The property is really nice but the service and food were below our expectations after coming here from other locations like Tulum and Playa.

We had the seaview room with pool. All the bottoms ones had a pool. The view wasn't seaview, but it was the front of the property closest to ocean. This room was the most private which was nice for us since we didn't have kids. It was good for the days that we worked remotely as we had the nice relaxing view.

Requested a Ocean Front, But the room had no ocean view, WIFI never worked in the room, AC put inside a closet with doors, so half of the AC stays inside the closet. Service 0, Got no solution on my claims. Depressing place, For the price we paid, I think there are better options at a better price. The upper pool they had to remove a glass cause of the hurricane but they only put a precaution tape. Very unsafe. Depressing

The place isn’t bad, but it is not great. Room and showers need work. The mosquitoes could make it through the crack in the door and would get bit at night. Just our room don’t know about others. Just enough water pressure to come out of the shower head. Other than that food was good and the pools were nice.

The lobby staff was horrible. They nickel and dime you. No one knew the towel deposit. We got different amounts from two different employees. They also wanted to verify how I got my hotel stay price.

Checking in was not good the property is not accessible for handicapped people

It is a nice place to relax and enjoy the beach, its just in front of sea, easy access to beach, nice rooms and clean.

Staff was amazing , weather was not great, but the staff was super helpful and accommodating to all the guest. We did do all inclusive and wheh we arrived we come to find out it is limited and there is a premium all inclusive which was not offered when we booked. Bit other then that the options of food and drinks was good.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was caring and attentive throughout. It’s not brand new and sort of impossible to keep perfectly clean given the weather and roads. They did a very good job of making it comfortable and welcoming.

Boutique property. Real feel for Mexico with art decor. Beach clean, service on beach good, beds available. Walkable to town centre. It would be good if management with rest of hotels nearby cleared seaweed away. Starts to smell when dumped together

This is our 4th time on Isla Holbox and so far the best hotel for the money in my opinion. The location is on the nicest part of the nicest beach in Holbox and has great beach front covered beach beds with attentive service and great drinks.The staff go above and beyond being helpful, friendly and attentive. Usually hotels have a normal mix of happy and disgruntled employees but not here! Everyone was a gem! The level of attention you receive is unusual for what I consider a mid-range price point hotel. Special shout out to: Don Chepe/Jose (the bartender) who makes really good cocktails (and I am very picky!!), Silvestre, Azucena, Jesus and really all of the people who work in the dining room as servers. We rarely choose an all inclusive option but ended up switching to it for the last part of our stay. Food in Isla Holbox has gotten quite pricey and we felt we have adequately explored the local food scene in Holbox over the years. The price point and food quality for the all-inclusive option simply couldn't be beat and we were happy we made the switch. We knew that it was going to be brutally hot in Holbox this time of year so the plunge pool was a welcome addition for late nights when the big pools are closed and we still wanted to swim. We were really pleasantly surprised by this resort and would definitely stay here again!

Great spot to relax and unwind with family or friends. Staff is friendly. We had the all inclusive option and the food was way better than expected. I Will definitely try to go back. Exactly what I wanted.

Overall, the property was decent. The access to the beach was easy and just a few short steps away. Along with the breakfast buffet, which had a touch of Mexican-style cooking, it made breakfast an event to look forward to. We did not end up purchasing the all-inclusive package as we found enjoyable and variety of restaurants in the nearby small town. However, there were a few concerns that deemed this hotel a 3-stars and not a 5-star establishment. First, visiting in June (low season) meant high humidity with average temperatures of 90 degrees plus. We arrived in our room with the AC turned off, causing considerable sweat as we unloaded our luggage. Second, more than half of the AC was blocked off by two pointless doors, preventing the room from cooling properly. We reported it to the front desk, but they only sent a technician with no follow-up. After a few hours, we returned to the front desk, this time with pictures showing the pointless doors and our dissatisfaction. Initially, we were met with pushback and excuses that the doors were part of the design and could not be removed. Only after further persistence and threatening to write negative reviews did they agree to try removing the doors, which they eventually did in a timely manner. After the doors were removed, the room cooled down tremendously. Overall, the hotel received 3 stars and lost a returning customer not because of the amenities' shortcomings but because of the staff's initial pushback.

