Une magnifique maison de ville «Johnson's Pied-à-terre» au cœur du quartier historique du quartier français. Niché dans la cour de l'historique '' Lodge Alley Inn '' avec une fontaine et des lampes à gaz pour ajouter au caractère pittoresque de cet endroit très spécial. Cette allée relie East Bay à State Street.
Détendez-vous dans votre propre cour privée fermée et fermée, ou asseyez-vous sur le balcon et profitez du bruit de la fontaine ou du scintillement des lampes à gaz. What an awesome home! Beautifully and generously furnished, so clean, and in a perfect location! Loved the private patio area with table. Could walk everywhere in Charleston from it too. Was so nice to come back from the hustle bustle to the beautiful and quiet courtyard area.

I usually don't bother with negative reviews but conversations with Sharon Johnson, our host, was completely uncalled for and unprofessional.
We booked a long weekend (over $1,500 plus airfare) with our 2 daughters who were traveling from different parts of the country.
Unfortunately, 2 days before our trip, my mother-in-law broke her hip. Her doctor strongly advised against travel as her health was declining quickly.
We immediately called Mrs. Johnson to let her know about the situation.
She asked if we'd taken out traveler’s insurance but unfortunately had not.
Mrs. Johnson advised us to contact VRBO stating she had ‘no authority to refund’. When we contacted VRBO, they informed us that refunds were at the discretion of the host. The customer service rep called Mrs. Johnson who responded, ‘no refund.’
We take full ownership of not having purchased the insurance but were hopeful that Mrs. Johnson would work with us somehow given the situation.
We asked Mrs. Johnson if she'd allow us to pass our weekend to family/friends. She agreed but due to short notice, we didn't find anyone.
We approached Mrs. Johnson one last time in hopes that she'd maybe give us a small refund/discount on a future trip.
We were willing to provide medical/flight change information.
Mrs. Johnson texted a response saying “sorry... one of us has to lose and it’s not going to be me."
We own/rent a high-end condo in Naples, FL and would NEVER treat customers this way.

Lodge Alley was in a great location and suited us perfect! Walked to the waterfront and downtown attractions. Public parking garage was nearby. Quick response from the owners.

This was a great home base for our visit to Charleston. The unit was well appointed, and we enjoyed having the private outside space. Just a note for light sleepers - there was a lot of movement of bins early in the morning and one evening there was a boisterous outdoor reception at the High Cotton. Wouldn't prevent us from returning.

Fantastic location - walk to everything - great restaurants within minutes and Harris-Teeter a few blocks down East Bay. Lovely outdoor patio, home very well-provisioned. Comfortable & cozy - beautiful interior decor. We would definitely stay here again! Sharon & Tom are great hosts and very helpful / responsive.

We brought two of our daughters on a college grad trip to Charleston and chose this French Market townhouse for our stay. It was the perfect location! We loved having two bathrooms to use and the little extras of make up wipes and bathroom necessities. It was so close to the city market and Bay Street. We would definitely choose this place again!

I can’t say enough about this home! The location is in easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, sightseeing. It is beautifully furnished in a warm, southern way. Little extras were already there when we checked in so we didn’t have to run out for soap or tissues, etc. The bedrooms were luxurious and bathrooms were modern and spotless. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this again on a future trip to Charleston.

As others have mentioned, it is located in an almost perfect spot. We used our car only one day to go a plantation, otherwise we walked to all other outings (restaurants, pubs, city market, museums, water front, shopping, etc. The house looks like the photos, no disappointments. It has one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve stayed in. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house but enjoyed the patio area for morning coffee and evening wine. Checking in and out was great. We definitely would stay there again if we ever make it back to Charleston.

My husband and I agree - this property is one of the main reasons we return to Charleston each year! The location alone makes this a perfect spot, but the owner and housekeeping staff ensure that absolutely every detail is in order for a delightful getaway. We have stayed in numerous short term properties over the years (this one several times) and this one is by far the cleanest, most well-equipped and beautifully appointed of them all. The owner has ensured that the guest feels warmly welcomed and is 100% invested in our experience in Charleston! The location was amazing, in fact, it was better than Belmond. This was a such a beautiful clean relaxing environment to spend our "down time" in, over our 5 day stay in Charleston. We were a group of 4 (2 couples) and parked our cars once unloaded, never needed them the rest of our stay. We walked everywhere, did tours, enjoyed the restaurants, shopped and took in the wonderful Charleston Vibe. We were thrilled with the location and comfort of this wonderful VRBO property. During our "down time" we played games and visited with our dear friends. This property far exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful house with extra special amenities, comfortable beddings and touches. Great outdoor courtyard, excellent food and drinks around Charleston, location of house is superior! We actually parked the car on Wednesday and didn't get back in it until Sunday! Great memories.
