had food basket, bread,milk,orange juice,cans of pepsi,butter,fruit,chocolate and a few other things which saves you having to shop on first day.

Fabulous host who goes above and beyond. Milk, bread, butter, eggs, wine, tea, coffee and chocolates, snacks and home made cakes greeted us on arrival.
The accommodation and value for money is second to none.
Gorgeous comfy beds with lovely mattress toppers and linen.

This was a lovely property with plenty of character. Rooms were large and everything was very clean. The property was well equipped and had a lovely garden which we had access to. It was in a very convenient location being near some pubs and plenty of shops. Newcastle and the coast line were within easy reach. Our host even brought in our washing while we were out and offered us an extra complimentary night as road conditions on the the day we left were so poor.

Absolutely beautiful place with gorgeous view. Rooms were huge and spotless. Absolutely everything you can think of was provided, and the food hamper left for us was so generous and useful!

We stayed to visit family in the area - have always stayed at premier inn Holystone for convenience- would have always stayed here if we had known about it - was recommended Field House by a member of the family who works for tourist information

Marylyn was there to welcome us to the property and guide us through her lovely house. The property itself is very charming and decorated beautifully with lots of period features and all the creature comforts one could want for a short stay. The location is superb being so close to all local amenities, but still with a beautiful rural outlook. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, and are sure it will be sooner rather than later.

We returned for our second family holiday in two years at Field House. The accommodation and garden are a haven. Light, spacious, comfortable, quiet, warm and very well equipped. Marilyn’s customer care, welcome, responsiveness and approachability are second to none. All whilst allowing us our privacy. There is so much to see and do in the local area (glorious beaches, historical sites, cafes, restaurants, gardens, parks, museums etc) and we always felt Covid safe (at the house and out and about

Booked Field House for three nights initially and later extended our stay by one night due to flight changes. Marilyn was great at helping me sort this out, great communication before we arrived ( and after, as I left a few bits behind!). The flat is comfortable and superbly equipped, and in such a pretty location.

The house was fabulous. 3 of us visited Newcastle-upon-Tyne for the rugby weekend. Found this location last minute and we absolutely loved it. Marilyn was a great host.

Perfekter Urlaub
Sehr geräumig, gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wunderschön ruhige Lage mit Blick ins Grüne. Die Begrüßung mit Obst-, Frühstückskorb und Gebäck sehr lieb und persönlich. Ein traumhafter Garten. Ich komme gerne wieder.

A lovely home away from home
Excellent staycation! Very generous host, leaving lots of lovely welcome treats. We loved the huge garden and seeing the beautiful horses over the fence, even my teenagers enjoyed their stay!
