It has a wonderful waterfall nearby. It feels so peaceful. I would definitely stay here again.
The peace you feel there.

We enjoyed the service and great breakfast!!
A bit far from downtown but taxis will come to property when called.

Loved the location, architecture and the host/ owners. Very whimsical and tasteful design. It's obvious the owners are proud, and should be, of what they have built. Aside from the architecture, there is a spectacular waterfall adjacent to the property that leaves the soothing sound of rushing water in the air. My family and I loved the stay. One of our favorite places we have stayed.

This is, undoubtedly, the most beautiful hotel in Banos, built by two Ecuadorian-born German brothers in their former playground. The rooms are spacious, the freshly prepared breakfast is excellent, and the architecture respects nature, making you feel like you are in the forest, in a tree house, while enjoying a stay in a four-star hotel next to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country. I absolutely adore this hotel, which is worth every penny; that is, the pricing is fair for the setting and service. I love this place. Staying in this hotel is an experience, rather than a mere stay. The brothers were also highly helpful gave excellent recommendations to the best driver in town and to the best spa (El Refugio), where we enjoy the cajon bano. Thank you so much for this stay!
There was nothing to complain. Trust me, I travelled with three Czechs, and they did not find anything to complain about, so they were silent the whole time. Everything was perfect.

Gorgeous property tucked away near a waterfall! Our room was lovely and we had great breakfasts during our stay. Kiersten recommended a great tour company that we used for renting bikes and rafting.

After the noise of Cuenca, we were thrilled by this nature location, yet only a quick taxi ride to town. Breakfasts were good and filling. We had the large room with kitchen and fireplace, and there was a little friendly restaurant maybe a five minute walk down the hill. My sisters had smaller rooms which they also loved. They linked us with a wonderful van driver and guide who we used the next 2 days as well. The architecture of this place is amazing. Waterfalls two minutes walk away, birds and beautiful flora. . . Highly recommend.
Family run place, so no one right there every minute to ask your every question. but no problem

It was well located, outside the city in a nice area, very quiet. The design of the houses is very nice. The rooms are big.
The breakfast is included but it is not very good.

Our favourite stay in Ecuador by far. the staff went out of their way to accommodate us at all time and were so thorough in their information on Baños. the setting of the hotel is frankly gorgeous, as is the breakfast included in the stay. Oliver was a fantastic host. Will recommend to everyone and would definitely return.

If you like your hotels to have soul and character you'll love Finca Chamanapamba. It's set on the outskirts of town which means your rooms look out onto some amazing waterfalls and mountains covered in forest and not a noisy street filled with tourist agencies. The architecture is unique (think a palatial hobbit house) and the welcome is exceptional. Oliver greets you with his infectious smile and will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is wonderful. We had three days and wanteded to fit in some white water rafting, canyoning, downhill mountain biking, zip lining... He organised all of that for us while we recovered from a very long journey and even managed to organise a couple of extra things for us too. Oh and his dogs Bobby and and Anya will become your furry companions (you'd have to have a heart of stone to be able to resist their attention!).
You will probably want to get a taxi into the centre of town for restaurants and bars, but to be honest Oliver will make sure you get a great driver that will probably end up ferrying you around to all your activities and a few extra bonus places too - so there's your local guide, which worked really well for our family.

We loved the design and the setting of the guest house: just beautiful!
The room was comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was good.
We loved the dogs as well!
A bit more storage space in the bathroom would be nice.

The property has a design that is a little bit crazy but nice.
We were in the room in the main building. Diagonally below the reception. The room has two beds in the living room (for our kids) that were fine, but the master bedroom had two skylights that did not have any blinds. See my picture. Ridiculous. at 5:30am it starts to get light in the room and when we were there it was a full moon and it was light in the room the whole night. I want a choice for this amount of money. Also the waterfall is very noisy in this master bedroom. The shower is located in the area between the master bedroom and living room, so when our daughters were showering, I could not go to our bedroom if I wanted to give them privacy. I was expecting a room with a luxury feel to it, but it was the worst stay in our 3 week vacation because of the daylight in the morning. Also other reviews state that the breakfast is very good. It wasn't. It was ok, but not excellent. You get toast, scrambled eggs and fruit and coffee/juice but not much more. Picture attached. It is decent, but I felt that the other reviews were coming from another location or something. For this amount of money you can find something better.

This place is just amazing!! what a fabulous location…situated in the middle of the mountains with a beautiful cascade visible as you reach the property. the entire place is like a dream location. tree house properties made from stunning wood. if you love nature and you want something different from your standard hotel then this is your place! you can hear the waterfall running at night and it just feels very magical. it’s about 10 minutes away from the main town of Banos, so if you want a more quiet location at night then this is perfect for that. the owner is super helpful and the service was excellent. we had breakfast included which was really good and huge portions. our kids fell in love with the owners dogs who were so good and relaxed. There’s no tv in the room. This really is a property where you can escape from it all and really relax but if you have children like us, ours had their IPads and we watched movies at night on their, so you really don’t notice it.

What a crazy, beautiful labour of love this hotel/guest house is. We loved it and its’ origin story. The rooms are enormously characterful, all different set within incredible surroundings. We arrived at night so it was in the morning that we discovered the views - waterfalls and mountains galore. Absolutely scrummy breakfast making our mornings very exciting - great coffee, an abundance of fruit, pastries, eggs. All fresh and well presented. The two sons dealt with us throughout our stay, both very welcoming, gentle and informative about things to see in the local area. Oh, and they have two of the friendliest dogs ever.
Nothing, just wish we could have stayed longer

The resort is incredibly beautifully located and very special - way up the mountain, adventurous approach. Waterfalls right next to the accommodation :)
The rooms are huge and quaint, the place has something special. There was plenty of breakfast and for us, as we live vegan, even guacamole every day! Good bread by Ecuadorian standards ;) During the day you can fill up on water for free and take tea and coffee.
Incredibly great are also the two dogs Anja and Bobby, we were so in love! (even if Bobby was always a bit jealous when you petted Anja :D)
The hosts (a German family) are very friendly, helpful and chill - had to deal especially with the two sons, who also gave us some tips for the area.
The rooms are nice, but no longer the newest and rather dark due to the construction. But we also had a room on the ground floor/ground floor, so maybe the upper rooms are a bit brighter. Beds quite hard. The price of the rooms suggests that the accommodation is more in the direction of "spa", but it was too simple/rustic for that (although nice, we had a nice stay and would also recommend the accommodation!).
