The property is great! Great staff and service. Main access road is a bit dirty and needs attention. Not hotels fault!! Easy access to plenty of food options!!

This Hotel has problems with water, wifi never worked in the room. This property has just one restaurant and the menu is very limited and they close at 7pm everyday. If you want to have dinner or something to drink after that hour you have to go out. One day they did not have any fish. The bar is very limited with alcohol. I do not recommend this hotel and and won’t come back.

I had a nice stay at La Palapa. The food here is delicious! I was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were yummy as well. I loved how close it was to all the restaurants/bars and the town center. Very convenient. They didn’t have as much shade as I’d like. You need to be up extra early to grab lounge chairs with tiki coverage. Aside from that, great place to stay! Thanks to everyone at La Palapa!

We spent three nights at Beachfront Hotel La Palapa, and had a great experience there. Our third-floor room boasted a breathtaking ocean view, and its proximity to the main beach, sandbar, and beach bars made it an ideal location. The hotel's walkable distance to the town's main streets, lined with restaurants, bars, and shops was also great. Although we were hit by a tropical storm during our stay, which caused flooding on the streets, we still managed to explore the area with ease even though we had to navigate through puddles and flooded streets (I would advise bringing rain boots if rain is forecasted during your stay). Our room was cozy and comfortable, making it a perfect retreat from the rainstorms. We enjoyed spending time indoors waiting out the storms, relaxing with the air conditioning, TV, and ocean view. Additionally, our stay included a hot, made-to-order breakfast that was simply delicious. We would highly recommend Beachfront Hotel La Palapa and look forward to returning there if we're ever in Holbox again.

It’s conveniently located on the beach, but there are many other hotels that are located on the beach. It’s clean and the staff is pleasant. Free breakfast is a big plus, since it’s really good. We were surprised that the room we were initially given had no AC and no balcony. The staff graciously agreed to transfer us to the second floor to the room that had a balcony and AC. Just prepared to see the substandard aspects of it: chipped counters, broken stair treads, etc., Overall it was an ok stay

I booked a shuttle through the hotel. When I got to the meeting spot there was nobody there. I tried calling the hotel and no answer. They told me that the driver contacted me through WhatsApp! They never told me that is the way they would need to contact me! I got another taxi and when I got to the hotel they informed me that I needed to pay for the other taxi. I paid $400 to get to the hotel. The manager talked to me like a little kid and when I refused to pay another co-worker jumped into the conversation and then the maid jumped into the conversation to get the money! I finally said if I don't have to talk to you anymore I will give you the money! They were satisfied and went back to puffing on their vaporizer cigarettes!!! Don't get a shuttle with them! I cancelled my taxi back to the airport and got a shuttle back which was way cheaper! Other than that the hotel was great and wait staff at the restaurant was very professional and friendly!!!

Really loved this place. It was very romantic and relaxing with a lovely view of the ocean. Definitely would stay here again.

The facilities were amazing for Holbox. Great service, location, food, beach area was just the best. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our first visit with this hotel a couple years ago that we decided to book again for our 2024 trip. (Unfortunately this second time was not up to par and left us feeling very disappointed). Our main concern during our whole stay was the smell of smoke that would fill up our entire room every night from 9pm to late 4am. We mentioned this issue to the front desk on our second night and thought it was someone’s cigarette smoking, but turns out -it’s somewhere outside the neighboring hotel. Sadly we had to endure this smoke inhalation for 6 days.

It was more than amazing. Gorgeous views; the sunsets and sunrises. The staff is very nice, informative, and attentive. Would definitely go back

Visited La Palapa with my boyfriend for 2 days and we had the most amazing and relaxing time. We highly recommend! The breakfast was delicious, staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean, fresh, and had an amazing view! The ocean was beautiful and clean! The hotel was at walking distance to restaurants and little shops for souvenirs. We absolutely will come back!

Nice place with beach. Unfortunately, rooftop restuarant bar close by played loud music up to 4am. Didn't get much sleep.

The staff at La Palapa is hands down the nicest group of people on the island. The hotel is in beautiful condition, and Max (the owner) always has people keeping his property in excellent condition.

We loved the place. Our deluxe room was large, equipped with AC, a refrig, cieling fan and a smart TV. The hotel was close to the town. which is good or bad depending on your desire. (We could hear the club music until around midnight. But it didn't bother us. The hotel included breakfast was awesome! Erica, Bryan and Isis, from the front office were always welcoming and helpful. The only recommendation it they should place mats at your doorstep so you can wipe of the sand from your sandals\thongs before going into the room.

The property was beautiful and right on the beach. The staff was great and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend and we will be going back soon.

We stayed here for 10 nights. Perfect location on the beach. Nice chairs to lounge on by water with bar and food service. The hotel was just far enough from town so noise was not an issue. Staff and office people were all top notch. Very comfy beds and pillows. Sand in and around the grounds was very clean and being raked all the time. Very good restaurant on site. Would definitely stay here again!

The club next door is so loud they give each room two sets of ear plugs.

This hotel is very expensive to what it offers. the first night they didn't have hot water then I reported and they keep me waiting for hours, until the issue was resolved next day. They do not have hair conditioning and body lotion in the room. The beach doesn't seem like in the pictures and the whole town was a floating mess. the mosquitoes bit us very badly right outside the hotel

This hotel exceeded my expectations! Super low key vibe, amazing food and cocktails and a clean and quaint room with a view! I will be back!

We loved our viait to Isla Holbox. La Palapa was wonderful - quiet, clean and conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. The food and cocktaila at the restaurant were top notch. Would recommend.

Hotel was nice if you are trying to relax and be away from the younger crowd. I do think the price I paid was too expensive for the type of room I received. But the staff was super nice and made my stay more pleasant.

The hotel is very nice, the grounds are impeccably maintained. There were few choices at restaurant for as a gf vegetarian. There was no hot water in shower or sink, ever. The staff are so friendly and lovely!