Had a great stay, only problem AC didn’t work properly.

Problem to aceptar dollar.

This is a lovely hotel and perfect for families! The hotel is close to the beach and has two pools. Our teenagers particularly enjoyed the little dipping pools and hammocks and I would definitely recommend the rooms that have those pools, especially if you’re there when it’s hot (we visited in May and it was boiling). The staff could not be more helpful. The beach is pretty and it’s lovely to wander down to watch the sunsets every night. The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the main town, so it’s easy to walk in for dinner etc. The breakfasts are very good, including fresh fruit etc. The only drawback is the noise of a generator close by, which can be heard all day and throughout the evening. The generator belongs to a small shop which is close to the hotel, so I don’t suppose the hotel can do anything about this.

We had an amazing stay at Villas HM Palapas del Mar. We traveld with 2 families and got upgraded so we could stay in 1 villa, this included a pool on the ground floor. The villa and rooms are very nice and spacious. Cleaning was done evey day. The food and drinks are great and the service (also on the beach, which is a 1 minute walk) is amazing. On arrival we opted for all inclusive, a good choice if you spend most your daytime near the hotel and like a drink every now and then. Only point of improvement in our room was the showerhead/hand shower. We stayed for 5 nights during our 15 day trip in yucatan. This we experienced as a good amount of time before leaving home.

We stayed 7 nights at HM Palapas del Mar in a double room with a private pool. The room was fairly spacious and very clean, same for the bathroom. Housekeeping was done daily and excellent every time. We did not have all-inclusive as we chose to have only breakfast included. Breakfast has really good, buffet style with wide choice of sweet/savory, fruits/meat/dairy/etc Holbox centre is a 5min walk along the beach with many many bar and dining options, we were glad we did not have inclusive so we could try out many different places and explore downtown. Highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again

It was a simple yet good place, the all inclusive was basic but it had everything needed. Nice people, good location, nothing to complain

This is an expensive hotel , located in a nice beach but the beach has sea weed that is rotten and smells horrible , they SHOULD dedicate one employee with inexpensive tools to clean it and that makes a huge difference , no one cares about this very simple issue …. additionally and this is a minor event , the tropical music they have on the restaurant is atypical to this kind of place …

Over all the staff was wonderful. The food was just ok. The grounds were very clean, not over crowded like bigger resorts. The beach area is perfect for kids or just sun bathing. I would go again. Don’t pay up for the personal pool.

We were so excited to stay at this property after looking at the website photos. Unfortunately, once we arrived, we realized the hotel looks nothing like the photos. Our room was very dirty; the floors were so gross, and the bathroom looked like a horror story. Definitely not worth the four stars. The shower barely had any water coming out, and only cold water. I mentioned this to the front desk twice and was told someone would come check it out, but no one ever came, so I gave up asking. The pool looked weird and not blue water, and smaller than advertised. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, that’s the only highlight. I would recommend this hotel to post true photos of the rooms and property and reduce stars

We loved the hotel location- very walkable to downtown, Casa de las Tortugas for dinner, the breakfast is very delicious and traditional Mexican with lots of options, delicious fruit juices, pastries, omelets and more! The staff is so friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful and a Mayan massage is available next to beach. It's a quiet area and the beds comfortable. The hotel will help you with any excursions, taxis, ect. We really enjoyed our stay!

The most beautiful relaxing and inviting property we’ve been to. It was not over crowded, and entirely enjoyable from check in to check out. Stunning property.

This was our 2nd stay here and never disappointed. Attentive service, yummy breakfast, clean, great location. Get the junior suite with its own pool.
