The convenience of being so close to Queen Street was what got my attention. 24 hour check in meant I could get off my late flight and enjoy my room being ready for me and my friends to have valet, get ready amd walk over to the casino. Buffet breakfast was delicious and had a huge variety. It made our night easier that we could order drinks to be delivered to our room while we got ready. Highly recommend

Every room should have a balcony or at least an opening window for fresh air.

Unfortunately the breakfast was a huge let down. For the price it had very little options - food was ok.

Love the location and access to restaurants, bars, Skytower, Woolies a short walk away. Bed was comfy. Room was great. Swimming pool was nice, spa pool amazing.

We booked a portacot, arrived well after 3pm check in. Was told that one was already set up in the room. No cot was put together when we arrived. We waited for someone to come and nobody did. As it got later, my toddler fell asleep on the bed and I cbf chasing up Housekeeping. Its not the first time they've forgotten. One time I chased staff up multiple times before someone arrived after 9pm to set it up. I wasnt going to repeat the chasing again as the cot was meant to be in the room like I was told it was. We slept with our toddler for our two nights.

Location fantastic. Pool facilities were great. Staff were awesome. Comfortable room. Stayed for our wedding anniversary. Received an upgrade to room with a view of the Harbour Bridge. 10 minutes after arriving at room, complimentary prosecco arrived with a card. Very classy and hugely appreciated.

Breakfast was busy and staff couldn't restock food quick enough at times. However, staff were very accommodating for anything asked for.

Was much appreciated to check in early and really the reason we chose Sky city Grand. Good location and only wish All of Auckland wasn’t under construction. Fantastic start to our trip!!

Nice, very clean modern rooms. Great city view and handy having chrome cast on the tv. Loved having the bath. The hotel is beautiful. Loved the gym, pool, spa and sauna set up. The location is great as it’s close to Queen street and lots of great dining options. Plus a great view of the Sky Tower from the hotel.

The lifts took a long time as one of them is being upgraded. That wasn’t a big deal but when we went to use the stairs we didn’t realise until we were many floors down that the doors are all locked and you can’t get in even with the key card so we were quite stuck. Luckily we found a staff member who was able to let us back in. This was very frustrating though not being able to use the stairs. Also no guest laundry so we had to use the laundromat across the road. Both machines were faulty and it took ages to get one load complete. The gluten free and dairy free options were extremely limited for in room dining and the buffet breakfast. The buffet breakfast restaurant was stunning but it was disappointing there wasn’t much I could actually eat.
